Anyone know of any stores that still carry Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale around Fairfax or within 30 miles of Fairfax? Missed the roll-out, and now I cannot find any. Total Beverage is out, tried a few of the Dogfish Head restaurants - nothing. Anyone have a stash of this goodness?

Nery's Pupuseria out in Loudoun is amazing. She parks in front of an antique shop on Rt 15 and 704. Worth the drive. Not open Sunday. Taquitos (tacos) with beef are fantastic, Pork Pupusas, she even serves tounge.

Another vote for AK Auto - Abe and crew are fantastic. They stress honesty and education and I've found that to be true. Took my car in to have heat shield rattle repaired - they took off offending piece and told me I would be wasting my money on a weld job and all needed parts were covered. No charge. The changed screwed my setup pretty good - I had to reprogram TiVo and try and get all the channels back I had before in the lineup. I don't get bills - I pay online so I tend to miss notices that show up in paper bills. Thinking of making the move to Verizon which is cheaper - just don't know how it will work with the TiVo. I had this go on with the Washington Post in Burke. I had a copy randomly delivered at least once a week and sometimes more. Because I traveled a lot, it was an issue for me at the time. After several comedic phone calls to the paper (along the lines of "I want to stop delivery because I'm not a subscriber - OK what is your address we don't have you in the system! - Because I'M NOT A SUBSCRIBER

Friday Night (May 18th) we tried to go and there was a 30 min wait for chicken so we left and went somewhere else. Tried again today (Sunday) for lunch and the "machines" were broken - whatever that means. Not sure we'll be back for attempt number 3 anytime soon.

Ahem... Burke is not Fairfax Station. I agree Burke is a decent spot - it has crime just like everyplace else in Fairfax County but not nearly as much as some other locales. The trails back in the woods and around all of the lakes are great for walks and runs, the grass along the road always gets mowed, and finally some new restaurants moving in.

Been there a few times - nice enough. Food isn't what Ho's Dynasty used to have (not so great anymore) but better than some others in the area. What also impressed me was the guy working the counter in a frenzy. The place was full and carry out orders kept coming in and this guy multitasked like a champ - I just sat and watched while I waited for my pickup order.

Born and raised in Fairfax. There is a reason we go out of our way to call it *Northern VA* - it may as well be another state. I'm almost insulted when people like Cox Cable call me a Southerner in their commercials. If you've never been to SC, GA, NC, etc then it is easy to mistake just being "South of the Mason Dixon Line" for being in the South. Sweet tea is nasty :)

100% Northern Virginian! - driving is always the way to go and the way my boyfriend pronounces McLean makes me crazy. I'm still waiting for Northern VA to be its own state. I remember Memco and I do miss Chesapeake Bay Seafood House. I also miss High's Slush Puppies. There are a few High's around here but they are scarce.

The Bombay Cafe is decent, but the buffet in Centreville behind the Ruby Tuesdays is far better in spice and flavor. Much better selection than the Bombay Cafe. It's a few stores down from the Wow Meat! place. I can't think of the name as we just call it the "Indian Buffet" when discussing it.

Wegmans is cheap if you stay out of that first isle of goodness with the bakery and seafood. All of the specialty wonderfoods are in that isle and I can't ever leave the place without spending at least $80 on crap I don't need. If you go just for the groceries, it's pretty cheap.
