Ray's Hell Burger is yummy; been there 3 times. I hope that the Obamedia will not cause it to be overrun. I work nearby and it's a good lunch spot but doesn't need more customers to slow it down. Ben's Chili Bowl is really really slow long lines of very drunk kids waiting for really greasy nasty half-smokes. Been there about 3 times, too. Average wait time for your take-out hot dog is 45 unpl

The last time I visited a Sonic was a few months ago in Newport News (Oyster Point). I ordered a couple of chili dogs, and had eaten a few bites, when I noticed that the bread was just covered in green mold. So I still retch when I hear the word "Sonic".

I move over if I can, unless the person is being dangerous. I'm in the left lane ahead of the pack or running with the speeders there a lot, myself. I absolutely never weave, and I always try to maintain lots of stopping space. I never tailgate or ask (eg. flash) people to get out of my way. I rarely feel frustrated with anyone going a little slower in the left lane -- most people are reasonab

I used to go to Storybook Land in its heyday when I was little. It was in Woodbridge on Route 1, approximately here if I remember right: Lat: 38°37'37.81"N Lon: 77°16'38.13"W and there are just woods there. (Put 14934 Jefferson Davis Hwy into Google Earth to see.) I think it closed down in the late 70s. Here's someone's page about it: http://www.billreeves.us/archived-features/storybook-lan

The main thing I know about Culmore (which is where my childhood church is, and I now live down the road in Skyline) is that the 7-11 there always has a huge number of illegal immigrants hanging out. Our of morbid curiosity I tried to count them when driving by the other day, but I lost count around 30 people. Also, there seems to almost always be a cop car patrolling them.

When people say that a police department "has jurisdiction", I think they might be referring to two different things. I am not sure how it works in Virginia, but in other states, the state police have authority anywhere in the state, not just on state-run roads. Their authority is superior to the county or local police - the state police can take over any case. If a county police officer has

It's not any practice well-known to the Fairfax County police. Maybe it just fell off a truck and landed there, or it was on the road and someone moved it from the gutter to your lawn.

Seems like all the cars I rent are registered in MD; no idea why. Don't know how large the rental fleet is, but can imagine that it could make an impact with selective attention. I have noticed lately that there are a god damned lot of MD plates around here, and most of them seem to be VA residents.
