Had to happen sooner or later considering all of the idiots that go to shooting ranges thinking they're Billy Badass then shoot up the walls, ceiling, carriers, themselves etc.. ...And in other news, 199,999,999 guns in America were not involved in negligent discharges that day.

The Walmart near Fair Lakes sells ammo but you have to be there the day the shipment comes in to get any.

It appears I have deleted all my bookmarks. Just do a google search, you're bound to come up with some instances. Part of the problem, though, is that more often than not people will not report it to the police if they scared someone off by drawing their gun. Why get the cops involved if no one was hurt? And if there is no police record of it, then the main stream media will never hear of it. Eve

The video is a hoax and demonstrates some things you should NOT do during a hostile encounter. As for documented cases, yes there are a few from the past few years, I will have to do some research to find the links again.

My only experience is the internet connection via FIOS. I previously had Verizon DSL. There are noticeable improvements in my multiplayer video game. My pings were typically around 120 or 130, now they're averaging around 30 to 40. For a $10/month price increase, I'd say it was worth it. I just downgraded my home phone service by $10/mo

I own a Glock 17 for home defense. It is a 9mm handgun that holds 17 rounds in the magazine. I would recommend a gun in .45 ACP for home defense but the reason I got one in 9mm was so that my wife would be able to shoot it should I happen to be preoccupied at the moment (or not home). All Glocks have large grips so I would not recommend them to people with small hands. I would not recommend a sh

1. Obey all traffic laws. 2. Allow faster moving traffic to pass. Slower moving traffic should keep to the right. 3. There is no single answer to your question. It depends on so many different factors that it is unreasonable to even attempt to answer this question with specific numbers. Your best bet is to look at the Virginia traffic laws and figure out how much of a penalty is associated with

Apparently the first location wasn't big enough to accommodate all the people coming to see them. They probably should have scheduled to have it back in July before school was in session, kind of like how Obama had his rally at Robinson.

Appalachian trail intersects I-66 in the next county over, so not really Fairfax, but if you're willing to drive an hour... http://www.appalachiantrail.org/ You will occasionally run into other hikers, depending on the season. Probably better off in a national forest... http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/gwj/

You are obstructing the flow of traffic and present a hazard to those who want to pass you. Stay out of the hammer lane, you are going to cause an accident. Even though you are obeying the law, others around you are going to try to pass you and they are going to get into accidents with those around them. And if you're trolling, stop.

This should be required viewing in highschool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqMjMPlXzdA I neither agree with anything the ACLU stands for, nor do I endorse any of the activities that got the characters into trouble in the video, but the truth about your civil rights outlined in the bill of rights remains the same and is important for everyone to know.

Uh... you can only drive in HOV lanes if you have 2 or more occupants per vehicle or if your vehicle has exception to the rule (ie. motorcycle or hybrid or whatever) and I-66 Westbound is HOV both lanes monday through friday from I think 4:00 or 4:30 to 6:30pm. The law says nothing about where you work, only how many people are in the car and the time of day. If you are going from Rosslyn toward

Do not buy any merchandise this way. It is usually counterfeit and in some instances stolen. If it is stolen, mere possession of the stolen goods will put you in violation of the law, even though you did not steal them yourself. Also be aware of the two person scam where one guy walks up to you at a gas station and offers to sell you some obviously stolen goods such as watches or jewelry for ver

It is getting kind of boring when every thread in Fairfax Underground that even mentions firearms turns into a name calling debate over the private ownership of guns.

Joe H, I'm about as pro-gun as they come (it is the only topic I post about on Fairfax Underground) and I would NOT recommend carrying your SKS in your car. It is a poor choice for self defense and would unfortunately attract the wrong sort of attention in Northern VA. The assault weapons ban expired a few years ago, you dont have to worry about that any more. There are no permits or gun lice

Also if you're looking for a used gun, I highly recommend being able to physically hold it in your hand and inspect it. That is another benefit of buying locally or from a gun show. If you're buying online or long distance, you're subject to whatever return/exchange/repair policy the seller has IF they even have one. And dont forget shipping costs. My advice if you're buying from someone in anoth
