I have to confess that I listened to the Jack Diamond Show for a few minutes this am and have to admit that Jack and the crew are MUCH more entertaining now that TMOS. Mike should think about having a segment for callers to weigh in about whether they would "spend $20 to make someone elses life more joyous that week." Or it could be that a lot of people are on vacation, this being Spring Break and all. Or it could be that the number of posts today really isn't that much different than a typical day (over 20 so far), or it could be that people are waiting for fresh inane comments from Mike to talk about.

In any case, it is a sure thing that the Mike O'Meara show will not go the distance. Michael Hughes may have bought some time. But I imagine that this respite is incumbent upon Hughes to deliver a higher audience number...which simply is not going to happen.

I can't think of a less rewarding way to spend time than to trade barbs with Buzz and his ilk online... This forum, at least, is entertaining in part because most of us share an opinion on TMOS (and can thus share the joke). But when it comes to writing to the Mikes and Buzzes of the world (real or fake), there are a couple of things to remember:

1) They don't like us. (It's mutual.)

2) CBS Radio doesn't care. (However misguided the rest of their management decisions may be, a couple of internet forums obviously aren't cutting through the noise.)

3) Trying to hit them where they live (Facebook, twitter, whatever) isn't going to rankle them -- it's going to give them exactly what they want. Why give them the chance to release their frustrations? On-air strokes and heart attacks make better radio.

And as much as I'd like to see Buzz hitchhike back to Wichita, his last dime sucked away by the Libs he claims to love so much... he's got a point. Next time you've got something to say, take a minute to look it over before hitting "Post message," huh?

I totally agree with the post about Buzz. He is a typical condescending lib, and he is the first person who would stomp on free speech if he doesn't agree or it doesn't fit his liberal agenda. People like Buzz are the scariest people on the planet. They spout all this PC Crap and when someone disagrees then they are hate mongers.

If Buzz is so in love with his lefty buddies maybe he should take his bags over to Air America (If they are even still in business).....

WWLD - what would Letterman do? Buzz has a Letterman fetish, he has copied Letterman's speech pattern. If you listen to Letterman, and then listen to Buzz it is both revealing and scary. The way Buzz structures his speech from phrasing to cadence is pure Letterman. Remember that fued Buzz had with Liddy, when Liddy would take down Buzz's framed picture he liked to hang in the studio? Weird. I wonder if Letterman enjoys fisting?

I thought Rob(b) was Donnie G's best friend. Don even refered to Rob)b) as 'Best friend' during Don's final broadcast from JFK. I wonder how Rob(b) staying on with Mike has affected this relationship. I wonder if Mike harbors some resentment towards Rob(b) because of his closeness to Don.Does anyone else notice that Mike is sometimes short with Rob(b), and seems genuinely annoyed with him?

I will tell you that this year, I was a guest on MOM's show, as a contestant with about 8 others. We were in the conference room, and Joe had set up the wireless microphones. When Mike went to use one, it did not work as he expected, He shot Joe a look and threw the mic on the table and shook his head, he then gave Rob(b) a look which I interpreted as 'can't they do anything right?' He then said to all of them 'Meeting after the show..." Rob(b) seemed shaken, he picked up the mic, and told Mike that it was not switched on. Mike then said "we are still having a meeting'.
The vibe was definitely cement shoes and eggshell flooring.

I don't think Rob and Buzz like working with Mike. You can often hear the tension between them. They know how bad the show is. They saw how things were run with Don and how Mike is phoning it in but what other option do they have? VO work for Buzz? Another sidekick slot making less money for Rob?

Buzz and Rob(b) may have the worse broadcast jobs in DC. If they don't defend the show, no matter how lame it gets, MOM's gonna exact revenge.
