RydellRoad,

Wow, I stand corrected, I'll have to watch that film tonight to see, guess my source was wrong. I wasn't going to mention the "bounce pass" in my thread when talking about Westfield's failure over the past 2 postseasons. Didn't want to upset my new friend hsfballfan:)

Unfortunately there will always be bad calls, too bad we didn't get to use instant replay. I have actually seen some coaching staffs this past season using Ipads on the sidelines. They use them as the pro's use still photos for sets and formations. Whatever happened to the good old dry erase boards?

the way I look at any miscues in the 2011 NR finals that perhaps went CVille's way was the football gods making up for the blown call on Manny Smith fumble in rain in regular season game against Westfield that year....look at that tape, his knee is clearly down before the fumble.....

Plus (and I will get a bit snarky now) Westfield needed its comeuppance esp against Centreville in 2011....

I'll stick with my earlier prediction. Robinson will take this one. Then we'll see how hungry they are when they play LB.

As hard as it is for me to give the Rams props - I just hate doing it- theres no way Westfield can hang with them this weekend. From what I'm hearing, they are on fire for this game.

Rams want a shot at LB again and they will run right over Westfield to get it.

Soco won 21-7. Defense did a great job of containing stromam only gave up one long bomb that went for a score. Offense did great, both qbs looked good, rbs were amazing, overall a great performance by soco.

Centreville wins by a bigger margin if there was good weather that night. Centrevilles passing game behind Walter is much more dynamic then Westfield. I really hope Westfield plays Centreville for the State Semi. Then we can put issues like this to bed.

Centreville kids were soft his last year tough kids come in cycles in general old school coaches and soft or semi soft kids dont mix dont get me wrong there are a few super soft kids atevery school occaisionally the mix of tough to soft leans towards soft and the coach has to scale back or move on Just an opinion I could be wrong tough old school canstill work but you have to win almost every year for kids and parents to endure it. Lose a couple season s and they want you out kis will tolerate a lot if they know you care and tough old school coaches have to ensure the kids know you really care

Let's please get back on topic. Is Langley good? I've seen SJ, but have no idea on Langley. Also, I believe everyone is sleeping on soco there strength on D is stopping the run, which is centrevilles bread and butter. Also, the offense is so explosive that there is no way to stop it unless penalties hold them back. Thoughts?

LB ran for more than 300 yards against South County. TC broke big running plays against them in both meetings. It will be interesting to see what happens when SC has the ball, but Centreville is going to score on them at will.

Serious,

I don't know if you've seen Centreville play this year but they can certainly throw if they need to. They just haven't had to because no one can stop their running game. In regard to Centreville's defense they are every bit as good as advertised. They have had absolutely no problem stopping anyone's offense. They are stout against the run and have Tutt and Turner as there main cover guys who are absolute blankets in coverage. The WR from Westfield has 4.35 speed, they actually played press coverage against him, their Adan's are that fast. Their pass rush is pretty impressive too, opposing QB's usually don't get much time in the pocket.

Please also believe this, I am not a fan, nothing would make me happier to see Centreville lose. Unfortunately I think the only team that has a chance is a beach school, most probably Oscar Smith.

Who has Centreville played that has a viable passing attack?
Herndon? Westfield? TC?

LB offense is very different then any Centreville has seen this year.

You can say whatever you want about the teams they have played, but overall I think the region as a whole is down. Chantilly game was never close.
They played Westfield early and have made changes since.

QB Henderson 1800 yards 23 Tds UNC Recruit

LB has 2 6'4 receivers Antonellis/Alexander who are very physical and both have very good speed. One is a a junior, the other is a senior. Both are being highly recruited as D1 players. 60 catches 12 Tds between them. Alexander maybe one of the top juniors in the country. will presents match up problems for everyone.

The other is 6'2 senior Sica who has 30 catches 9 TDs and has started since his frosh year. He is also being recruited at the 1AA level.Very good receiver

The other is a speedy sophomore churchill with 12 catches 2 Tds this season.

Between those 4 over 100 catches 23 Tds.

Between Obrien, Lee and Henderson over 2300 yard rushing and 38 Tds

LB has a balanced attack and can run and throw with anyone in this region.

SoCo and Yorktown as heavy underdogs have nothing to lose tomorrow. SoCo just might hang tough if its D makes better reads than vs. LB. In contrast, Yorktown pales vs. last year's 12-1 team that crushed SoCo in playoffs and was beating SB in the 2nd half of the NR final before losing big. Its passing game is now mediocre, making it tough for Stewart to run. W/O Stewart, the team struggled to beat Chantilly and Fairfax and reportedly got beat by WL in reg season for the first time in 30 years. So it seems like SoCo has a much better chance of keeping it close tomorrow than does Yorktown. Then again, mighty teams get felled every year in FB, e.g., GC this year. LB most likely will drop 50+ on Yorktown. Not sure what to make of SoCo-C'ville except to say that the way C'ville dominated and shutout Westfield and Chantilly is impressive.

That shouldn't be a problem for Cville. Their entire secondary runs 4.4/4.5 forty's (Turner, Nickens-Yzer, Tutt, Heiner) so they'll be able to keep up with LB's receivers. Again, Turner and Tutt will match up against anyone on the outside and if they try and go across the middle, look out for #4. I heard the coaches wanted him to change his number to 21 because he hits like Sean Taylor. lol

I wouldn't penalize Yorktown for that loss against W-L. It's an emotion-filled rivalry game between two well-coached teams, and W-L had a damn good season, surprising everyone by winning the district. Yorktown can play w/o Stewart, and with Stewart and Roebuck healthy, things could get interesting against LB.

Hey all, good to see some of the more serious commenters got online again last night. After seeing the drivel yesterday afternoon I sort of gave up for the day (smile). Catching up on a few points -

* The best kicker I have seen this year is from Lake Braddock, consistently put his kickoffs in the end zone.

* People assume that since CVille is a run team first that it plods along. What is difficult for other teams though is their overall team speed on O and D. That coupled with considerable stoutness on the lines and good scheming and you have a damn good team. Plus as Coach said they can pass too, both play action and just pure send out three WRs.

* SOCO will score a few touchdowns against them but will have difficulty holding Cville to less than 40 points. I am thinking something of the order of 41-17.

* Think Braddock will beat Yorktown but if Stewart plays might be closer than people think. I am going with 45-27.

* While I am at it, I think Langley will do enough to at least slow Stroman down and of course run like crazy themselves and beat SJ by about 7-10 points. I will go with 27-20.

* As previously stated will take Westfield by about 10 over Robinson. Will say 24-14.

What do others think?

Can't argue that the LB kicker is the best (haven't seen him), but would at least like to give props to the Cville kicker who is 63 out of 64 on extra points (bad snap) and 3 for 3 on field goals. It's not often he gets a chance to kick a field goal, so who knows how good he really is. Can't get much better than that on accuracy however. Cville rarely kicks deep, but he can put it at least to the end zone when he has to.

You can't sleep on the SOCO kicker. He has had the most difficult job doing a variety of kickoffs. Interesting to see what Pannoni has in store for him against Cville.

South County's defense does not impress. Centreville will score a lot of points.

Haven't seen either team play.

Robinson 21 - Westfield 17
Westfield did not look like they were really that into the Hayfield game - they'll have to step up their game a lot to keep this one close. Something tells me they won't.

Thanks for the thoughts on the scores of the games Rydell Road. And thanks for the analysis supporting your claims.

To the previous poster who simply claimed best offense (SOCO) against best defense (CVille). Well here is the rub, SOCO will play the team with the best defense and the best offense (perhaps only tied on the latter by Braddock). DO not be so enamored by the stats. Of course SOCO has a good offense but it is not the best. SOCO played lesser competition, had to keep the first stringers in a long time each game since the defense was giving up points, etc.

Centreville scored about 35-40 points a game each game by half time and then pulled the 1st string to play 2nd, 3rd, and JV players in the second half. If the first string would have played each game, full game we would be talking games of the order of 60-7 each time (and most were close to that anyway).

Centreville has the best rushing attack in the state and I kid you not have 6-7 players who can run for 100+ yards at anytime. Next they have added a great passing game this year both play action off of the run and straight passing to Tutt, Turner, Heiner, Liddell, others..

I hope for Cville's sake (to be finely tuned for later games) SOCO comes to play. However, SOCO will score much less than it usually does and will give up at least as much as you usually does on defense and most likely more.

From hsfballfan: Centreville has the best rushing attack in the state and I kid you not have 6-7 players who can run for 100+ yards at anytime.

I'm not so sure; in looking at Centreville's stats, Robinson held Centreville under 100 yards rushing:
AJ Turner 10-64
Scott Walter 9-31

Centreville basically killed Robinson on a TD punt return and big pass plays.

Defensive lineman Tyler Sevener is back after missing most of the first contest with an injury and linebacker Connor McNulty is expected to make his first start since injuring his leg in an Oct. 11 loss to Centreville.

South County is averaging nearly 47 points and 358 rushing yards per game, and will look to test a Centreville unit that is still without starting linebacker Tyler Love (shoulder).

I think what hsfballfan is trying to say is South County has to account for 6-7 players on Cville who are capable of running for 100 yards at any given time. So they cant single out any player. Its pick your poison if you will...

Take a look at this everyone. Same idea - Virginia Preps, site usually provides sound analysis, predicting a 44-20 win by CVille over SOCO on strength of offense and defense.

Analogy is the KC Denver NFL game this last week. Of course KC was 9-0 but that was built on close wins at the expense of teams like Buffalo, Cleveland, etc. Not exactly Seattle, Denver, NO, NE, etc. KC came in and played fine but Denver's better team exposed KC. I firmly believe based on stats but more important study of the film of both teams and the others in the tourney that CVille will win handily. Do not let stats from previous games get in your way.

And I will say again SOCO last to Chantilly at Chantilly 42-34 while CVille beat Chantilly 44-0 at Chantilly. Nuff said.....

Hey "CVille Student" - you been on these past two days? If you see this post what is the word with Tyler Love, LB at CVille? Are they trying to get him ready for State semis or finals if CVille gets there or are they just shutting him down with the shoulder injury?

Thanks for any insights, you have been so helpful already.

Love was cleared to start working out and practicing earlier this week. He won't be playing against South County; however barring no setbacks, he will be playing again this year.

Thanks--I have heard of the WL-Yorktown rivalry but did not see that game. I did see Yorktown-Chantilly and LB-SoCo and am just not sure what to make of tomorrow's games. Does anybody know if Stewart is playing? If he is then I will go see that game vs trying to cram myself into SoCo-C'Ville.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!! Thanks for that tip.

Really want to see the best LB corps in the state all intact again (Wiggins, Love, Nickens-Yzer, Behne, etc).....Cville

This is so huge because right now CVille is a great team but if they get Love back it becomes a great (great) team. Why you ask? Because Love is a fantastic anchor linebacker who can secure the middle of the defense allowing Wiggins who of course is also a great middle linebacker to freelance all over the field and spy on Henderson for instance in the likely state semifinals.

Oh baby!

I've heard that MJ Stewart is in fact playing.

Braddock beware, MJ Stewart is a game changer, great career at Ytown. Still think Braddock will win but with the unfortunate recent defensive injuries at Braddock Ytown will score plenty.

Here's the full video of W-L Yorktown game courtesy of Arlington Independent Media. It was an impressive defensive battle for both teams. The regular season finale between the two schools is always an intense atmosphere and alumni often fly in from out of town to attend, especially this year with the district title on the line.

Centreville ran more than the QB and Turner against Robinson. They had 160 yards on the ground that night. I don't have the individual breakdown, but you're missing yardage from Taylor Boose and Nickens-Yzer. I suspect Chad Wiggins had a few runs as well.

Thanks "Interesting." That is just the point. If players like AJ Turner or others were on some of the other teams they would have 2000 yards rushing because the other teams would go to them over and over. Football is a team sport folks, that is why CVille is so good this year. They have a very strong, athletic QB (two year starter) who can run and pass, they have 6-7 (or more) quality running backs (led by AJ Turner and Taylor Boose) who all would be starting on most other teams, they have great wide receivers Tutt, Chase Heiner, David Liddell, others, then they have a big OLine to protect everyone. On defense hands down the best LB corps in the state (look at Gameday Mag, Virginia Preps etc they all said it too, then they have Tutt, Turner and other speedy cover guys in the DB backfield. Then they have a 7-8 deep rotation on d line anchored by 280 lb nose tackle and then too athletic, rangy ends in Christian Brooks and Devante Wright.

Folks I keep saying it but stop thinking this is just another team.....it has been discussed on many boards as likely the best to come out of the northern region in upwards of 10 years.

You're such a fucking centreville homer it's ridiculous. Why don't we just hand them the damn trophy already because they're just sooooo good. How about you stop regurgitating the same shit 24/7 and let the kids plays. It's the playoffs. ANYTHING HAPPENS. Especially high school ball. Just my 2 cents, peace.

I think you meant Jordon Brooks. Christian Brooks is a sophomore along with Junior Sean Culleition that gets in on the rotation, but I believe Jordon and Devante are the starters. Either way, point taken, all studs and all juniors/sophomores

Thank you--I'm going to see LB-Yorktown then. I saw Stewart score like 4 times in last year's NR-D5 loss to SB. Both teams would have done well in ER-D5 last year. Yorktown's speed might have given Lake Taylor fits. This year I can't say because I only saw the Chantilly game--Yorktown won a squeaker but Stewart did not play.

Defensive lineman Tyler Sevener is back after missing most of the first contest with an injury and linebacker Connor McNulty is expected to make his first start since injuring his leg in an Oct. loss to Centreville."

Tyler Sevener has been back, McNulty just went through his first week of practice, may not start I've heard. Once again, the first game against Robinson Westfield had 5 starters out on D. If you count the sophomore who's been starting the past 4 weeks at MLB, #41 Clancy, it's six starters. I believe he was injured too, didn't dress, saw him on the sidelines. The kid is a tackling machine, definitely will help when facing Robinson's ground and pound. Without a doubt Sevener and McNulty were sorely missed the previous meeting. It will be interesting, I don't think Joe Wilson was 100% for that game, seems to be fine now thought. Should be a great game either way!

Wow, I just took looked at the first few drives--big crowd and a lot of good D. Thanks for sending. I didn't realize this rivalry was so intense. Will watch the rest later tonight. The were both D5s all those years right? Amazing that one team beat the other in reg season 30 straight times or something like that.

Am keeping an eye on the South to see if Smith can get back to the final. They've only given up 54 points, going 11-0 vs a tough sched. My brother and I saw them open by beating defending D5 champ Lake Taylor 42-2. LT's only other loss is a close one to unbeaten Bird, 21-14. Tomorrow Smith hosts Grassfield which it beat 42-0 earlier. However, Ocean Lakes hosts one-loss Western Branch that hung with Smith all day this year before losing. In the game I saw, Smith's D was impressive. I haven't seen C'Ville so it would be stupid for me to opine on its D relative to Smith's. However, shutting out Westfield and Chantilly caused a buzz in Chesapeake among fans watching the North, so did LB's 5 straight shutouts. We are still 3 games away from seeing who goes to UVA, but the two teams that get there will be stacked.

They were both D5 from the 80s on in the old Great Falls district and later the National District.

In prior decades, both schools had over 3,000 students. W-L used to be one of the dominant football programs in Northern Virginia from the 1930s-70s winning multiple district and state titles. In the 80s the school lost 2/3 of its population. Yorktown also shrank significantly in size, but with Hanson at the helm since the mid-80s Yorktown has dominated Arlington and D5 NoVa football. In 2010 W-L finally ended the losing streak against Yorktown in the playoffs (ending a 28 year curse), and this year in the regular season for the district title. Yorktown will always be strong with Hanson, and I believe W-L will stay competitive. Both schools are growing, so the talent pool can only get better. Wakefield, the other Arlington team, will stay D5 or 5A North and should be competitive in the new capitol conference.

Agree with Eastern Va Fan about the finals being stacked. Oscar Smith, Ocean Lakes, Western Branch, Centreville, Lake Braddock, perhaps Westfield all tough teams. We in the north also look from time to time to see what is going on down south and it is similarly impressive....

Let the last few weeks begin....!

Dominated weak ass Arlington? Maybe.

Dominated D5 NoVa football? Not a chance.

Example... Stone Bridge is 31-10 in the playoffs since 2000. Yorktown? 6 - 8.

SB also hung a 69 on the "dominant D5" Yorktown team last year.

Their conference and their schedule suck. Move them to Ashburn, and they would be the 4th best team. 5th if you count Tuscarora.

We all know that SB has dominated NR-D$, but your post ignores what upstart Yorktown has done in 2011-13 and how we now see cracks in the armor when LC teams play schools the same size or larger.
1) Yorktown, not SB, made the NR final the past 2 years.
2) Both team have similar playoff records in 2011-13: SB (6-2); Yorktown (5-2).
3) This year, both teams beat Fairfax by 5--just 1 week apart; Yorktown did it w/o Stewart and its QB.
4) Yorktown beat SoCo 48-28 in 2012 playoffs. How did SB do vs. SoCo the last time they played?
5) In the game you mention, Yorktown put 50 on SB and led 29-28 in the third. SB wasn't the same after that, struggling v. Hanover and losing to LT at UVA.
6) You mention Tuscarora's good team, but they struggled last week vs. Mt.Vernon, 35-27, a team Yorktown handles every year. This year, Yorktown was up 17-0 at half before taking out the limping Stewart and winning 31-21.
7) SB has been great but let's see how other LC schools do the next few years now that they play schools their own size. N. Stafford came to Ashburn this year and took down BW, 19-7.
8) Let's see the Tuscarora team you mention does tonight vs. N. Stafford.

Nobody in VA can top what SB has done the past decade in D5 except Phoebus. Yorktown is no C'Ville, Wesstfield or LB, but neither is any LC team this year. For example, SB lost to Westfield 30-6 and to LB as well.

I've seen every SB home game since the school was built. That Yorktown team you bash came to play. Good O and few tough but little players on D. We finally got rolling in the second half after Stewart and their QB got banged up and lack of depth showed. I think most of their players were seniors except for Stewart and am surprised to see they made it to the 2nd round of D6 this year. This year, we are better than people think. Westfield did beat us for the first time in 3 tries and we lost a close one to LB. Having seen both of those teams, I wouldn't rule out either team yet even though C'Ville's big win over Westfield makes me think they would beat any team in our county (including BW) and any D6 in the North, too.

Couldn't the exact same thing be said of SB? Yeah, I know they schedule at least one Concorde team every year but everyone I know in LC (even SB parents) say the school has resisted leaving the Liberty for a long time because they like being the big fish in a mud puddle not just in football but all sports. Yorktown to Ashburn? Sure, but let SB go first since they're already there.

Although Hanson is the superior coach when compared to the LB head coach, LB should coast in this game. York has not seen a team that compares to LB in both size and talent. York struggled in close victories with Hayfield, Mt. V and FC while losing to WL. It’s a numbers game, more kids in the school means better chance of having more skilled/talented players. Not a knock on York, just the reality of the mess that the VHSL created. No way teams with losing records should ever be in the playoffs, its a joke.

""Coach" is Clancys dad. Please stop praising your son on this site."

Jonaq,

Not sure how you drew that conclusion but I'm sorry to disappoint you that I'm not. Since this thread pertaining to the playoffs has been going on for the past few weeks and I haven't seen your name here I assume you're just throwing your two cents in, which is fine, it's a free country.

First off, had you been part of these discussions, mostly of the intelligent well spoken nature, you would know I'm an assistant coach for a local high school team. The team I'm affiliated with is a Concorde District team, it shouldn't be a surprise that I'm not interested in revealing what team since I like my job and would love to keep it.

Second, had you been a regular in these discussion over the last week or so such as hsfballfn, EasternVaFan, RydellRoad, Interesting, and a host of others you would know that I have doled out praise for many players, Westfield, Centreville, Herndon, Oakton, etc., mostly from the Concorde. I just happen to know a thing or two about the many quality players in the Concorde because I've watched all of the game films, that's part of my job.

So, you can see my praise has been for many, not just one player for one team so please do your research before you post it, as most on this particular sight have. It would add a bit of substance to your claim and not make yourself look foolish.

In the words of hsfball fan, "This is a football talk site sorry you are perturbed. I am more than interested to hear alternative opinions based on serious analysis, film study, match ups, etc. What is your opinion?" otherwise please join some other thread.

For the rest of you, sorry, this is just the kind of stuff that infuriates me, we've got an intelligent discussion going on then someone has to ruin it, please forgive my outburst.

I'm glad Ytown lost to W-L. It's good to see another program, especially an arch rival, challenge its dominance in the National District. Ytown won 28 consecutive regular season Natl District contests before losing to a very good W-L team. W-L even put up a good fight against Stonewall J, but their explosive quarterback Greg Stroman, who is a Va Tech commit was just a little too much to handle in the second half.

I think Yorktown/LB has the potential to be an interesting game, but it depends on how much of a role MJ Stewart will have. Both MJ and Roebuck the QB reinjured ankles late in the W-L game, but it looks like they will be in the game tonight.

Thank you to Coach and others for an insight into the teams that I don't pick up on as a casual fan. Good football is something to be appreciated, and to have made it this deep into November, there are no "bad" teams at this point, they've been knocked out. One thing is for certain, there are always a few surprises come game time, so let's have a good time seeing what actually happens tonight. I hope it stays well above freezing tonight like the forecasters are saying.

"#4 #3 #55 #41 #92 #94all did not agaisnt Robinson first time. Defense is almost fully healthy now"

Trygadawg,

You are correct, as noted in my previous posts Westfield was pretty banged up when they played Robinson the first time. The following week after that game the head coach for Lake Braddock, Poythress, even commented on how Westfield had won a tough one against a quality district foe with 5 starters out.

I love reading the panel of coaches input on their rankings, mostly spot on. Though it still always amazes me how the non Virginia high school coaches always rank the Maryland/D.C./private schools above the teams from Virginia, with of course the exception of Centreville and Lake Braddock. Especially considering in the past on the rare occasion you get a Virginia vs. Maryland/D.C. regular season matchup the Virginia schools seem to come out on top. I think the last time though was quite a few years ago, 2008 Robinson played Anacostia when Bendorff was still the head coach for the Rams. Both teams were perennial powers at the time, game wasn’t even close, Robinson dominated 61-14.

But that’s another topic for discussion, sorry I got off track, getting back to the injury thing with Robinson vs. Westfield game. Keep in mind I believe the first matchup was also Joe Wilson's first game back after suffering an injury in the season opener. He didn't have many carries and just didn't look like his old self. I watched the film from this past Friday when Robinson beat Patriot, Wilson certainly looks like he's back to full strength.

As one observer wrote, I believe RydellRoad, the Post had Wilson with 23 carries for 123 yards in the Patriot game. I watched the film, it was actually 23 carries for 109 yards, guess the post didn't take away yards on a few of his carries that the net result was a loss.

I think both teams will move the ball, both possess quality rushing attacks. Inevitably I think the teams that has success passing will come out on top, just my hunch. Of course, my opinion is based on the fact I assume both teams play well, have few if any turnovers and penalties. If that's not the case then the effectiveness of the passing game will bear no advantage.

Either way it should be a great game, these two teams are pretty identical in how they match up with one another. I wish I was going but it's just too hard to pass up watching SOCO vs. Centreville, that's my game of the week. I just am so curious as to how SOCO's offense will stack up against Centreville. I think it will be exciting, especially because Love isn't playing for Centreville due to his shoulder. This will prevent Wiggins from doing what he does best, blitzing, that may allow for some effectiveness from SOCO's offense.

Though deep down inside I still believe Centreville comes out on top, easy, their just so good. Haven't seen a team like this from the Northern Region in a long time. I just have a sneaking suspicion though that SOCO may prove to put the best offensive numbers up against the Wildcat defense, just not enough to win. Should be a pretty awesome game!

I think Langley is easily the worst team left in 6A north

Thanks for your insight Coach! Always good stuff. 6 more hours Baby!! I'll be firmly planted on the 50 yard line at the SCo-Cville game as well. Going to be a fun night.

Coach you da man, like you told me earlier one always takes a bit of grief on these sites - keep the good analysis flowing.

I agree you, EasternVaFan, RydellRoad, Interesting, I would also add Nat4Lee and others (and hopefully myself) are putting up some good posts. Of course I imagine posting will go crazy again on this board later tonite and into the morning after tonite's games. :)

To a few other posts:

Tyler Love is out tonite but will play in later games for CVille assuming they continue to win, cannot wait

I would not sleep on Langley as their option game is deadly. Think their defense will be enough to beat Stonewall in a high scoring affair but then not good enough to deal with later competition (e.g., CVille).

I keep looking at the weather sites and the chances of rain are going down, at most perhaps some light showers nothing like the week earlier in the season when we had the torrential downpours.

Everyone have fun tonite with the various games talk again real soon!

It's like that every year. VA schools just don't get much respect from the Post.

DeMatha definitely belongs near the top though. I was at their scrimmage with Westfield and they were very good.

Robinson V. Westfield is the 'Game of the Week' for both Gameday Magazine and WUSA9. Highlights of the game will be on WUSA 9 tonight. Go Rams!

"I think Langley is easily the worst team left in 6A north"

I would not sleep on Langley, very sound QB and RB, huge OL. I will admit I don't know too much about them, seen very little film. Stonewall has some talent, dealt with a bunch of injuries early on, team is relatively healthy. This should be a good game by all accounts which means it will probably be a blow out one way or the other. Seems like that's always they way it happens when the playoffs come around.

hsfballfan,

I couldn't agree with you more, sorry Nat4Lee, didn’t mean to leave you out. Though I must say, hsfballfan is definitely me favorite, even if he's a homer on Centreville:) Can't really blame him though since they're so darn good!

I am honored Coach - thx!!

I definitely agree I am a HUGE CVille homer. But for instance the fact that Westfield and Robinson is the game of the week is just comical to me. Of course it is probably the closest matchup of two age old rivals but as good as CVille is every game of theirs should get much more attention in the Post, on TV, etc. That is why I just want to keep spreading the word to fans from other schools that this is not your typical team as you have said eloquently Coach. Anyway, all good especially as they keep winning.

Now football is only five hours away.....

Who cares what game you attend? Just shut up for a while. This thread isn't all about you and your bullshit "analysis". Thanks.

Relax. Everyone knows CVille will get their game hype next week. Don't be greedy...
