I don't quite get the appeal of Buzz. He's not funny. He's a terrible newsman, given that he can't seem to find anything to read that isn't at least three days old. Buzz is AT LEAST 60, no? He and his wife have no kids. My guess is that Buzz can just slide gently into retirement with a little voice-over work here and there, and keep doing that forever. He's on the failcast basically just to help Mike out, just as any friend would help out a friend. He doesn't need the work; it's not like he's making any money from it.

Don't kid yourself. Buzz needs money, too. It's doubtful he has some golden nest egg out there. And being 60, it will be a few years before he gets Social Security. And it's unlikely that his voice work pulls in much more than poverty wages over the course of a year.

Let's be serious, though. WTOP is the Top Rated station in the Market. The new management isn't going to come in and stick a guy from one of the worst-rated stations in town on the air to tell jokes in a News/Talk format. I imagine what management will do is keep things the same for the time being and try to figure out how to squeeze more revenue out of this cash cow while reducing expenses.

Also I don't know if guy talk is dead. I don't think it's the moneymaker it once was, so hosts can't get the pay they used to, but if that weren't an issue I think it could do just as well as a bunch of sports talk all day.

Mike does a hilarious impression of Cerphe. You should hear it, it's hysterical, it sounds just like him. I think it'd be funny to hear him read the news like that.

Well, when JFK made the flip, I think guy talk kinda died in DC, in other markets like Tampa, WTKS does well with the format from AM drive time to night time, but some of the programs, like 'Monsters in the Morning', sound like extended infomercials for cheezy advertiser events or local second-rate sports franchises like arena football - the Junkies would do well in that market.

And Tampa/St. Pete is where O'Meara should be, if he had any sense. He could hire Rob(b) as a 'pool boy', and the Spewak annual household income would increase by 500%!

Don's syndication deal will be final soon and we can expect WJFK to run his show in afternoon drive. Goodbye to Dukes and Arrington at least in that time slot.

I have good news for you. DON at #95 (a great rating for him) is currently BEATING BIG O AND DUKES at #108 (a terrible rating for them). This is the first time I've seen DON beat BOAD.
And MIKE got a typical #55. He always beats BOAD, but is NOT beating DON 2 to 1. Good for Don.

I have my own theory about the conflict between MIKE and DUKES. MIKE once asked Carla who, of all his workmates she was most attracted to. And she said Chad. So although Mike is always complaining about Chad taking his job, the real tension may be jealousy.

I am not debating the fact that Mike is a narcissus, but I would like to hear from others about why they think he is one. What does he do to demonstrate this personality trait? First thing that comes to mind is that he won't let Oscar plug his other podcast and when they do talk about the podcast he isn't allowed to say the name of it. I am interested in what other people think about how he displays his narcissistic tendencies. Apologizes in advance if no one else is.

At first I kind of liked the podcast or at least I had hope that it might be an entertaining waste of an hour. Something to listen to while driving, but the show just keeps going downhill and it is very rarely funny. Oscar is really the only one that is funny and it is interesting when he tells stories about his family, growing up, or breaking his girlfriends shit because abuse is always funny. But Robb's audio vault is just crap. He plays clips from videos that need to be watched and that just hearing them on the radio makes for terrible radio. Also nothing he plays is all that new and has been going around the internet for days/weeks before he plays on the show. Also I cannot stand how they all unhinge their jaws and fake laugh at Mike's impersonations and his little opening vignette are truly uninspired and lack any creativity or humor.

I bought the RAW 2.0 shows and just haven't been able to bring myself to listen to them. I started to, but didn't get pass five minutes of listening to some dumb porn star. Porn stars are not interesting and I think were shocking and slightly entertaining in the 80's when Howard Stern first put them on. Mike and Robb think that they are so cool, hip, and clever to have her on, but they are anything but.

BOAD don't have a set schedule and only podcast once a week at most so that would explain their 108 ranking,,,,

If they podcasted regularly 5 days a week they would be 21st or 22nd

That would be funny if Kara was stupid enough to use an old BOAD email address to bash MOM with. However, anyone who is familiar with that e-mail address could have put it there, so I don't think you can claim anything definitive.

Pretty sure O&D never had any real interaction with that website and cause quite a fracas in the O&D world. Pretty sure that site was owned and operated by bussels and in order to get back in the O&D tee shirt game had to shut down the message board. I cant find a link to that post but would love to read it.

Thought i would read more about Mike being possibly the worst landlord ever. I cant believe how long that douche went on about his hardships, fully expecting people to understand while begging for money and berating people for being cheap.

I don't understand the connection to BOAD. I used the email address that I have been using for the past ten years. I wrote one guest post on BOAD blog when they were on WJFK, but that would be my only connection to them. I will admit that I do like BOAD- not sure if people like me are welcomed on this board, but my love of BOAD is tempered by a huge dislike of the MOM show. If that counts for anything.

Also I think that I have a tit shot somewhere around here, but MTV informs me that posting pictures like that can hurt me for a lifetime.

I listened to my my first failcast today(one of the 4+ million downloads that they are bragging about.) The truth is that I didn't find it too bad. I personally always thought Don and Mike sucked so I was actually pleasantly surprised. Mike's imprsonations were just a retarded as I remember them. I had to click past those. It was kind of funny listening to Mike bust Rob's ball for not doing anything to make the show "profitable".

It's kind of interesting listening to it after having read and added to this thread. This whole thing has to blow up soon. Rob and Buzz can't be happy continuing to kiss Mike's ass when Mike can't even provide them with a job in return.

I know I'm just pointing out the obvious but it seems Rob and Buzz are still clinging to a slim sliver of hope.

Kara's parents must be proud.

Why, though, do you now feel it is appropriate to attack one of the involved persons (Oscar) on a personal front like you have done? This appears to be wholly unrelated to the discussions thus far on this thread, and also appears to be something that was posted for its sheer sensational value.

How about removing the photo (even if it is pleasing to look at), in recognition that it really is not relevant to what is being discussed in this thread? As I implored, take it down or explain its relevance.

If you do not, you will lose one reader who thought that you were reputable and providing reliable information. Maybe not a big deal to you, but I do not see legions of people on your bandwagon continuing to follow you on this thread.

Followed all 95 pages of this thread, and have been a reader of the forum since the early days of the massive South Lakes redistricting thread, so ponder all you want. I have not seen any benefit to registering, but please enlighten me, by all means.

I wonder about the psychology behind gals like miss Kara parading themselves in front of tons of dudes and probably some dudettes and then expect to be treated like they don't parade themselves in front of folks exciting the glandular process

Listened in on tuesday morning to first break but Mr. Mike didn't have much specific to say about what happened at traffic court, at least not in the first break.

How is Psycho Kara not relevant to what is being discussed on this thread? She dates Oscar and models MOM T-Shirts. She made the choice to walk around with virtually no clothes on back in the day knowing full well people would be taking photos of her and posting them online.
