i found out what caused the accident. boo(ze) was trying to a swing around and pick up the free cat to take to the FC animal control and be a good citizen

he ended up wiping out on some black ice.

Some people are like slinkies...good for absolutely nothing, but still brings a smile to your face when pushed down a flight fo stairs.

It would be different if the person whom everyone is trying to have sainted wasnt dealing and using himself. It amazaes me that even the papers (herndon observer) would try to make a saint out of someone who dealt drugs, evaded police on a chase, ren from police when pulled over, had domestic abuse charges....but we should make sure he is martyred because he killed HIMSELF while on DRUGS AND ALCOHOL. Serioulsy...REALLY?????

This is embarrassing to admit, but I went to Neds last night. I haven't been in about 2 yrs, WOW how that place has changed. It was pretty thugged out and all of boo's homies were there. The good part is that when we all left, there were a milllllion cabs out front so we took one back to reston, it was a whopping $20 for 4 people. I didnt get to see boo's hole thought (in the fence) hahahaha

If only that saint of a guy, Boo, had taken a cab.

The world would still have hope and we might someday find world peace through Boo's smile and his willingness to help anyone he wasn't beating to a pulp for being white.

Plus, it's been harder to score some meth or crack in Herndon since Boo's death.

What's up with all the "thug" comments about Ned's?

Now I'm not defending the place- it's lame- but I've never noticed anything "thug" about it. I have friends in that neighborhood, and sometimes they'll convince me to come out there on a Friday night. The crowds are usually pretty ho-hum, non-descript suburban folks, and they have the most embarrassingly awful music acts on stage- (lol, i sorta hate going in there because of that shit, the place is weak)- but it sorta makes laugh that people consider it a "thug" hang out. Is there some night of the week when these thugs take the place over?

Of course, when people say "thug" they are not talking about East L.A. thug. They are talking about "yo yo yo I'm from Sterlin' yo" thug. People who act all hard because they grew up on the mean streets of NoVa, and will beat yo ass if you be steppin' cuz they all hardcore n sheit.

Just look for anyone over the age of 15 wearing a baseball cap backwards. Then you know they are a NoVaThug.

FWIW, I was referring to the Ned's in the Clocktower plaza. Maybe the Sterling one is different

Oh, and I understand what people you are describing, I iust think it's funny to call them "thugs". Because we usually just call them "douchebags".

And as someone who didn't grow up around here, I always find the notion of "the mean streets of NoVA" pretty bewildering and comical.

Oh the streets of NoVa can be mean all right. Just wait until you get hit with discharge from a roaring lawnmower or splashed by a lawn sprinkling system that suddenly comes on and you'll know what I mean!

Seriously, the streets of NoVa are hard, and they teach you to kill or be killed. Ok, not really.

The main difference between douchebags and thugs: A douchebag will talk a lot of shit. "Oh man, that guy stepped on my shoe. I ought to whip his ass." But they only talk to their douchebag friends. While a NoVa thug will get in your face... "Yo, man, you be steppin on mah shoe. Best rekkinize, foo!" But only when he has enough "thug" friends to way outnumber you. You never see NoVa thug alone threatening to beat your ass. They travel in packs, and think they are hard.

A douchebag is just a thug with no friends. Or a thug is a douchebag with lots of friends who all want to impress each other.

This is why I left Northern Virginia. I couldn't stand all the people who claim they are from DC, and you ask what school they went to, and they go "Oh, uhhhh... Chantilly. But it's close to DC, and I'm still hard, yo! We had gangs and shit! Fo real! I'm street!" No, you aren't. You drive your mom's old Neon, and you live next to the Dulles Town Center. You aren't hard. You aren't street. And getting together with your Tyson's Corner friends and loitering doesn't make you a thug. When the hardest part of your day is the traffic on route 7, but you want to act like you grew up in the hood, you are a loser.

On the other hand, if you grew up in Pimmett Hills, and your neighbor made a living cooking up meth in his basement... Well, that's a little hard. But whatever. You ain't no thug, son.

Funny....

you really left DC because of the reason you stated? Sounds a little extreme imo. Also, anyone that gives that topic so much thought is kinda a douche bag.

Actually, I left DC because the cost of living was too high, the income wasn't high enough, the crime was out of line, and the congestion and quality of life sucked ass. Now I make more money, live in a nice house, and have a good life.

But I thought it would be funny to say that I left because of all the NoVa thugs. And apparently, it WAS funny to say it.

You think people who think about things are douchebags? "You put so much thought into that, it makes you a douchebag..." I think that line of thought makes YOU a douchebag. You douchebag. How about the way you choose not to think about anything, but instead just call people names? Or maybe I offended you when I said that douchebags are basically big pussies. And that hurt you because it's true, and you wish you were a thug, but you're just a gigantic homo. Awwww, poor little NoVa wanna-be thug pussy.

Meeper clocktower Ned's is WAY different (crowd wise) then super Ned's. I wouldn't be afraid to go into Herndon Ned's alone, LOL. Well, on second thought, I wouldn't be afraid to go into super Ned's either- considering all of the "thugs" are around 21-25ish. VERY funny crowd there....white trash from all parts of Manassas obviously make the trek down 28 to listen to "DJ SPAZ" on the wheels of steel. LMAO!

And they pretty much "lived and let live" within the confines of that community, unless you were there to cause trouble. Us nerds and douchebags did not fear for our lives when entering Pimmit Hills.

The McMansions are looking pretty ridiculous over there, though...

while on duty, they have priorities

1) donuts
2) tickets
3) sleep
4) actually do their job

they probably were running low on donuts.

the family should ask for information about his calling records from the phone company. it doesnt make sense as to why the cops to release his person affects, it was an accident. i think he died on impact because if he was going to call someone, wouldnt he have called for an ambulance?

Of course it was dark out, it was night time. Also, the power went off in this neighborhood shortly after midnight. Dick Clark had hardly finished smooching on some blonde woman when out went the power. As our family drove home from a house about 2 blocks from the accident we thankfully did not have to drive on Dranesville Road where this person who died was driving or he could have killed us. The power was off on our drive all through Hiddenbrook and Kingston Chase and the light at Crestview and Builders was out. It was not until we passed the 7-11 on Crestview heading into Herndon that houses and street lights and traffic lights once again were lit up.

An ant eater is a Huge step up from what I thought of you!
But you never know!
Since when did people loose humanity!
I didn't like or respect Boo after his behavior towards woman!
That does not give me the right to say hurtfull, raciest things to his family and friends.
Yes I am white, have a CRIME FREE happy life and am very comfortable financially.

When I found out about Boo through an old friend, my first thought was, "man he was a horrible kid who just beat on woman and picked on people"

Then I hoped he had turned his life around.

My sister is a piece of flaming CRAP!!!
If she was to die today, I would be heart broken if people said terrible things like that about her! That is life! That is how it is!
Even though I know how bad she is!
Every family has the one troubled one in there family!!!

Why judge him or his loved ones?
Just let them move on and try to get peace.
The only one Boo should have to answer to now is God.
Be the better person and stop disrespecting him to his family and friends,
PLEASE!

D'awww....

Anyway, what you need to understand is that people who are thrust into the public eye will be judged by what the public sees. There's a lot of people who think Osama Bin Laden is a pretty swell guy. If he died tomorrow, we would talk about it on this forum. If his family got on to defend him and say what a great guy he was and that we should stop being judgmental, guess what would happen?

I always feel bad for a family that has to grieve when someone they love does something stupid and isn't around anymore. Believe it or not. I don't care either way.

However, you and and his friends and family see him as Joseph "Boo" Taylor. I see a guy that liked to get into fights, do drugs, drive intoxicated, resist arrest, and worst of all, beat women. A man who hits a woman that isn't pointing a weapon at him is barely above a rapist or child molester as far as I'm concerned.

Please don't defend the man that beat you and his other women. It reflects poorly on your gender.

I agree with the fact that Boo was a troubled person! He caused ALOT of pain for Alot of people!
I by no way am defending HIM or his past!
Please don't misunderstand me...

I just think it cruel to say the racial and disrespectful comments!!

Oh, and please don't make the mistake of thinking I would EVER date him!!!!
I have to much self respect to hook-up with someone that lacked respect for my gender!!

I made the mistake of trying to do a friend a favor by driving him and
Boo to a party! After my good deed was completed, Boo insisted that
I attend the party with him! No way would I mix myself into that
kind of trouble even at 17 years old!

He then pulled me out of my car, ripped my shirt, hit me in the
face and tried to pull me accross the parking lot!

I grabbed his beer bottle out of his had and fought back!!!

I then ran into him later at the 7-11 parking lot,
and ended up comming out with the upper hand!

I had known Boo for a very long time, but I was a pretty good
kid and made other choices for my life!

I just hope he made his peace with God and did make
a change in his life for the better.

I don't feel it appropriate to say horrible things
about someone dead or alive to their family and loved ones.

How does that make you any better than a common theif?
No remorse of pain you may cause others makes you heartless.
I was not Boo's friend!

I am just human enough not to be cruel!

You are right here saying some pretty horrible things about this guy. Hopefully his family and loved ones are not reading this.

I am not bashing him, I am stating a fact of the past!!
Long time past!!!
We were 17 as I stated, and he was very bad news back then!
No one should dispute his poor choices back then.

The point was that he was trying to turn his life around!
Everyone defending the fact he was working to be better.
I hope for him and his family, that is true!
If it is not, he has a higher power to answer to.
That would truly be sad!

There you go:

http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/news-releases/2009/021009updateinvestigationconcluded.htm
Quote

UPDATE

The police department investigation of the crash that resulted in the death of Joseph Taylor has concluded. The following information is a result of that investigation.

# There was an approximate one hour delay in initial reporting of the crash
# The crash most likely occurred shortly after midnight
# Speed and alcohol were factors in the crash
# Mr. Taylor was not wearing a seatbelt
# The cause of death was a broken neck, according to the medical examiner

So he was likely speeding, drunk, not wearing a seatbelt, and suffered near instant fatal injuries, not to mention it took over an hour for someone to call 911.

So how is the FCPD in the wrong again? Wait, I mean FUCK DA POLICE

I don't believe any sensible person in this thread blamed the police for the accident... pretty sure the problem was with the search after, the one where they missed finding the crashed car despite it being right in front of them.

Read on wtopnews.com today that he was going 80mph and alcohol was involved. They also said the cops did 'due diligence scouring the scene'. Read at:

ok... i think it's clear that he didnt even have a chance even if the cops found him when they got there.

Quote
from the link
[...]

"Based on the totality of the circumstances, the officers did everything that was reasonable and prudent and, unfortunately, did not find the car at that time," says Fairfax County Police spokesman Officer Don Gotthardt.

"Part of that has to do with the terrain, part of it also has to do with the dynamics of the crash and the fact the car went airborne after hitting the curb, prior to hitting the house, so it left no discernable tire tracks or anything like that."

The next morning the 1997 Mazda was found 127 feet from where it struck the curb. It was in the backyard of a home in the 1300 block of Rock Chapel Road.

Taylor, who had been drinking and was not wearing a seat belt, broke his neck and died.

"The minimum speed when the accident occurred was approximately 80 miles an hour," Gotthardt says.

Wow- alot of racist people in this thread, and disrespectful to a tragic death. No family member should have to read this crap posted here. I feel for them. I am sure most of it are the same lowlife's using different names.

I remeber Boo he made mistakes some more than others but no one is perfect. At least he was trying to turn his life around. It seems like all the negative people on this thread are still trapped and not making progress in their life. How can one's life suck so bad that they pick on the dead?

To all those who posted the hateful comments... May others laugh at your loved one's death. What goes around come around. Maybe it will take that for you to see how wrong you are...

Didn't you do the same thing- maybe a slow day in you office...lol Divne justice?? Most people think up their own form of justice and attribute it to God. Hate to tell you but God loved Boo know matter where he went. He has more compassion than you. And he doesn't always off people because they made mistakes. If so half of the people on this thread would be dead including you. Not sure what God you believe in.

That would be "led", not "lead".

How far removed are you, from the actual facts of the case, that you would be "lead [sic] to believe" something that you admit could be based on "conjecture" that this driver was alive even seconds after the crash? If you really want to contribute here, state the facts that support your apparent musings or beliefs, or just refrain from posting inflammatory innuendo.
