When I had Eagles season tickets at the Vet, late 90s-early 00's, a ticket in the 700 level cost 300 bucks. Three hundred and you could go to all eight home games plus pre-season. That's dirt cheap, which meant any lowlife with 30 bucks could afford a ticket. And of course these people would show up 5 hours early and get drunk- people who are probably already assholes to begin with- so you'd see alot of boorish behavior (which is waayyy over-hyped, btw). I still go to a few games a year and can say it's gotten alot tamer at the Linc though. I think the cheapest season ticket is around 750 now, so it's a different class of people sitting up top. The behavior there nowadays is no different from the behavior at FedEx.
As far as this toddler with a beer bottle, it's alot of hype. It's a pic taken from far away, so who knows what the heck was going on. The kid could've picked up an empty and put it to his mouth, it's not like some 3 yr old was rushed to the ER with alcohol poisoning. If a parent gave a toddler beer at a Phillies game, I can gaurantee people sitting near them would intervene and call security. It's actually hilarious that someone would think that Philadelphians are so out-of-control that they would stand idle while a little kid was being abused.
