Are you a young buck red onion?

When I was under 40 my bowels were not even a thought. Kind of like "they have a purpose" but not like considerations put in place.

In my 60s now and I see why Elvis died crapping.

You know Red , you are right. Even though we have digestively challenged bowels we have to live it up every once in awhile.
Mrs Dive is visiting our daughter this weekend and I am going to go to the Harrisonburg truckstop for a big steak smothered in cooked onions with a salad and a big baked potato. Yes this will cause me trouble tonight but I just got to have a good meal!

Well, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. My late lunch of steak onions and baked potato yesterday was delicious. I have been farting quite a bit but that may be a good sign. At least I haven't blown shit all over the bathroom floor, not yet anyway.
Eating at the truckstop yesterday I lingered for an hour or so and watched the truckers come and go. Truckers apparently have outstanding bowels. I watched one trucker eat chicken fried steak smothered in sausage gravy, two fried eggs, home fries, rye toast and a side of bacon! He then filled his thermos full of black coffee, paid for his meal and commented that he was heading to the restroom to download the brown file before heading to Ontario.
No way in hell I could drive an hour after putting down a meal like that let alone drive to Canada!

Was this the full amount or partial, like brown streaks? Sometimes I have to use a finger to push it back in until I find a restroom.

No offense but putting a finger in your rectum is probably a bad decision. It just doesnt seem wise and even though my doctor has thick wrists, even then it hasnt helped me crap better.

@ spring onion, exlax can be dangerous stuff one time it dehydrated me so bad I had to go to the emergency room for an IV fluid recharge.

@ Brown splat. I think you need to go with some adult diapers buddy. I feel for you man but there is no way around it. You can get them shipped to your house in unmarked boxes, check aarp.com for details.

@ green onion, Sometimes it's like giving birth but that's better than a cesarean section.

@ red onion06, Wendy can be a real bitch sometimes. I go into wendys with my mind made up that I am getting salad and baked potato but somehow end up with a double with cheese, fries and a frosty. Fuck my life!

@ Diced onion, Sausage and cheese can bring you to your knees. Be careful out there my friend!

I know it's crazy but I felt like Brown Onion may have come to me in a dream last night. He said that the place where he is now there are no bowel problems. He urged me to try and keep this forum alive as it is his legacy.
I would like to re-post this song from a couple years back in this thread, it says a lot about Brown onion.

Brothers in bowel
This song is for you.

The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my bowel brother

So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my bowel brother

If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another

It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my bowel brother

He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my bowel brother...

@ red06, Hang in there my friend I am betting that your heart condition will be manageable with a few lifestyle changes and some medication.

My bowels are suffering now that school is out and the healthy meal choices at the Dining halls on campus are mostly closed for the summer. It is very easy to eat healthy at JMU where they feed over 15,000 people a day during the school year. The food is very fresh because of the incredible volume that they prepare each day. Yesterday I ordered a delivery pizza at one of my rental properties where I have been painting and making repairs for the coming school year. Steak and mushroom pizza is NOT bowel friendly.

User name Anon Doc.
Your contributions to this forum are always negative and condescending. I assume this is an outlet for you to try and make you feel better about yourself. Perhaps you may have noticed that after years of posting your negativity that you have helped or entertained no one.
I think I speak for most of the regular contributors on this thread when I say that you have proven yourself to be a rather worthless individual. I hope you live a long and miserable life and end up dying alone in a cold, lonely institutional setting such as a poorly maintained and staffed nursing home. You deserve this.

Good day to you sir.

https://draxe.com/salt-water-flush/

You’re surely familiar with a colon cleanse, even if you’ve never done one. But did you know a salt water flush is a simple, safe and effective way to detox the body and cleanse the colon from the comfort of your own home? It’s true.

By drinking a beneficial mixture of real sea salt dissolved in water (sometimes along with a little lemon juice), you’re able to push waste through the body, release toxins and improve digestion.

Sound a bit crazy? This method of colon and stomach cleansing has actually been used for many years, and it appears to be a lot safer than many commercial colon-cleansing drugs, laxative teas or diuretics. Below, we explore why this is and how to perform a salt water flush.

A salt water flush, also sometimes referred to as a “salt water cleanse” or a “master cleanse,” is designed to help you cleanse your colon and digestive system by bringing on a forced bowel movement.

Salt itself is needed for many biochemical processes, including (but not limited to): adrenal gland/thyroid gland function, cell wall stability, muscle contractions, nutrient absorption, nerve stimulation, pH, and water balance regulation.

The official salt water flush has become more popular over the past decade as a “hack” to facilitate digestion and cleansing as part of a kick-start when doing a “master cleanse” program. The idea is that drinking a salt mixture ignites the body’s own mechanism of natural detoxification and waste elimination, helping to get your digestive system back on track and in the process making you feel lighter, less sluggish and less weighed-down.

Maybe you’re wondering if it’s really necessary to cleanse your colon and detox with salt. The fact is that for many people — especially those eating poor diets — toxins, heavy metals and waste build up in the colon over time due to insufficient and infrequent elimination. This leads to digestive issues and can contribute to inflammation, low energy and possibly even disease development.

Nearly 20 percent of the adult American population reports suffering from very frequent constipation, which means many people can afford to clear things out now and then, especially in a such a safe, simple and effective way as a salt water flush.

Feeling backed up? This will clear you right out! You will need to stay at home or in a hotel room for 24 hours after eating this!

New England Boiled Dinner
Makes 8 servings

A 2- to 3-pound smoked cottage or "daisy" ham
1½ pounds medium potatoes, washed and quartered
1 pound carrots, peeled and cut in large pieces
1 small head cabbage, preferably Savoy, cut into 8 wedges and trimmed of core
Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Cook's notes: Find these butt-end hams at most supermarkets -- often more freshly made at some local butcher shops and the West Side Market in Cleveland. You will need a 6-quart Dutch oven with a heavy bottom and a lid. Plan for the first step of this dish to take 3-4 hours of simmering. Also, consider these recommendations regarding saltiness:

The hams are often well-salted. If you are salt-sensitive, consider first soaking the ham overnight in the refrigerator (in water to cover generously) and discarding soaking water before adding fresh water for simmering.
Or bring the ham to a simmer in water to cover, simmer for 5 minutes and drain off water. Refill halfway and start the simmer again.
Simmer the ham: Add enough water to go halfway up the side of the ham. Cover and bring to a boil. Lower to a simmer, cover and continue cooking for 3½ to 4 hours or until a fork easily shreds meat. Turn the ham every hour while it cooks.

Let the ham rest: Remove ham to a cutting board to sit, covered loosely with foil, while you finish the dish. Or refrigerate ham in broth overnight. This will allow you to easily skim off the fat and cut the cooled ham more easily before finishing the recipe.

Cook the vegetables: Add potatoes and carrots to the broth and heat to a simmer. Cook until just tender, about 15 minutes. Add cabbage wedges and cook another 10-15 minutes until cabbage is tender -- or slice the meat thickly and add to broth, along with cabbage wedges, then cook another 10-15 minutes until cabbage is tender.

Presentation: You can assemble the meat and vegetables on a warmed platter or present servings on individual plates. Serve with freshly ground pepper, if desired. Save leftover broth for making pea soup.

Its with some solace, that my late brother Spiros work and life cause carry on here. I miss him very much, but it makes me happy everyone appears to communicate and commiserate here.

Our digestive problems are a problem, but still all carry on. My bowel issues are probably genetic as Spiro, Clarence and I process foods in not very good ways.

I eat KFC for lunch 5 days a week. Thighs and legs extra crispy. On Fridays I get a chicken pot pie as a side dish for my 3 piece meal. The pot pie helps with proper digestion because it has vegetables in it.

Best guess is genetics. That being used to slum like foods allows them to process these foods, where it rips us apart.

"Best case genetics." You and your romper room brigade are unwise, patently immature village idiots who need to grow up.

I sit on my rear
A tear in my beer
As my bowels start to bust
I push hard oh I must

The screaming and agony of pain
My neighbor thinks I am insane
The smell of funk coming from my home
Its a good thing this isnt under the dome

My bowels betray me as they always do
All Im left is with a rather big pooh
A plumber will come and fix my toilet slow
I wonder what's left in the colon to go.

Hoping to push it all out the back door

Looks like the luster of the bowels thread is returning. While we mourn our brown leader, its good seeing others with bowel problems contributing in fine ways to society.

I wish my brother was around, as he would know what to do in your case. Sadly my brother Clarence and I have IBS but the other variety, and my heart goes out to you. I'm very sorry you have this problem, and hope someone will be kind enough to offer advice that can alleviate some of this perhaps.
