Might as well wait them out if they are setting tables at $200 bucks. As far as the dealers I have heard from others who went on Saturday that the dealers were making mistakes. I guess they are all new to this and CT probably cant get an experienced dealer from anywhere else. A good dealer in AC or Vegas is not going to pull up stakes and move to West Virginia. A dealer at the craps table has t

Although $100-$200 blackjack sounds high I believe it. When you have almost no competition you can do that. Surprised they didnt have all tables working. The house take on even one table is enourmous. For $200 blackjack in Vegas you would expect some good comps but what the hell can Charlestown comp you with other than the food and maybe a night in the hotel and who wants to stay there.

When I worked in a restaurant some of the black wait staff wouldnt even want blacks at their stations because of the stigma of poor tippers. My experience is that there are alot of people of all types that leave nothing regardless of the service. Old people were the worst they would bitch and moan about everything and stay for hours. By the amount of their tips I think they thought it was still

Also learn the games before you play. I have seen some real beatings take place in AC and Vegas by customers who knew nothing about the true odds. Plenty of gambling software to teach you at much less expense. .

Back in the day it was unheard of for an album cover to show nipples. Now you have Britney Spears showing her used up snatch to anyone that cares to look.

I hadnt heard but figured to give it a couple of weeks to let the crowds die down. I did read they were setting table minimums at $10 which isnt bad. A shame Virginia has to watch all that lost revenue go over the border when we could use it here. Charles Town has a sweet setup being so close to DC. Other than road improvements they dont have to provide much else as the customers will be almost

I think restaurants will ban guns at the door to help protect themselves from civil liability. If they allow guns inside and somebody shoots another customer lawyers will be lined up at the courthoue to sue the restaurant. They will claim if the restaurant hadnt allowed guns in it never would have happened. In the real world restaurants have deep pockets and that is where the lawyers will flock

Am I the only one that sees this as a ripe target for terrorists? Looking at all the damage and economic impact one broken pipeline will have on the U S, I cannot imagine the people that hate our guts dont see this as well.

The all you can eat buffet is a communist plot to take over the U S one heart at a time. I have seen some awful sites when I last went to one, which was over a year ago with some co workers. Never again. People just make pigs of themselves and it is the ultimate assault against your heart.

Maybe an independent audit of the books is in order. Not saying fraud but the treasurer at Navy Elementary walked away with almost $200,000 from their funds before someone got wise. The majority of non profits have little oversight from what I have seen in the past when it comes to expenditures. IMO if the money was being raised for the event then every last penny should go to the event.

Meade, I have to ask. What kind of job do you have that pays the rent? I know most of your musical appearances are open mic night so you dont make money there. You dont have to be specific just maybe the occupation. p.s. If you tell me you are getting some type of disability check I will kill myself.

My experience is companies will ship jobs overseas and save bucks. Yet I dont see the reduction in cost to U S consumers when the product is delivered. The moral issue I have is to ax U S citizens on one hand and taking a tax break with the other. You shouldnt be able to have it both ways.

I agree, I just hate to see us at 10% unemployment and still shipping jobs out of the country. When I see companies get tax breaks and the profits dont go to help the country giving them the break in the first place. The tax breaks are at the cost of U S taxpayers. The loss of government revenue has to be made up somewhere.

I am not sure the job picture will ever get any better, but I like to hope so. What does piss me off are companies getting tax breaks and government contracts that outsource the lower entry level jobs to overseas. A good friend is the last person left in her office for doing billing and accounts. The rest of the staff, around 25 people, were laid off. The accounts and billing are now done in Ind

A lot of employers can request as part of your employment that you take a drug/alcohol test when you are involved in an accident. I would hope the police would require this as well especially with a gun being discharged. Of course they wont hold him down and make him take it but upon refusal you should be terminated from employment. It would help if the police departments had as a rule if you ar

Although it sounds hopeless I hope you hang in there. I recall the movie Up in the air and how they went around laying people off from various companies. The movie was too real for me as most the people being axed were around my age. When they came in the buildings the employees had the whos next look. My company recently gave us a furlough until they could fix budget problems. It is scary not

Drinking and carrying a gun is never a good idea. It is disturbing that he is on desk duty. Sounds like means he is in contact with the public on a limited basis but still carrying a gun. Wouldnt on leave with pay be a better alternative?

When a good friend of mine died he had left instructions, no long drawn out funeral, nobody forced to give speeches and everyone dress casual. That is exactly what we gave him. I know he would have appreciated it. The fact that this lady showed up is more indicative of her respect for the deceased than her attire.
