There's one in PA close to where my family lives. I went there once long ago and it was filled with crummy looking people ages 40 to 60, with waist sizes from 40 to 60. And alot of old people too.

It was actually depressing.

My wife's grandmother loved that place when she was alive. We'd go every Mother's Day and on her birthday. You'll never find a more wretched hive of depression. Old people, people with no concept of table manners, and just generally the lower echelon of society. It's just vile.

Golden Corral is also depressing and the people that go to these places make you thankful for what you have.

The all you can eat buffet is a communist plot to take over the U S one heart at a time.

I have seen some awful sites when I last went to one, which was over a year ago with some co workers. Never again. People just make pigs of themselves and it is the ultimate assault against your heart.

Don't knock Golden Corral, good eats for $10 when you're hungry. They have a great salad bar too. I'm not saying it's an everyday thing, but it's packed every night and not everyone there is huge.

Golden Corral is such a ripoff when you consider that for $25 you can go to Phillips in DC and get all you can eat:

crab legs
softshell crabs (when they are in season)
clams
muslces
crawdads
shrimp
and a shitload of regular stuff thats all better than GC.

The Corral in Frederick MD made me feel like in was in line at Kraft Services on the set of Deliverance.

It's not that cheap. The fountains drinks are charged separate at about $2/person. Save the money and go to a Chick-Fil-A or a Boston Market for the same price or less.

I haven't been there in almost a decade. Boy, has it really gone downhill. I find microwaveable stuff from Costco that has more taste. The salads were stale. The soups were watered down.
