Just getting to the bike rally is going to be a huge challenge. Mike has no idea how empty and desolate that area between Denver and Sturgis is. I'll bet he hasn't even looked at a map.
There are long stretches without any towns or even a gas station. Can Mike sit on that bike for 150-200 miles without a break? Probably not since he's already suggested that 45 minutes would be his limit. Forget indoor plumbing. Mike will be lucky if he finds a tree.

Did you guys hear the TMOS bonus show from Thursday and then DGS on Friday? The bonus show was where they give each other topics they know nothing about, and they have to talk about it for 30-60 seconds. On DGS the next day, he set up for the exact same thing. Wacky.

I didn't think he was "stealing" it at all. Just wacky how the same sort of bit was talked about on both shows in less than a 24 hour period. That happens from time to time since they have been doing their own thing. It shouldn't be surprising either that it happens, but I do think it's wacky.

Today's free show was pretty pointless as well. Remember when D&M were at their best on Monday's because of the weekend stories? Don still can spin a tale but Mike's too addle-brained to put a coherent thought together.

I tried to listen to the radio version of TMOS, but eventually even a diehard DnM fan has to call a spade a spade(or in this case,call a spade an unlistenable pile of shit)Try to keep up with the failcast, but there's that spade again...I have taken to listening to the original iTunes offerings of the DnM show...I have come to the conclusion that Don was right...Mike IS too lazy to head a show and Robb IS ratings kryptonite...Don was smart to keep his mike turned off for most of the show. When Robb isn't being outright racist, he's derailing what little momentum Mike and Buzz generate...I think back to the final days when Don told Mike to concentrate on the "guy with the curly hair"(Buzz) and keep Robb and his Nazi jokes off-mike in the background...What did Mike do with the sage advice? Alienate Buzz and put Robb front and center...Guess we know why Don is still on the radio and Mike couldn't keep an established franchise afloat...Seriously, Mike got the keys to a Caddy and drove it into a ditch...Don, on the other hand, had to wait out a no-compete...Which one has the better affiliates now

I have old downloads from when they were available on iTunes.Only a segment or so a day for the first year(06) up to full shows from 07-April of 08. I know you can get a episodes from paintyourbaldspot, but the audio quality there is poor at best...

Listening to some of the old D&M shows is both hilarious and depressing, because that show is long gone, and it ain't coming back.

Maybe the worst part of the failcast (toss up with the Fail-i-o Vault) is the opening segment. So damn terrible. So obvious that 0 preparation went into it. And sometimes it stretches on for 10 minutes. Even if I *wanted* to tell someone new to listen to this abortion of a podcast, there's no way they would get past the opening segment without punching me in the face.

what i really don't get is why mike puts up with robb's shit. i don't think anyone else on the show could say to mike the things robb sometimes does and get away with it. the number of actual FUNNY things that comes outta robb's mouth are getting fewer, but he lets EVERYTHING fly. he really needs to pick and choose, cause there's aLOT of times he'll say something, he'll laugh, but NO ONE else will. he's forcing his voice into everything, and he needs to hold back -- the majority of his shit just ain't funny!!!

I agree. I listened to BOAD on JFK pretty regularly, and occasionally listened to Don and Mike. When Mike made some appearances and calls into BOAD, it got me interested enough to listen to the MOMS when it started up. Immediately I remember asking myself why this "Rob" guy was getting so much air time. He is annoying and not funny.
Yet somehow he has tricked Mike into thinking he is talented enough to be the #2 mic on the show still.
I do wonder though. I remember when Mike was on The Edge, and he needed a guest host to fill in for Kirk. I actually listened that morning because Oscar was going to be on. Maybe it was BS, but on that show Mike said that Oscar was the first guy he thought of when he had a chance to bring one of "his" guys on to co-host. Why not Rob? You certainly don't think Rob would turn down a gig to do mornings on a real radio station, even for a couple days. So if Oscar is really Mike's "#1" for a second mic, then why does Rob get featured so much on the podcast? Is Mike too timid to send him packing?

Seriously. LFF should be kept as far away as possible from anyone requiring CPR (besides himself). He was too busy doing lame voices to listen to anything the instructor had to say, was out of breath, and broke the dummy. Those things are sturdy too.
I wonder if LFF will ever acknowledge that his ol' partner Kirk McEwan got a new gig in Tampa doing mornings on a CBS station. LFF must have passed on the offer, surely they must have been beating down his door. Mike sounded like he was going to die after he worked on that dummy. He could hardly breath.
When you're so far out of shape that it takes you thirty minutes to recover from a few seconds of minimal effort like that you need to get serious about exercising or get ready to die.

All I can say is it takes some balls to show up at Sturgis in a poser leather vest on a rented Harley.
Granted, I am sure the event has been sufficiently "yuppied" up due to greater awareness and the fact that most Harley owners are probably 60 year old guys who are retiring from their white collar job, but like to think they are some how "Harley guys", but they probably at least show up on their own bike.

The first segment of today's show was priceless.
Oh god... if only Robb could get away with busting Mike's balls like that every day.
He started out by making fun of Mike for being out of breath again. Mike didn't seem to be doing anything strenuous so merely talking into a microphone must have been the trigger this time.
Then Mike began a remarkable stream of incoherent, drunken statements. Robb stopped the recording several times to comment so gems like these wouldn't be missed:
"Greeting!" (no "s"?)
"We just drove over the top of a cave and a few underground lakes..."
"...the amazing thing is, once again, there is no horizon! I cannot stop seeing land! It is as far as the eye can see! And we are just having an amazing place."
"It's been a day of Jimmy."
Robb highlighted each one, giggling like a school girl.
Then we get to hear Mike trying to walk up a flight of stairs. It sounded like it was killing him.
Back to Robb laughing at Mike as he gasped for breath. Even Oscar chimed in: "Eleven steps!"
If Mike gets home without a DWI or a coronary it'll be a miracle.

I've been skeptical. Especially when he referred to it as a "power walk".
The smokes probably aren't helping either.
Or is this an "e-cigarette" I see in one of the Denver meet-and-greet photos?
