It was in fact 37 degrees out there when I first got up, and what we have now is a few puffy white clouds floating around in blue skies and bright sunshine with barely any wind at all. Rather pleasant conditions all in all for a quick stroll out and back to reel in the morning paper. We expect to see sun and the mid 50's over most of the afternoon and certainly over the bulk of today's seven episodes of Cash Cab. Always nice to look forward to those.

Having nothing good at all to look forward to of course is the now played out President Ding Dong. His NDAA veto so easily over-ridden, pretty much the best he can hope for at this point is ugly, violent behavior in the streets of DC by his invited gangs of brown-shirt, brain-dead, right-wing rabble next Wednesday. Well, this latest Whiffie collapse comes as no real surprise, as collapses of epic proportion are essentially all that they are noted for. We out here in the Sweet Spot are typically noted for better than this, but what we have today is so far a cold and cloudy morning that may well become damp as well over the course of the afternoon. We've got just 37 degrees out there now, and things might not get much if any above the 40-degree mark today. In fact, we might not get above the mid 40's all week. That's not good, but it's still more than what some folks in Florida have recently had to go through. Been a couple of days now since numbers of deer came marching across the property. We'll have to keep an eye out for them during this afternoon's Cash Cab hours, but I also want to spend some time putting Xmas presents away as well. In other news, the first edition of the Nats' 2021 schedule is out. No mention of game times or promotional entries on it yet, and no certainty at all that any of these games will actually be played. It's sort of a 'just in case' schedule at this point, but I suppose that's better than just tossing in the towel right off the bat. Former Nats C Sandy Leon (31) has meanwhile signed a minor league deal with MIA. He'll be in Spring Training with The Fish after a lost season with CLE in 2020, but five very nice seasons with BOS prior to that. Otherwise, the Nats are reported for what must be the tenth or twelfth time to be interested in picking up just turned 32 RHP Alex Colome as a bullpen piece. He's been a top notch closer in his time, but the price has always been too steep for Rizzo in the past. Might come a little more cheaply now as a free-agent, but there are similar models out there and other teams kicking the tires, so as always, we'll just have to wait and see.

Plenty of clarity already of course concerning the state of feeble Falls Church City. It hasn't been any good in years and years, and 2021 is not going to bring any sort of significant change in that, at least none that would be for the better. Some should stop lying about the weather. The daytime high in Vero Beach on 12/25 was 57. Vero Beach received .02" of precipitation between 3 and 4 am and .01 inches between 11 am and noon that day. An honest person would note that to be a negligible difference between the two places.

A person that grew up in Vero Beach and visited the Space Coast multiple times would not screw up the geographic location of the Space Coast. You did just that, further exposing yourself as a lying fraud.
