I live in the neighborhood and heard the sirens and wondered what was going on. When I looked out the front door I saw the flames towering above the row of townhouses across the street from me. It was the row behind them that was on fire. I drove by the house this morning on my way to work. There's not a whole lot left.

I believe it is a civil matter. Unfortunately I have to get the details through my mother because my sisters sig other doesn't want anyone to know whats going, so I'm sure she won't talk to me about it. Most of the info I was given might not even be correct. Basically, the deal is my "brother in law" we'll call him in a contractor, works on houses etc. This woman claims he screwed up her hous

First off, this isn't for me, this is for my sisters sig. other. He is currently getting screwed over by someone who has already brought him to several court cases which have each been thrown out in several different counties. Then they filed their case through Faquier County. Supposedly the judge in the case is actually related to the people that charged him. I don't know all of the details

Well the thing is that it wasn't really my decision. Actually we went on a cruise to alaska in May, then two weeks after she wanted to move out. Now mind you she has been talking to guys on the internet and thats basically why she left. Which to be honest is fine with me since this is the second time she's done this. She wasn't really ready to get married because she didn't know what to expec

Wow this is an old thread. But I decided to do a search before I posted a new thread. Anyways my wife has decided to give up on our marriage and has already moved out of the house. She has moved into an apt and the way I look at it, we're already over with no hope of fixing it. The seperation should be rather straight forward as the only thing left in both of our names is the house. We've al

I've had both of the changs and they both suck. I second Oriental Express for take out. They seem to taste better then most of the places around. Sino's Inn isn't too bad. Out in Chantilly/Westfields area, there is a place that is great. I always forget the name but it's in the shopping center with the safeway right down the street from the police station that was just shot up. They have pr

Not sure what to do with centipedes. As for ants though, you need to find out what kind of ant it is. If they're the really tiny little fuckers, they could be one of two types in this area. If you tried the trap/baits and they didn't work, try the gel. I had the tiny little fuckers in my house and they turned out to be the type that are really difficult to get rid of. The good thing is they

ah..yeah. Didn't think about that. I'm a dog owner but I actually do clean up after the dog. I would imagine that strip isn't always very flat either. Either way though, I must agree with Gravis. A good pair of shoes will benefit more then the difference between concrete and asphalt. Also I would think that asphalt would only be softer during the hot summer weather when heat softens it up.

asphalt maybe softer..but usually there is a stretch of grass somewhere near that sidewalk and the road. If you were seriously that anal about the softness of the ground you are jogging on, you would be better off on the grass. The benefit between asphalt and concrete though...I highly doubt is THAT much different.

The folks at Pender are great! I had to bring my Aussie Bearded Dragon to them because one day he looked horrible. They checked him out and said he actually had too much calcium in his system..which surprised me. But he's doing great now.

I guess the only other possible translation could be Road Head Meg...but it's not as obvious as Red Head Meg. Other than that...I can't think of anything that could be obvious.

Heh, speaking of people direct connecting and saying whatever at the worst possible moment. One night one of my friends headed off to the bathroom and left his nextel speaker on. So we direct connected him while he was in the bathroom and made groaning and grunting noises. Needless to say he was a bit pissed when he got back.

Well if your driver improvement class was for previous infractions, they won't care that you took the class, they'll only care what you're previous infractions were for. My guess, a pretty hefty fine and possibly some suspension of your license. But it all depends on how the judges day is going.

It's a nifty idea but sadly it won't work. The gas that goes to other gas stations that aren't Exxon or Mobil, can actually come from Exxon or Mobil. Actually a lot of the times the gas companies will sell their product to a competing company, etc. Check out snopes for the details http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/gasout.asp

Being that 85 in a 55 is reckless, you'll have to go to court. And I HIGHLY recommend getting a lawyer. Most likely your lawyer and the cop will strike a deal and it will most likely go the cops way as the lawyer will have your money by then anyways. I'm guessing you'll get a pretty hefty fine and since you have no priors, MAYBE no jail time. Ask your lawyer if he's going to try to strike a d

What browser are you using and what ad blocker are you using. I usually use Maxthon (new MyIE2) for sites I trust and it's got a built in ad blocker. I just right clicked on the ad, told it to add the ad to ad hunter and stuck an asterisk after the HTTP://stocker.bonnint.net/. Blocked the ads just fine.

Funny thing is...I got an assessment late december because I was refinancing and the company that did it assessed my house at least 20 or $30,000 less then what the county financed it at.

The way I look at it is like this. Yes the kids were stupid for running out on the bill. They never should have done it. But what I ask you is this. If YOU were a police officer and you were just told that some kids just skipped out on the bill, would you put your life in danger by stepping directly in front of a moving vehicle hoping that the kids in the car will see you at night under the l

I only have one addition to that plan. It needs to be televised 24/7 on it's own channel...or maybe even streaming webcams.

Heard about this on the morning news. Needless to say I wasn't entirely surprised that the cop didn't use good judgement and instead of firing at the tires and jumping out of the way, he chooses to shoot at the people inside the vehicle. idiot.

I've got mixed feelings about tuners (ricers) and street racing. I'll start off with the street racing. I agree with a lot of the things that Turbo Mirage said about street racing. As long as it's done safely where there's no chance for a child to go running out in the street or some uninvolved person driving home from a long bad day at work winds up in an accident because of people racing. I

DAYUM is the way the non-educated say and spell the word damn. It's kind of like the biatch thing, only gayer. Also similar to BOO YA...which I would have to say is the most gay as it has no meaning at all.

Cops use all sorts of places on 66 in the vicinity between Monument Drive FFX Co Parkway and the Stringfellow HOV exit. At Monument during non-HOV hours they'll either sit at the bottom of the HOV ramp or sometimes they'll sit at the very top of the HOV ramp mainly waiting to get people going eastbound on 66. It's impossible to see them when they're up there if you're heading eastbound until it

HAH! nice. Never been to the dog park in reston. I've only been to the ones in Springfield and Vienna. I don't think we're ever going to the one in springfield again. Each time we've been there have been quite a lot of dogs. Our dog is a Chocolate Lab puppy so he's still a little iffy when there's a lot of dogs. Anyways, there's ALWAYS some owner there with a dog (or more) that is very agg

This doesn't entirely suprise me. Most Metro bus drivers are friggen idiots behind the wheel. I know part of it is because the rest of the people on the road not letting them in when they're trying to get back on the road. Pretty much the same with school bus drivers. I always let the metro bus drivers in when I'm on 66. They're only trying to get in the HOV lane.
