I've had both in Burke. I switched to Verizon from AT&T because of shoddy coverage and was very happy with the service itself. Very few drops and coverage in most places. I also go on a lot of road trips, and Verizon definitely held up. Unfortunately, AT&T had me with the iPhone and I ended up switching back. Spotty coverage and frequent drops are back in my life :( I actually had a dece

Oh and in reference for your request for just a hair place, Salon Antoine expanded about 2 yrs ago to offer some spa services, but the cutters just cut and do well at it. I really can't say enough about how good my cuts were. The other place I've had OK luck with is Bubbles at Fairfax Corner. My mother loves "Jenny" and I've had her cut my hair a few times. She does a decent job and I've been a

The best haircuts I've had are from Salon Antoine in Fairfax City just behind the Boarders. Amal and Chris(?) were the two who really did a great job. Amal always seemed to take the vague descriptions I had for what I wanted and mixed in her advise to come up with a good haircut. My hair is very thin and fine, so for me to have something come out nicely is a miracle. They also do good color and I

That' s the problem I have, The full figure bras are all 40 or 42, but the 36-38 bras only go to D. Bastards :)

Agreed Genevieve (this is Susan, btw) - I hate VS bras that fall apart quickly and offer little support. I'll check out Trousseau's and probably give The Full Cup a whirl. Thanks for all the tips!

Uh Huh I know I'm going to get the flames but I was hoping for some good advice tucked in all the requests for at-home fittings and pics. If I couldn't take it I wouldn't be posting on FU :) Oh and no daddy issues...

Ladies - any place around here that does a good old fashioned bra fitting? Dell's Bra Boutique in Fairfax closed and I'm not sure where else around here does a professional fitting. I'm looking for the kind of place where little old ladies that have been sizing up breasts for 40 years come out and measure and make you lean over and chastise you for having grooves in your shoulders.

I actually use one - at work. Hospitals all around the area still use them. We page doctors, use them for bed assignments.... I guess the docs prefer pagers because they can call back when they are not with a patient. I never thought I'd see a pager again after 1997.

Big Bite delivers up until about midnite. Their pizza is pretty good - BBQ Chicken being a personal favorite. If you like ordering late, Tara Thai delivers until 11pm many nights, and Tuscany Grapes also has good Medditeranean food. Working night shift teaches you where to order from when you're ready for lunch at 11pm :)

I used to work at Parcel Plus and they took orders for next day business cards. There are a bunch around and the printer that made them did good work - the raised ink stuff and myriad card stock to choose from.

In VA most notaries are only witnessing a signature - not the document itself or the validity of the document. All I cared about when notarizing was that the person signing matched the ID and the name that went with the signature was the same. Places like Parcel Plus and Mail Boxes Etc/UPS store often do notaries. Occasionally Grocery stores or pharmacies do also.

Another tip for the safari park - get several buckets of feet (it's like 4 buckets for $10 or something reasonable). We would occasionally lose a bucket to an animal that got to grabby. You hold out the buckets and they eat out of the bucket mainly - the highland sheep and camels just took the whole bucket right out of my hand. If we didn't have backup then it would not have been as fun the rest

There used to be the Pet-a-pet farm out that way, but the Reston Zoo is awesome :) They are friendly, reasonable, and you can get some good pets of goats, sheep, emus, llamas and pigs. They have a little safari ride and we've even had the camels come up to the fence for a pet and a snack. The ride has zebra, big horn cattle, camels, some sort of deer, bison, etc. They have kangaroo and snakes and

I used to be a notary in VA and if I remember correctly the max charge was $2 per notarized document - so if you had 5 pages each requiring a seal and a signature to be witnessed, then the charge would easily be $10.

Also thebestthings.com located out of Herndon at Herndon Pkwy and Elden St carries woodworking supplies. No wood, but the tools to work it. They try and come in cheaper than other online places and if you're not happy with the price talk to the owner Lee. More specifically: http://thebestthings.com/newtools/newtools.htm. Woodcraft is nice, and you have to love Fischers Hardware. They have every

When I created my account Washington DC was the default location and there wasn't a Fairfax County network option. It has nothing to do with not thinking Fairfax is trendy enough.

Why the hostility and fake posting over Frank Lloyd Wright? Odd.

The Frank Lloyd Wright is the Pope Leheigy house that used to sit on Locust St in Falls Church before Rt 66 was built. It sat right where the Arlington sign hangs on the barricade wall before the the Westmoreland St exit. It's now sitting on the grounds of Woodlawn Plantation. Really neat place....

There are often cars turning west on to Burke Centre Parkway from Roberts that get rear-ended. There is a yield with no merge lane so people stop - as they should. The cars on Roberts just whip around that corner not expecting to see someone stopped and smash into people often. A stop sign there for the people making the right would probably help out a bit. The other intersection that competes
