I heard someone saw a threat on Tumblr and/or Twitter Thursday. Threat was supposedly by someone who was upset about one of the fistfights Thursday. Threat implied or said that a gun might be brought to school Friday. So the school got the regular police involved (not just the officer already assigned to the school). Don't know much more.

It's not a super long walk, but the path around Lake Royal in Burke is pretty. Good for walking or jogging. Unless they've smoothed/paved it in the past few years, not so great with a stroller/scooter/bike.

Someone tagged the SLHS seniors' signature wall in the stadium. Happened sometime between the end of the SLHS-HHS varsity game Friday night and this morning. After some review, we determined that the "3 days" and "5 days" were more likely lousy editing than a ridiculous demand - the standard timeframe is "30 days" to comply or "15 days" to complain. Here's a new one from Sequoia! Property maintenance deemed insufficient because they say the homeowner must treat for "clover and weeds". Timeframe? Given 3 days from the date of the letter, which was a Thursday and the letter arrived on a Saturday. Time in which to send a written rebuttal? 5 days from the date of the letter. HOA regs? Agree that it sounds like you should replace the driveway with one that works, assuming you can afford it. Until the asphalt plants reopen, could you do a workaround by putting some gravel, pea gravel, and/or sand in the trouble spot to even things out? A piece of slate?
