A shotgun is much more powerful, and much easier to shoot- mainly because it's a shoulder arm, not because of the multiple pellets. Be aware that at the ranges you'd use a shotgun in a home, the shot doesn't spread very far- think the size of a fist, or maybe larger if you fired down a hallway, but there's no "cone of death." You have to aim, just not as precisely as with a rifle. The argument f

> Would you rather give all your money to the > already rich oil companies, who are raking in > record profits? Yes. The oil companies may be making "record profits," but that's because it's all more expensive and the totals are higher; they aren't making abnormal profit margins in terms of percentages. Sales are up, and costs are up. If ethanol was actually cheaper, that would be okay

I've noticed that all the gas stations I've been to lately say they have 10% ethanol. Are there any that sell 100% gas? When gas prices are through the roof, I do not want to be paying welfare checks to corn farmers in Iowa, or the Archer-Daniels Midland company.

I was mainly thinking of CDs, wondering if you all buy them on Amazon or if there are still local record stores. I'm looking for some classical music which isn't up on Itunes Plus yet,and I'm not sure I want to go and buy the DRM versions of it.

Since Tower Records is gone, does anyone have another place you like with a good selection, or do you just use Amazon and Itunes these days?

Make sure to actually read the reports before you go avoiding some restaurant. A lot of the "critical" violations aren't really that bad.

Hi, I'm headed to NOVA for some classes. Are there any of those websites where students rate professors, or anything like that? Also, is any one campus better than the others?

I was wondering how good the GSM cellular coverage (Att/Cingular et al) is in this area. How does it compare to Verizon's CDMA coverage, for instance? I think Verizon is supposed to have the best coverage, but I think the GSM phones are better. I like that all you have to do is switch SIM cards, and I think that AT&T doesn't cripple the phones like Verizon does. I want good coverage though,

Frankly, I think openly carrying a gun in an urban area like this isn't appropriate, especially considering how safe this area is. The fact is that there are people who don't know that it's legal (I haven't looked into it myself but I'm assuming you're right), and to walk into a restaurant or something and scare people is rude. When concealed-carry is allowed, you don't have to do that. Out in t

I'm not sure, but I think you can carry any gun you have, and you don't have to pick just one. If you're not a shooter or you don't know your guns, I'd recommend you take an NRA safety course and they probably also have courses specifically about concealed carry. The NRA headquarters is in Fairfax off of Waples Mill Road I think. A pistol is much harder to shoot well than a rifle is. As for wha

Do you not already have dental insurance? That could be a problem. With my insurance, you have to have it for 6 months before it will pay for fillings, and 18 months for some more serious work. With medical things, you can get coverage without waiting periods for existing conditions, if you've been coverred in the past; I think you have around 60 days to get a new plan. I think the old plan poss

Thank you for your service. I don't really know if it would be normal for the insurance check to go to you, or the dentist. I haven't had dental problems, but with medical problems I don't recall getting any checks from the insurance company; I just paid my share. I'm not sure about what dentists, but your insurer might have a list of dentists you have to choose from, the ones they will work wi

In that case, if y'all don't hear from me this weekend, I'll be huddled in my basement clutching a shotgun. Seriously though, in that case I guess it might be best to buy with a credit card so there's a record? Still, it seems really stupid to have a prize that big and not have a record besid the ticket itself. In a cetain way it might be easier if you had to split the winnings, so you'd get le

Yeah, that's one thing that worries me about winning that much money. I would probably prefer to stay anonymous, but I don't know if that's possible. Suddenly you have the responsibility of having all that money, you might have to worry if you're safe, and you have to think about what to give your family and stuff. LIke, do I want reporters showing up at my door and broadcasting "A RICH GUY LIVES

I would jjust go to a regular mechanic for routine maintenance. You have to be careful with some things. Like about someone's coolant being topped off, there are different kinds of coolant. There's the old green, there's Toyota pink type coolant, GM Dexcool, and some new super-long-life coolants. If you use the wrong one and mix them, it could screw up your car.

aren't there left turns on 28? I believe I have driven slowly in the left lane while looking for a turn. That's actually one reason I hate driving on the Beltway. There are a lot of left exits, so the normal rules can't really apply. It really makes for chaos.

It should be able to carry as many people as an SUV, and be safer and more efficient.

I haven't had this happen, but I'm curious. Is there some way to get that corrected administratively, without taking it to court? I'd want to try and call somebody, but I don't know if you'd want to contact the PD, or the courts, or what.

Someone who drives a Miata probably actually knows something about driving cars and has it because it handles. It's not a high-end car such as a Porsche, but most cars aren't. It's too small to be a person's only car but it's a good second car. I guess it's not a "showoff" car but some people get a car to drive it.

They'd have the Navy, but we'd have the CIA on our side. Maybe we should keep some of PW County, and have new CIA/MS13 death squads formed. Aren't some of the root DNS servers in Herndon? And AOL in Reston I think. We would definitely win the war of information. The CIA would acquire arms for us and hide the buildup from the rest until it was too late. Oh, and they'd give the enemy drugs and AID

I have a question. I remember being a child, and I remember the woods around our house as being dense. For instance, we's take a Christmas tree out back, to a place to throw away, and walk back to this place that had a path and stuff. Now it seems like there are only bigger trees and you can see all the way back though them. Has anyone noticed a change like this in your woods? It's hard to say e
