A co-worker rented his home to section 8. They totally trashed the place and before leaving stole his washer and dryer. When he figured out the time and money it would have taken him to sue them he just gave up. The police told him he could try to prosecute for the theft but of course since they were welfare cases to begin with the chances of collecting any restitution money were zero.

On a recent flight from DC to Las Vegas a guy tried to open the door of an airplane. http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0110/699202.html I keep reading that at a cruising altitude of 35,000 feet the doors cannot be opened but it doesnt say what would happen at a lesser altitude.
