Really. Before I got to the translation, I thought it was going to be another death/suicide thread, this one complete with dead guy photo.

You might be onto something there, only that's how they should handle their numbering system. "Now serving E-2-5-8, at window number 16. Now serving E-2-5-8, at window number 16." I kind of call bullshit on the whole thing to begin with. Weight hasn't been on the VA DL for at least 15 years (or longer). Now they DO still have the weight box on the application, if she was dumb enough to fill it

I commute in from Reston to N. Arlington every day. I use a modified version of a route listed above: (from Toll Rd at Hunter Mill) R on Crowell (the first stop sign after the bunch of lights where the toll rd crosses over Hunter Mill) R to continue on Brown's Mill L on Beulah R on 7 L on Lewinsville (this can be tricky, after about 7:30 or so, this starts to get backed up) (cross over 123

Same thing happened to my folks' house during Hurricane Isabel in 2002, only the tree fell from the back towards the front. It sucked.

You should have been spending your time after school learning about capitalization and punctuation rather than spending it crapping this gigantic run-on sentence out onto this forum. How in the hell is anyone going to communicate with anyone else in ten years when you have no idea where one thing ends and the next begins and everything is full of lolllllls and extra goddamned consonants where t

There *was* a movie theatre there in the 80s, early 90s as well. I went there with my brother to see Fletch when it came out. Too bad I was 6 years old and didn't particularly appreciate it at the time. :) See also: The old Tyson's Corner

Does anyone know if a dollar coin counts as "exact change" for those lanes at the main plaza? Thanks!

So last night I was stuck in the normal backup that happens on Crowell Rd near Hunter Mill in Reston every night at rush hour. As I got to the intersection, though, I saw a cop directing traffic through. It really did help quite a bit with the long lines/wait time, but I could see no reason for him being there. There was no evidence of an accident (and had there been one, the backup would have be

When I was going to the gym, I liked Fitness First. Not overly crowded at either the Reston or Tysons locations, and pretty cheap, at $35 a month (in 07 or 08 maybe). I see they have a location in Chantilly, can't say how that one is. The catch to the price is that you are stuck using only the location you choose, but I think for an additional fee (something like $10 a month) you can open that u

My nephew fishes a pond on Springvale. Look for the rusted out dishwasher. If you need help, look for the big stoner kid catching lots of fish using weird bait. He knows what he's doing. I don't know if it's private property or what, but he says that the couple of times a cop has stopped by, they've never been in trouble for trespassing.

I'm currently listening to a woman listen to an iPod, 10 feet away. I can hear every word of Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman". After a while, she'll probably switch back to Celine Dion. What a relief.

There were still piles of snow left over from December in my neighborhood before the new snow hit last Friday. Unless we get a string of rainy or really warm days, it'll be St. Patrick's Day at least before it's all gone.

+1000000. My sister is a raging alcoholic, and lives so deep in it that she kind of won't go to the AA-type places because she thinks the inpatient "Intervention" type beachy-paradise thing is the only thing that will help her. I asked, "what more do you think THAT will do?" No answer. I think most addicts know that they have to do it themselves, but can't or won't, and so seek someone who wil

Hahaha. It amazes me that there's some punk kid out there who thinks an ID that also features his girlfriend is going to work anywhere. Times are tough, but I doubt they've gotten to the point of doubling up on photos. My parents live an hour east of Fredericksburg, near Tappahannock. Cigarettes in that area are at least $7 a carton cheaper than in this area, even, and it's in the same state. I had a conversation with the clerk at the Get-N-Zip (convenience store) who told me that the legal limit for purchase in Virginia is 8 cartons. She also told me that they see people there every day from DE and MD buying
