He's growing his hair to be cut and donated to cancer kids going through chemo. No joke.
His son is a cancer survivor.

If you mock him for this, you've lost all sense of humanity.

Gray, dyed or colored hair is not appropriate for donation. I kind of doubt your contention.

Possibly, or Robb is unaware of these stipulations as he grows out his mangy locks.

Not knowing what he is getting himself into before getting into it? Sounds more like Mike than Rob(b). Hmmm.

^^^Yeah, I agree. And I think that HoneyDipCrisp was on to something when he mentioned Histrionic Personality Disorder as the possible cause. I don't know how much you listen to the recent MOM and BOAD podcasts but Oscar was talking about this one incedent where he woke up in the middle of the night, heard Kara talking to somebody on the phone outside and shit went crazy.

Long stoty short; Oscar asks Kara who she was talking to. She won't show him her phone. He threatens to break her stuff, like a MacBook, iPhone, sunglasses if she won't show him phone. She still won't. He starts destroying her things. She still won't show him phone.

As it all turns out, she was on the phone with her friend that Oscar knew. There was nothing to even hide. the whole reason for not showing him the phone was to watch oscar flip out.

If you want to listen to this, it's actually pretty entertaining. I am a BOAD fan. Here is the link. Skip to 24:00 mark.

This brings me back to HoneyDipCrisp. I think you are spot on about HPD. I am in now way, shape or form qualified to diagnose anybody but I have a pretty good laymen's knowledge of personality disorders because I find them quite interesting.

They seem to be doing very well with each other now. I don't know, he's VERY concerned with looks and she is a great accessory. He makes a lot of money so he is great for her.

I hear your, bro;) Aside from Oscar going out of his way to point out how much $$$ he has; what makes you certain its true?

Spending at least 3 hours a day on the MOM podcast is not consistant with being mega rich.

Agreed. Having a lease on an expensive car does not indicate doing well financially. I mean, Mike complains about the bank trying to take his house, so goes and leases a Lexus.

Oscar does very well. And he comes from a LOT of money and has been willed a lot of money already through relatives.

As I said above, he's fairly loaded. He's not a millionaire, but he does very very well through his business and through money willed to him through his family.

He is perfect for her. And she makes a great accessory for him.

Exactly. Leasing a car is generally not a great decision, although it can be defensible if you're the kind of person who insists on having a new car every couple of years, and your finances are otherwise OK. But if you're ALREADY having financial issues, why would you want to lease a VERY expensive automobile?

I don't know if Oscar has money or not. If he is doing well financially with ManGrate, why waste his time on the MOM podcast, which he seems to hate participating in? I mean, he is getting his radio fix with the BOAD podcast, right? And it's not like he can't do more BOAD on his own with Drab or one of their buddies.

People's actions speak louder than words. As you say, appearance is important to Oscar. Seems to me like he wants to appear to be successful...even if he isn't.

I think he's with the MoM podcast to determine the viability of having a podcast as a revenue stream and because he loves radio. He doesn't want to burn one bridge doing something he honestly loves doing without having everything in a row setup on the other. I don't think he feels he is wasting his time at all on the MoM show. If he did, he would stop doing it in a second since, as you say, the show doesn't make any money anyway so why would he be there? If he needed money the show certainly isn't giving him any (according to you guys).

I'm not sure he can do more frequent podcasts with Chad/Drab etc. I don't think they all can meet since they are all committed to multiple things at the moment (Chad especially). Oscar dropping MoM abruptly would not fix all the scheduling problems.

Again, I'm not saying Oscar is a millionaire. I think he's far from it. But he has inherited a great a deal of money already and he has a fairly lucrative job.

Exactly. I think the reason he's still on the MOM podcast is because either:

a.) He's deluded himself into thinking that the show will eventually take off and become profitable.

b.) He feels personally invested in the show, since the podcast was his idea in the first place, and nobody likes to walk away from something they helped create and spend countless hours working towards.

c.) He's intimidated by Mike, who Oscar still idolizes as a "radio god". His fear and fanboy-ness makes him unable to see past the laundry list of failures Mike is stacking up, like so many IHOP flapjacks. Mike knows that Oscar worships him and he takes full advantage of that fact, going as far as constantly trying to poison his relationship with Chad and the Big O and Dukes show.

Yabels-

You have some valid points there. Also, Oscar may feel guilty for getting MOM into this shitfest and feels some sense of obligation to try to make it a success. I don't know the whole story about how The Edge gig fell apart initially, but the timing of it, and the sudden emergence of the podcast, makes me wonder if MOM turned down Citadel initially (for $100K or whatever) because Oscar sold him a bunch of BS about how lucrative a podcast could be. Then, eight months later Mike is second banana at a deep discount on The Edge while struggling not to lose his house. I could see how Oscar might feel obligated, if that's how the scenario played out (purely speculative, mind you).

You guys really make a lot of stuff up here. I mean it's sort of crazy. He does it because he enjoys doing it.

I mean you really don't have to say you're speculating because it's entirely obvious. Like the salary speculations made around here where the expectations are RADICALLY off.

Yes. Because Mike makes $500K a year on the Citadel gig, right? And you know these are radically off how?

That was off for what he is making with Stern now. But prior to the satellite deal, that's what he was making at CBS. I mean, Stuttering John left Stern for $500K.

Oscar loves drama. That has nothing to do with a thick/thin skin. He and her are made for each other, they love drama bombs.

After dating an actress I realize their whole sense of themselves is based on the attention they get. And it doesn't seem to matter how superficial. It's about quantity, not quality. I took ONE college course in psychology, so I'm hardly an expert. I just know discovering that specific personality disorder was like reading her biography. It suddenly all made sense. I talked to my Dr. about her and my Dr. said, "Sounds like a drama queen on steroids." Perfect. I don't know Kara, but I've been listening to Oscar tell stories about her for two years, and every story sounds familiar. But Oscar's sounds just as superficial... so maybe that helps.

Let's not get all touchy-feelie here. This is Mike O'Meara we are talking about, he will always do that which takes the least amount of effort.

Oscar, Robb and Buzz probably didn't have to push hard to convince the big guy to participate in the podcast - all he had to do was sit on a couch in his house, and just dole out the funny from his vast reserves.

The big miscalculation was that the podcast was going to generate many, many $$$$. O'Meara is culpable for not doing research on who was making money in the podcast business.

O'Meara has been in the business for decades. So he relies on Oscar Santana for career direction and he doesn't reach out to his established radio contacts for that advice?

That in itself is quite amazing.

True. Given the fact the damn thing kept going down in the beginning because they weren't paying their bandwidth bills. First indication that maybe they hadn't thought this whole business model through.

Why? So they could tell him something he didn't want to hear? Something tells me that is Mike's M.O.

One thing we all agree on is that Oscar makes very little or no money doing the failcast.

You seem to think that Oscar's participation in the Failcast is indicative as to how succesful he is. i.e.-Oscar has so much $$$$ that he has the luxury of doing the MOM everyday for no $$$ because he has that covered elsewhere.

I think this behavior is more indicative of desperation or misplaced hope that this can turn into a real radio gig at some point thus suggesting that he doesn't have a whole lot else going on.

If Oscar is making so much $$$ selling Mangrates or iPhone apps why would he take 3+ hours away from his business everyday to do the failcast unless he thought there was a possible payoff down the road?

As a startup entrepreneur Oscar’s time IS money. Especially when you consider that the time Oscar spends on the Failcast is right in the middle of the day.

So the question still stands. Why would Oscar spend so much time on the Failcast and thus take time away from his lucrative startup business, being such a money maker and the Failcast isn’t.

One possible answer is the Oscar has already made all the money he wants and doing the Failcast, in Oscar’s mind , is simply a luxury he has due to the fact that he makes so much money elsewhere.

My answer is much simpler. His start up business is not nearly as profitable as he wants everyone to think. So he’s really not giving up all that much by participating in the Failcast. Therefore, the possible long term payoffs with MOM make it a reasonable short term investment of time even when taking into consideration what that time could otherwise be spent on. i.e. selling Mangrates or iPhone apps.

In other words; Oscar does the Failcast because it is his best option at this point which kinda makes since, right?

Now Oscar may well have inherited money or have his lifestyle subsidized by his family, but based on his actions, I simply don’t believe he makes a lot of $$$ on his own.

If Oscar is set financially and he loves radio (podcasting), why would he work for ManGrates and on iPhone Apps?

He spends the time because he likes podcast/talk radio. I don't get why this is so complicated and involves so much conspiracy theory. He does it because he has fun and really likes getting his name out there in a format he enjoys.

I can tell you Oscar has a decent amount of money and is well off. Now if he inherited all of it and makes nothing from Mangrates/I apps, etc, I don't know. I do know that he actually has a lot of cash though so he must have inherited a LOT but, since I'm fairly certain the inheritance wasn't THAT big, I fairly certain he makes a lot of money in his job.

Oscar comes from a family of high achievers ,,,doctors and such

If he's putting up a front it's probably to impress his family esp. his Dad,,,

Kara would fit into this theory,,,pretty sure she's probably the hottest "spouse" in the family

Oscar is clearly a smart guy and I think what ever his motivations are they fall into his long term plan for success,,,and he probably would like broadcasting to be the source of his success in the near future,,

Everything else is probably just a means to an end (ie. paying bills)

Jesus Christ! Can you imagine Kara having conversations with the wives of doctors and lawyers? I mean, they probably went to Vassar and they're trying to have an intelligent conversation with this...

Kara is the type of chick that's hot in her 20's, starts looking a little ragged and putting on the pounds in her 30's and by her 40's it's all over. And the dude that married her is like "WTF?".

Also, look at her ass from the back....that thing is just begging to double in size. The ass to calf ratio is a good indication of that - bubble ass and skinny calfs = middle aged fat ass. I've seen it enough to know that it's a good bet.

And Oscar's sister-in-laws were the first in their families to graduate from Vassar...(Instead of Wellesley College...Shhh. It's a sensitive subject within the family).

I think it might be her crazy left eye. It's so much more intense than the right. And she must think that's her "good side", because that eye's usually most visible.

O'Meara was the baby of the family, putting on a show for the adults. And probably spoiled. (Which may help explain his career and personal life.)

Oscar does seem to be going bald. Instead of being an adult and getting a decent haircut, he's resort to spraying shit in his hair and combing it wildly in a vain attempt to try to hide the obvious. He and Kara seem to be two very superficial people who are going to have a hell of a time dealing with the realities of aging.

Excellent point. in fact upon closer examination I believe the cellulite deposits in the attached photos are evidence of the initial stages of the transformation from "bubble ass" to "tank ass".

Through your CSI like ZOOM IN skills, you have managed to point to the sunlight reflecting off the car on to her leg as being 'fat'.

I'm not saying Kara is all THAT great looking but I'd be willing to bet a significant amount of cash she's better looking than anyone's gf here is.

Look closer. Those aren't reflections. You can definitely tell there is a cottage cheese dimple on her ass cheek on the upper right. And the one of the left is the shadow left by another dimple.

Given that this was taken a few years ago, those have probably morphed into a whole carton's worth of cottage cheese on her ass and thighs.

As for the GF remark, when my wife was that age, she was much hotter...and not a head case.

Oscar has said many times on the show that the podcast was indeed his idea, and he talked the other guys into it. Mike was skeptical at first.

So I don't think there's any honorable way for Oscar to walk away from it, without there being a lot of hard feelings toward him.

I think he's stuck with it, until Mike or one of the other guys decides to pull the plug on it.

Buzz might just be the first one to walk away. On that show that Northman posted, Buzz said a couple of times that he's "broke now." Maybe Buzz is getting fed up.

I'll say it again, it's sad that O'Meara, with 30 years in broadcasting under his belt is taking career advice from a kid that clocked, what? two years at JFK/CBS and is now out of broadcast radio?

All this makes me wonder if MOM has an agent, someone who would push, even kick him in a positive money generating direction even if it meant moving to another market.

What has to burn the shit out of Buzz is Mike constantly haranguing these guys about not getting real jobs so that they could focus on the podcast. Yet as soon as things get dire for Mike, he grabs the first shit job he can. I mean, Rob(b) loses his townhome. Buzz is running on fumes. But, goddammit, you'd better commit to wasting three hours in the middle of a work day to work on this dumbass failcast!

Even if he had an agent, I don't think Mike wants to leave the area. From a pragmatic standpoint, he probably wants to stay near his daughters. From a cynical standpoint, he probably wants to stay near his drinking buddies and the low-IQ star fuckers who occasionally buy him drinks because he used to be somebody.

I'm not going to post photos of my wife. Rest assured, though, she was hotter at Kara's age than Kara is. That, and she has a great face, too. Not that weird scrunched-up, diseased eye look Kara has.

I noticed in the above post that you said your wife "was" similar to Rachael.

What happened?

Did she leave you because you're a hermit & spend way too much time on this forum?

Or

Is she a lardass now?

Or

Is she spending the evening with Oscar?

Or

Did you kill her?

Since you are a strange lad that pretends to know everything about Mike, his wife, Robb, Robb's wife, Oscar, Oscar's girlfriend, Marc, Marc's wife, Buzz, Buzz's wife, RJ, and RJ's right hand.... please tell us a little more about yourself.

Lots of comments about Kara's "daddy issues". But in the photo of Donnie sitting by Janet right after his accident, did you notice that he looked like a scared kid sitting next to his mommy? Mommy issues? With Frieda too. Tough guy marries mommy. Weird.

But like you say, he seems happy. Life's short, be happy.

+1. And sad. As Donnie G. is proving, sometimes a change of scene will do wonders.

Ron and Fez went from Florida to New York to Fairfax to 'net limbo before landing their XM gig back in New York and now they are a national show doing very well.

O'Meara isn't totally berefit of broadcasting talent, a physical move that forced a divorce from the hangers on and booze-hound friends could revive his career - but that would take some "effort", not MOM's strongest suit.

Well it's REAL hard to compare when you just make up stories and post pictures of actors. I mean you could have looked less ridiculous if you simply didn't start making up stories.

I'm not making up anything. Sorry if you can't stand the notion that there are hotter women out their than Kara with less emotional baggage.

Why do you care so much, anyway? Seems to me you have something personally vested in this.

There you go with the "making up" stuff again. Why do you have a problem with my wife being more attractive than Kara? Seems like that really bothers you. Hmmm.

Agreed. She is the worst part of the show, hands down.

Also, WTL, I think you may have stepped in it a bit with that RLC pic. Keep the focus on Mike!

You have a wife?! She must be a mongoloid. Mongoloids are hot though, right?

Kara appears to be a mongoloid, so "yes."

Possibly. It seems I've upset Kara...er, I mean, "ChadIsFat."

I made nothing up. You posted a picture of an actress and said your wife looked a lot like her. As if anyone here believes that. Nothing there was made up, that is what happened.

I don't think you even have a wife. I'm just a little stunned at how childish you are acting and trying to post pictures of people from the internet. I mean that's really something a child would do.

Do I care if your 'wife' is hotter than Kara? No. I seriously doubt she is (and I doubt you even have a wife) and I don't even think Kara is THAT hot. But hey, come up with more photographs of actors and claim they look like your wife or even you.

You made up ChadIsFat because he know Oscar personally and don't want it revealed publicly that you hate Chad.

Yes. I don't have a wife. Oops. No, I just made THAT up. What am I supposed to do to please you? Well, nothing. Because I could give a shit what you believe.

As for posting photos from the Internet...no, being an exhibitionist wearing a g-string in front of a bunch of drunk men is something a child would do. Posting those publicly available photos on this forum is more sophomoric.

> Do I care if your 'wife' is hotter than Kara?

Obviously you do. Because you care if ANYONE is hotter than Kara, which would explain the exhibitionist behavior.

Hey, I was just providing something for comparison. Based on your reaction, there may be something true about the whole "psycho" thing.

Yes. That was right before I smashed her phone in a jealous rage because she was playing mind games with me.

OT but are Ron and Fez really doing ok in their satellite of love career. I enjoy listening to the show but it just ain't the same (boy as you get older seem to be saying that a lot). Fez just seems like one f8cked up dude at this point. And also think the show could use a more dynamic producer. All that I'd still rather listen to Ron and Fez than the boring failcast.

Re: Miss Janet being on the donnie g. show. I too find those segments boring bordering on annoying but donnie g. has just got it in his head that it shows the real side of life and the masses will find that stuff entertaining. I think he's blinded by love or whatever that is and the problem she that has little talent, if any, for radio.

I never got much out of the old Freda segments either. But in terms of inside baseball, his battles with Hughes, Leinwand, etc, were always entertaining.

It would only hurt if it were true. That's why the MOM crew can't stand any criticism whatsoever.

Fact 1: Kara used to be a lot hotter.
Fact 2: Kara is a fucking psycho.
Fact 3: If you wouldn't smash it, you're a homo
