did anyone see the McLaughlin Group today? Monica was babbling about illegal immigration and what ICE calls the OTMs (Other than Mexicans). She stated that there is a real problem with possible terrorists crossing over the southern border into the U.S.

Peter Beinart called what Monica said "Nonsense". He claimed the largest unprotected border is with Canada and if you were a terrorist it would be far easier to come the U.S. from Canada than from Mexico.

He did not mention that every terrorist caught trying to cross the border was either on a commercial flight or came in through Canada.

He was sitting in the same chair that Mort Zuckerman sat in last year when Mort argued that a wall should be built between the U.S. and Canada. And Mort, as we know, is a Canadian.

I know I am in the minority screaming that we need to protect our borders from Canadians entering the U.S. But I think this cause might be slowly gaining momentum.

We can easily track livestock entering the country for purposes of monitoring diseases. My suggestion is that you give every OTM a cow when they cross a U.S. border.

Nothing quantitative about it. Any money the government pays you in pension is a waste of tax payer dollars. That is an absolute truth.

Whats cheaper is monitoring flights/ships etc. in and out of Canada which we already do. We work with Canada closely and we are aware enough to see who is in Canada and what they are doing/purchasing.

We need walls at the Mexican border because of numerous reasons (not just for drugs). Mexico is a U.S. ally, but they are not as organized as Canada in my opinion.

Spending more money on the Canadian border is a big waste of money. Unless we were going to spend less on Canadian intelligence by getting rid of certain agencies which would make no sense.

Again, wrong. Canada is a great threat to the U.S. and should be treated as such.

Again, Mort Zuckerman even called for a Canadian wall, and he is a Canadian!
