Its amazing that organizations that represent the working men and women in this country can be deamonized..while corporations like BP can be coddled is beyaond me. It does seem as if the multi-million dollars spent by corporations expressing their 1st amendment rights works very well on the labor hating minions like yourself.

If the only guns sold were for self defense at home and for game hunters...gun ownership would be no big deal. But the hoarding of guns and ammunition for individual arsenal collection....and assualt waaponry..it's all ridiculous and dangerous.

A serious effort to reduce the deficit will require spending cuts..spending relaignments...will require some taxes to be eliminated and others to be expanded. It appears clear that the U.S. public has no love for income taxes...so consumption taxes are in order. Prior to prohibition taxes on alcohol products were the main source of revenue...I suggest we legalize most recreational drugs and tax

The redistribution of political power (political power = money) from populated states to unpopulated states (negating the one man one vote philosophy) that the U.S. Senate represents...is a socialist idea. So are the Bill of rights...which in totality says the majority may not vote awa the rights of a minority...any redistribution of money or power from the majority to the minorirty is a sociali

wahhh..waahh..wahhh..it's all Congress's fault....what a bunch of Oscar Mayer bolagna. And as far as your interpreation of American history..it certainly is one-sided (what's new)...from day one there were those who wanted a strong central government..and less you forget even George himself fell under the spell of the likes of Alexander Hamilton..a great American Socialist.

I think a very few people spoil the reputation of very many. I think the feeling of entitlement flows upward to our representatives....Congressmen get elected every 2 years...we expect them in their short term to bring home the bacon. If they can enrich our pockets we are willing to look the other way. The 11% approval rating for Congress is a much a reflection of the electorate as the elected.

But a good stimulus policy can't just be big; it should also offer a lot of bang for the buck. That is, each dollar of government sp

If there’s anything fundamental to the meaning of marriage in Western society, it’s monogamy. In fact, monogamy may be the only thing that remains essential to most people’s idea of marriage. People no longer marry for economic, dynastic, or procreative reasons as they did for millennia; they can’t be compelled to marry by law, religion, or custom; they don’t need to marry to have sex or cohabit
