No, asshole. No significant employer wants to risk a visit from ICE or the IRS. Employers need plausible deniability and the cheapest and easiest way to accomplish that is to treat all employees the same way. That means full withholding, health benefits, the whole nine yards. All of these expenses are tax-deduxtible. Fines and income lost while serving prison sentences are not.

The EITC and ACCC are meanwhile available to all those who meet the criteria for taking them. There is no racial, birthplace, or citizenship component involved there. Of course, due to their inherent fear of any sort of contact with the system, actual illegals very often do not file a tax return, even if they would be due a refund as the result. Treasury is sitting on tens of billions of dollars worth of taxes that illegals paid in but will never receive a dime back from.

Virtually all students in Canada and significant Asian and European economies are at least bilingual from an early age. We are clearly not doing enough to keep up. Spanish is the de facto second language of the US already and it will only become moreso over time. We can't even handle that.

The numbers are only larger in the case of native-born because there are far more. It also doesn't include the illegal immigrants who are working for chinese or korean sweatshop restaurants where they don't ask for legal documentation or the house cleaners who work out of their home. If you add those up the unemployment rate is much lower.
