As for Facets, I am aware of it, but don't you think any effort to help the homeless is better than none at all? Its been proven in numerous studies, that putting a homeless person into a home, assisting them with sobriety and other issues, leads to a reduction in crime.

Lets not forget, some of the homeless are Vietnam vets.
We can't let our vets twitch in the wind without at least trying to help.

Gordon and BEH both make good points here. Unfortunately the VA is one federal agency, that has had some high marks, but for the most part has failed our veterans, much like how the federal government fails us all on a daily basis.

As with the homeless, many are veterans, whom are experiencing PTSD and other conditions. They are our heroes, regardless of their economic status. Also, faith based places, generally do a better job, with less than the federal government or other levels of gov't. Which is why I'm very happy to support the Lamb Center.

There's nothing wrong with helping people down on there luck, or with mental disabilities. But the Lamb Center enables criminal sociopaths in order to promote their rligious agenda. Many of the staff have criminal bckrounds. Paul Mastone is a drug addict who they allowed to embezzle money from people's disability checks reppeatley because his family is prominent in the Truro Church, which sponsers the Lamb Center. Bob Wyatt was the executive director, who left under a cloud, probably because of similar financil malfeasence. This guy was running the place for years. All of a sudden, he was gone.
