There last night. Two coffees and a slice of cheesecake. Cake was good, not great. $18 with a small tip. Service at the bar was between indifferent and neglectful. I'd rate the experience 4.5 on a scale of 10. They've built a beautiful space, but at those prices, customers expect great food and service.

(13 July 1997, Virginia) Eric A. Barcia, a 22-year-old Reston, VA resident, was found dead yesterday after he used bungee cords to jump off a 70-foot railroad trestle, police said. http://darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin1997-05.html

Last comments about Oscar Smith. Did anyone notice how they crashed in when CV lined up to take a knee in the closing seconds? It happened twice and CV resorted to taking delay of game penalties to sidestep OS's poor sportsmanship. And at closing, when the players file by and pay respect for their opponents, a *lot* of the OS players walked several feet away from the CV line and refused to even m

Re: "What gives?" Same reason that USA Today has Oscar Smith ranked #8 in the country. It's the 757 Myth. Heavily biased by past perception and hype. Based on the CVHS games I witnessed this season, Oscar Smith is at best, the same caliber as Westfield or South County. The beating they received in Charlottesville was so humiliating, that I felt sympathy for them. At halftime, OS players and coac

RE: Centreville won 42-21; went up 42-0 in typical fashion, but give credit to Oakton who fought and scrapped. For the first time this year, Centreville did not cover their spread. === Same pattern as all previous games. Up 42-7 at the half. Second half is mainly 2nd and 3rd string. So really two games. In the second game, Oakton beat CVHS's second string 14-0.

Holy crap! Yes, I know that guy. He was a cub scout and boy scout leader in our troop from about 2004 - 09. Then he divorced and disappeared from the neighborhood. Looks like there were a few pieces missing from the puzzle back then. This info completes the picture. Yikes ...

So a franchise company makes poor business decisions and over expands and it's the government's fault because... why? Capitalism isn't for pussies. I recommend that the Obama-blamers stay in the basement where it's safe.

Because a lot of FFU users have had their home computer privileges cut off by their parents after they were caught masturbating in the basement?

@st leo parent - you seem like a decent, straightforward person. In other words you don't belong here. Just so you don't waste any more time: it seems obvious to me that the OP was throwing out an opening line to the trolls*. Rest assured there is absolutely nothing of value on this site. Never has been and never will be. And anyone looking for advice about where to send their children to schoo

A high end restaurant, a dive bar and a pizza place (if it ever goes in) will not compete with each other in any meaningful way. I predict a successful third restaurant would start to draw bigger crowds away from the dreadful soullessness that is Centreville. But it looks doubtful for the pizza place for whatever reason.

If a high school kid from a northern va upper middle class neighborhood mentions "lollipops" and "high" in the same sentence, what do you think is the most likely drug in the lollipops? Google the two words you get marijuana, fentanyl, heroin, coke, bath salts, etc. But given the circumstances, what's the *most likely* druge we're talking about?

Nice place. I give it 4/5 stars. 5 for atmosphere. 5 for service. 4 for food. Go Sunday night for 3-courses for $30-something. Also have any open wine for $5 per glass. Would not go there for a night out drinking - the bar is too $$$.

For the "free stuff" posters who were at a Klan Youth meeting on the day they taught housing program history in school, here's a remedial lesson: - Housing assistance programs go all the way back to President Teddy Roosevelt. - President Nixon is the father of Section 8. - The landmark Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 authorized the Section 8 existing program. - Obama was in 6th g

Opposite: Trummers - Sunday night, $30-something, 3- course. $5 wine (any open bottles). Two dinners, wine, tip, less than $100. Food is 8/10 or better. Service / atmosphere is 9/10. Inn @ LW - Spent $400 on two dinners and wine, tip. Food was 9/10. Worth $300 more? Hell no. Checked off the bucket list, won't be back.

Classes last year ranged as high as the low 20s. Not aware of any classes that were 12:1 range. Again - these are good questions to ask the principal. If being in a large, crowded school with high student:teacher ratio is a top requirement(?), then public school is clearly the choice. Union Mill ES can set you up in a 28:1 classroom. Ask the S.A. principal about their math program. The 8th gra

You seem serious - and may be new here - so the first obvious advice is to ignore the trolls. More will likely show up and will feed off any attention you give them. Second, this is the wrong place to ask serious questions concerning your kids' education. I know from experience that the St Andrews principal and priest would be absolutely pleased to give you a tour and answer your questions. Eve
