Rick didn't make too much sense in the last episode. Maybe it was the overacting but what's with saying that he killed his best friend for the group and he did what he needed to do and coming off to his wife that he didn't really have a reason to kill Shane (and a wife who in other episodes stressed how dangerous Shane was and someone needs to do something.)
How about saying something like, WTF!? My best friend had this whole premeditated plan that everyone saw to kill the hostage, fake like he escaped and lure me away so he could kill me in the woods and I was forced to protect myself in self defense. What a dick that guy is!
Rick would make a terrible lawyer.

The actor playing Rick is a Brit. He's good, but in so many movies where I've seen Brits try to play Americans from the South or the West they can't quite seem to get it right. This actor can do a great job of immitating the Georgia accent and he looks like a local cop and all, but there's something about his mannerisms that just seems a bit off. Couple that with the good-but-not-great scropt writing and the quality of the show takes a hit, good as it is.

Season 2 was uneven as hell. The ratings are great - much better than Mad Men - but they fired Frank Darabont to save money. 
Anyhoo, the new showrunner had to step up on short notice, maybe that accounts for the hit-or-miss quality, and mid-season plot doldrums.
I am hoping they will their shit together get in season 3.
Random thoughts:
- The character conflict is mostly annoying rather than interesting or engaging. Not a good thing.
- I wish they had killed Rick and kept Shane, because the dude who plays Shane is a much more interesting actor.
- At this point, the only character I really like is Darryl. (Glenn was fun in season 1, but his season 2 emo-turn bores me. Randall showed some promise, too bad he got knocked off.)
- Interesting to see the way the show diverges from the comic.
- On the comic front, it seems like Kirkman has been losing steam/treading water for the past year or two. Will he regain his rather awesome mojo? Is he spreading himself too thin with all these projects? Only the shadow knows.

Well this Governor character looks like a scary sick fuck. And good ole' Merle has finally surfaced. Good match, these two.

How does a meeting of Rick and group settle with the Governor and town?
- Rick = Alpha, and I do not see him taking orders from Governor.
- Governor = Alpha (By circumstance?) and will not give up his creation.
- Brothers Merle and Daryl - how does that play out?
- When Merle sees Daryl as friends with T-Dog?
- Rick could run "Town", but not in the same way the Governor does.
Also, is it me, or does the "Town" seem to be a throwback to more segregated times? Whites holding the leadership positions while minorities have lesser roles --- they even had a Latino guy raking leaves!
I get the feeling of some sort of Cult -- where they impregnate the women only with the Leaders' (Whites) to create a new race more in lines with the Governor's values.

Does this series remind anyone of the the Stephen King Book "The Stand". Esp since we met the Govenor who is like Randall Flagg. Really organized but evil. Rick is like the guy from Texas (forget his name) and Shane was kind of like Harold the way he flipped out. The girl in the Stand was pregant like Laurie.

Sorry, could understand the point you were trying to make but one little thing about your name..........it was Johnson's Autobody. And the space the "theater" now sits on actually belonged to AET (Automotive Equipment and Tool). Or the back corner of Thompson's Dairy. It's hard to pin point now.

Well, looks like Andrea made the wrong choice. The zombie Thunderdome LOL.
Meanwhile, Rick needs to get a grip. I get the whole zombie-killing spree, but throwing Short Round (Glen) around was not cool, and neither is ignoring his new kid.
The part where he kills the zombie that ate Lori's body and stabbed its full belly was pretty gruesome (ie. awesome). Lot's of great zombie kills. The show continues to deliver.

During Talking Dead the episode director noted that there were four graves dug, three were filled with one empty for Lori (whenever they find her) but didn't get into whether or not anybody was in the filled in ones...Daryl putting the Cherokee rose or whatever flower that was down on what one can assume is meant to be Carol's grave may just be misdirection. Season 3 seems to be centered around the idea that it isn't what you see that drives the plot it is what they cut away from and you are led to assume the outcome (prisoner left for dead in courtyard, Carl popping off a round after the chid birth, the person watching Carol practice a C Section from the treeline ...)

This season has been much better than last so far. Poor Michonne, she figured out that spilling guts on your body is easier than dragging around two walkers without arms or jaws. Lol. Rick and crew figured out that technique some time ago. Doesn’t seem they use it much but I remember them doing it for camouflage last season.
The phone thing was kind of lame but apparently it gave him closure. I’m glad Lori isn’t coming back, I thought for a minute there she might.

The reason this episode was so good is it creates so much anticipation for next week.....
Will Andrea stay with the Governor or does she remain loyal to Rick's group?
Does Merle remain loyal to the Governor or will he join his brother?

Does the Governor send a group to the undefended prison while Rick's group infiltrates the town?

Verizon is getting dropped like a motherfucking rock if AMC goes from my lineup...but that's just because Mrs. Strife is looking for any reason to drop TV service and just go with Hulu or something instead.

no spoiler here - but next week Michonne is alone in the Governor's private room, finds Penny (his walker daughter) and unchains her from the leash in her closet (that's when the clip ended) SHOULD TURN OUT FINE, RIGHT?

Maybe Brits work for cheap or something. Rick's bad southern accent isn't the only thing wrong with him. The way he gets all dark and broody when things don't go his way, and the facial expressions he makes, just don't look right on a small town cop from Georgia, but they fit right into a Harry Potter movie.

There were a few times where I was watching last night and I was like, "Awesome!" and then there were other times when I was like "come on!".
The governor gets stabbed by glass in his eye and then is walking around giving speeches? And yes, Andrea is a moron.
Michonne’s dark, brooding, non-talking nature does get a little old but at least she kicks ass. Overall a great episode. Can’t wait for the second half of the season.

Well, the new token black guy didn't last long, shotgun to the abdomen. Of course, the new group that found the gap in the prison fence* has a couple of tokens.
I take the new group will help defend the prison against the raid from the Governor.
I was kinda hoping when the fish tanks broke all the zombie heads would nibble on the Governor or Michonne when they were on the floor, but no luck.
The lesbian comment was hilarious!
My bet is Andrea and the gay scientist find a way to rescue Meryl and Darryl.
*So that's how the non-prisoner walkers were getting in the prison.
