What exactly was the problem with Ann Curry? I never watched the show. I was actually working. Just interested in finding out why she was so loathed by LFF, krewe and the public, apparently.

I give her credit for coming about as close as you can to saying "these fuckers gave me the boot," without actually crossing that line. That's a real talent there. If she had been LFF, she would have just walked out during the last break, leaving Kirk...er, I mean...Matt holding the bag.

Mike on Anne Curry: "As much as I despise her as an anchorwoman... really and thinking she's probably my least favorite television personality of all time and I don't say that lightly."

First of all: Mike, you haven't done anything lightly since you were a three weeks old so thanks for that qualification. Second: Patricia Heaton tried to get you and Don fired! She tried to take away your paycheck, back when it meant something!

What the hell did Anne Curry every do to you to earn that dubious distinction?

Do you ever listen to the words you're saying?

This whole idea of a "show" trip to Maine makes me sick. Mike just wants the show to pay for his vacation, and hey, why not go to HIS house in Maine, and do a meet and greet too? The balls to come out and say it was for the show to go to the beach and how good the show would be for it when you are just trying to steal money from the sponsors is a joke. Mike, you're a joke, and not in a good way.

From what I recall, the Belcher latched on to the short-lived terrestrial version of TMOS right from the beginning, sending in multiple prank calls a week that Robb would use in the audio vault. At some point, Mike was dismissive of / said something negative about / indicated that he was tired of the Belcher's contributions. Buzz, the only member of the show that didn't seem sort of afraid of the Belcher, attempted to negotiate peace after the Belcher started posting angry / vaguely threatening stuff on various facebook walls, but due to Mike's continued indifference the relationship couldn't be saved. I seem to remember reading somewhere that after that the Belcher latched back on to Donnie G's show, and flamed out there in a similar fashion. I can't say for certain, because I can't stand Don's show and don't listen to it.

The Belcher called into Don's show soon after it started up again in Sacramento. He probably called in around half-a-dozen times before things went bad. During the Belcher's last call in Don's show, Don made a remark, right after concluding the call, that The Belcher was his "pet". The Belcher got pissed off about that, and if I remember correctly, he left some andry posts on Don's Facebook page and unfriended him. Don did explain on the air that he didnt mean anything bad about The Belcher, and that he liked having him call the show. He also said that The Belcher should call back in so they could talk about it, but no call was recieved. I never heard Don mention it again after that, so I don't think that he really cared too much that The Belcher was butt-hurt.

For those of you who don't listen regularly, they've actually managed to dredge up a couple of new sponsors, including a law firm. The ad copy for them specifically mentions malpractice happening even at military facilities. So stay at Fisher House courtesy of LFF, then sue their pants off for malpractice also courtesy of LFF. You'd think truth in advertising laws would make them change the name of the failcast to "The Fat Hypocrite's Hour".

If every sponsor he had contradicted or were in direct violation of each other, he would still take their money. It's funny when they talk about going out and purchasing things, they completely ignore their Amazon sponsorship, or talk about StubHub by name, when they have a ticket retail sponsor. Morons.

Like maybe being a spokesperson for a diet company and telling everyone how you cannot lose weight? Highlighting all the food you eat all the time? Talk about how you are so fat? Yeh, I guess that wouldbe a contradiction. Money well spent by Weight Not.

Wow... Mike's twisted ego is in full flower on today's show.

He cried after his nephew's rehearsal dinner because no one asked him to speak.

Really, Mike?

You're not a "professional" public speaker. You just think you are.

Listen to your own podcast some time and take note of the stammering and unfinished thoughts.

Starting every sentence with, "I'm here to say..." isn't polished rhetoric.

Why would your big sister ask you to speak when she knows you're going to be drunk and embarrass the family?

Poor, delusional fat boy...

So many peeks into the twisted mind of Mike O'Meara today. Barely seven minutes in he says this:

"I would tell you that I think I'm like a lot of show biz types... that uh, if you want to go to look at a movie, go to look at Jane Fonda in 'On Golden Pond', where she says, 'I am in CHARGE of Los Angeles, but I come up here and I'm the fat little girl'.

As odd as that sounds, especially the "show biz" part, it's even funnier when you realize that it's his introduction to the rehearsal dinner slight.

So Mike isn't just hurt that he wasn't asked to speak, he's pissed that his family doesn't acknowledge what a big shot he is in SHOW BUSINESS!

Here's an idea, Marc gets a psychologist as a sponsor and Mike, as part of the promtion, goes in for treatment. I am telling you, THAT would make an interesting show, having him talk about him treatment and all the fucked up things in his head he unlocked. His daddy issues, his problem with seeing other succeed, his addictions, his hypocrisy, the list goes on and on. It will never happen, but it would make for something worth listening to.......that and Chad Dukes coming out of the closet.

He's a mental case. He is never, ever at fault for anything....ANYTHING. Migraines, well, that's because he ate the wrong thing, but that's not his fault you know. Weight gain, not his fault, it's the diet. Blew his knee out, that was his boots. Got too drunk to come down stairs to do the show, was overserved. Too drunk to do an appearance at Oakton Wine Shop, overserved. Too drunk to do the appearance at the CPR training, overserved. Except when Mike says it.

If you have a history of blaming everyone else for your problems, you can't claim "sarcasm" when you use that expression.

In other words, if a normal, well-adjusted adult uses it -- it's funny.

When Mike says it, it's just the standard buck-passing.

Someone said above that Patricia Heaton tried to get D&M canned, what was that about (sorry, I never listened to the show to know the story).

If I remember right it was because they were doing a phone interview with her and it just went into a typical D&M interview which she did not enjoy. She ended up being a real prude about the whole thing. I do not think they did the old sex quiz with her.

For a comedic actress, Heaton strikes me as a humorless bitch.

It was a pretty long running battle where she wanted them fired. Being on a hit show on CBS apparently doesn't carry enough weight.

They were asking her the sex quiz questions and when she asked for clarification about "the no-no spot," she got angry when they played the fart noise.

I kinda thought wwhen donnie g. moved to the Big Sac and sold his OC place he was cutting all ties to his past with Freda, i guess not

or does his current wife have family in OC?
did she live in same great falls neighborhood as donnie g.? married before and lost her husband ?

i tried listening to the donnie g. show recently but apparently steve bryant wasn't there that day. I see donnie g. is using an announcer now. donnie g. sounds happy but the show is boring

Can anyone recommend any other podcasts besides Adam Carolla? I drive a lot during the week and there's just nothing to listen to on the radio.

I'm done with O'Meara. Probably done with Big O and Dukes too. They are both un-listenable now.

Try Riotcast.com, they have a shitload of different shows, my top 3 recommendations are "The Glory Hole," the original one that started the network, funny shit!

"Mad Scientist Party Hour" for the geek in everyone

and "Why You Suck in Bed," two women discussing every aspect of sex.

The Marc and Lowell show and Tech 411 are available for download.

If you're a Penn Gillette fan, "Penn's Sunday School" is a great alternative to LFF. Penn is part of Carolla's network.

Uhh Yeah Dude is a great weekly podcast that goes to show you that two dudes CAN get along and sit in the same room and talk about actual topics and be funny, not just blather on about dog poop or who got butt-hurt over their friends playing soccer without them.

You Look Nice Today only comes out sporadically, but old episodes are available and they're fucking hilarious.

Ten Minute Podcast is exactly what its name says it is so it's short for a commute but, again, a lot of old episodes are available -- I've actually had to pull over listening to that one because I was laughing so hard.

I personally didn't get into Sklarboro Country (I think that's the name) because it didn't hit my funny bone right, but a lot of people really like it so that's another option.

Oh! And of course, WTF with Marc Maron. Depending on the guest it can be FANTASTIC.

Another vote for Uhh Yeah Dude. Probably the #1 podcast on my iPod these days.

I like Sklarbro Country, but they kind of slant their show towards sports, so if you aren't into sports you probably won't like it much. They do have good comedians on as guests, but they always come back around to sports.

Others are kind of specific to their "brand" of comedy as well. I like Greg Proop's "Smartest Man in the World", but I like Greg Proops brand of comedy. Not for everyone. Same with Bill Burr's Monday Morning podcast.

"How Did This Get Made" is funny too. They talk about shitty movies and make fun of them. Even if you didn't see the movie it is pretty funny IMO.

Well, it was... but Mike killed it.

He's too paranoid and thin-skinned to put up with any criticism, even the mild rebukes he used to get on "This Week".

So I'm guessing many of you did not listen to friday edition of the failcast.

This episode started off with a disheartening anouncement that r.j. diaz had been undergoing radiation treatment for what sounded like a significant case of prostate cancer.
LFF does the oh so understanding bit and how glad he is that r.j. has completed the treatment. A bit like Ann Curry behavior if you ask me. Apparently, r.j. has a 3 month wait to see if the treatment was successful in eliminating the cancer.

But I got to thinking (doh) the cancer had been diagnosed some time before the show at the State theater in March. In fact, that night r.j. diaz had a catheter. I also remember LFF busting R.J. diaz's balls most of the night.

I also can remember a number of failcast episodes were LFF and Blob(b) bust the diaz balls over being so slow about doing things. Gee maybe radiation treatment does things like slow you down a tad.

And then I recalled the new sponsor that diaz had dug up and the personal appearance he had arranged and how the drunk lff didn't bother to show up.

so there you have lff spouting off how there all brother's and share and care for each other but actually it's still all about lousy human being LFF.

Wow. When I think off all the grief RJ is given all the time by Mike, perhaps a little compassion would have been nice. Rob especially should have some understanding since he says he "hates cancer" after his sons treatment.

Yeah, it's pretty much the perfect storm for the failcast. A 90-plus-year-old actor, most famous for a TV show in the 60s, dies. Rob(b) gets his semi-annual chub, and will play eight gajillion tapes that nobody can relate to. LFF will just lean back and rumble, perhaps dropping in a quick impersonation of the long-since-irrelevant actor. The hour will just fly by . . .

Uhh Yeah Dude is a really great podcast. Funny thing is I actually heard about it on the Mike O'Meara show when he was still on the radio. BA booked the two hosts from Uhh Yeah Dude and mentioned how good they were. Mike refused to have them on because podcasts were so far below him at that stage in his life. I love looking and seeing Uhh Yeah Dude way higher in the podcast rankings than LFF.

How in the hell do you know this? I find it highly unlikely that BA would have booked Seth and Jah, much less even known who they were. However, if this is true; how hilarious!

Mike referred to himself as a "good communicator" on today's Podcast.

A few minutes later he referred to an event as "literally gut-wrenching".

After that, he said, "...through a series of misfortunate uhhh misfortunes ummm... some stuff went down."

Jesus, Mike. How many times did you flunk English before they kicked your ass out of American University?

And you had the nerve to throw your degree in Buzz Burbanks face (figuratively, NOT literally)?

Buzz can form a sentence. I dare you to try it, just once.

This struck me as well. I'm not sure I've ever heard someone say "you know", uhhh.... and ummm.... so many times in one terrible paragraph.

"and through a series of misforunate uhh misfortunes umm some stuff went down where uhh I won't go into the details of it but it uh caused a lot of upset at his resturaunt and uhh it is literally a gut-wrenching story."

And right after that:

"cb lucas uhh just uhh you know and uhh and now listen uhh mike omeara you get, no."

The gist of the CB Lucas story is LFF is obviously too lazy to figure out why his condensation tray is not draining and had someone come out to clear a drain.

If Rob(b) had any balls, he would compile all of LFF's uhhs and umms for a week and play that in his Magic Audio Vault.

If he really tried harder, could you imagine how good the show would be if he did it once a week, to let some content build up?

It would still be shit, TV and Facebook, but not as much repetition, so... CRAP!

Took some digging but I found the entry on the Uhh Yeah Dude wiki.

Episode 128
53:01 – Jonathan and Seth declare they will be interviewed on the Mike O’Meara Show on WJFK in Washington DC on Monday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m. Seth wonders if he’ll be able to talk for 15 minutes and not drop an F-bomb

>BA was freaking useless; no way she would have booked a guest that up-to-date.

She was, but it was her that booked them. Not sure how she found them when reality tv contestants is all she brought to the table.

While I agree with you, let's not forget that Mike is a busy man, he is working on that third ear lobe fold.

Some of the responsibility is on everyone here too. Now I am not trying to be a nag but the image contributions have been severely lagging of late. All text and no pictures makes for unhappy thread. Could someone at least thrown in a Kara pic or something??? Is that too much to ask?!?
