Sorry, forgot one thing. Genevieve, you rock. You said it right -- doesn't matter what religion anyone is as long as they keep it out of their politics. And, yes, I'd vote for any follower of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. You are ultracool to know about that. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster Now excuse me while I celebrate the holy season of Ramendan.

Uh, Craddock is not a Catholic. He's the youth minister at a fundamentalist church called King's Chapel in Fairfax -- where his father-in-law is the pastor. I went to their website -- it has a nice cheery statement that if you don't believe in everything they do you are condemned to damnation. King's Chapel is not affiliated with any big church -- basically it's a church that wants to be more

If anyone cares, I went to Craddock's site and he has three endorsements -- the GOP senator and Wolf and Davis, the GOP Congressmen. Caputo's the Democrat. I went to Caputo's site and he had Virginia Education Assn -- Conservation Voters -- Professional Fire Fighters and EMT -- Fairfax Coalition of Police -- Virginia AFL-CIO -- Fairfax County Deputy Sheriffs -- Washington Board of Trade -- Nort

Here's an idea to help the state budget. Just put patrol cars on Craddock's tail whenever he drives. Mentor to youth.

Just saw a reference in the Chantilly Times to this new political website on the Craddock-Caputo delegate race. Can't vouch for what they say there but it's pretty funny anyway. Here's the URL: http://www.chriscraddock-lies.com/pages/2/index.htm

Good idea to go there. Better to keep reminding the government that the public really doesn't like our men and women being killed for no good cause. And enjoy the music.

Cary has it right -- the one in Fair Lakes right near Tony's pizza. Just find the Fair Lakes shopping Center off Fair Lakes Parkway and go down to the end, near Stringfellow, past the Wal-Mart. There's a little part of the shopping center right across from the Food Lion.

This post may cause me to be scorned, but here goes. I was reading the Dave Barry site and he had a link to this site: http://www.manilowfund.com/ Barry Manilow? Well, it turns out that if you contribute through his site, he'll add double, so if you give $50 he'll give $100.

Our family has been to Red Pepper near the Food Lion in Fair Oaks. Gone there about 6 times, and everything on the menu is great. It's not expensive, and they give you a lot of food. I've eaten in probably different 50 Chinese restaurants, and this is the best quality/value one I've ever been too. It's nice inside, but people dress casually.

Catholic Charities has a very good record of low administrative costs -- so more of your dollars will actually get there. http://www.nvoad.org/membersdb.php?members=National is the page on the FEMA website for a list of approved ones.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head, RS. He wants a political career and he's painting a certain picture of himself. It's odd to me that he doesn't want to go into the ministry, since that's what he's been doing. As far as I can tell from his website bio, he's never had a full time job.

I know I shouldn't waste my time on politics, but my kids are going to school now and I want to make sure their school system is good. So I've been cruising the political blogs that discuss Virginia races and came scross a link to this article about Chris Craddock: http://www.washblade.com/2005/7-29/news/localnews/primary.cfm I'm sorry, but the guy seems a bit scary to me. I'm all for divers

There's definitely a lack of parks here for the, say, 2-8 age group. We came from Minnesota and they have play parks every few blocks, and some that the adults can enjoy -- rope jungle gyms that are 20 feet high and really complicated. I'd write to someone like the person who represents you on the Board of Supervisors. If enough people eventually write they might get the message.

Had Pomodoro last night. Pretty good. I'd give it a B+. The crust was hard as a rock at first, and difficult to cut. But the ingredients were good -- they don't use a whole lot of cheese but the toppings were ample. By the second piece, the crust softened up from the oil and sauce, and it sort of grew on me. The I could fold it over and eat it like God meant ya to.

So how many of you voted in the recent primary elections? Ya know it's the state government and local government decisions that really affect our lives. So why did we get stuck with a guy like Chris Craddock? Does anyone know if he really believes in the crap he says? Is this the 15th century?
