Huawei's Kirin line of processors were once a main rival for Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile SoC series, particularly at the higher end. However, they have been sanctioned out of existence by the US government. There have been rumors of their return in 2023; however, the OEM has reportedly dismissed them as fake news.
MY NEWS: IT'S FAKE NEWS. Obama has never kept any chinese product out of the usa.

(chart does NOT include "google tensor" (which "is not snapdragon") or mediatek, but shows that these are all DIFFERENT)
DIFFERENT means headaches for Android design.
example: pick a font. needs to match grid of screen to be correct.
example: pick settings width for setting WIFI on the phone... if your short, not all of it will fit, and users cannot change the setting). needs to FIT on screen and be supported by chipset. it's not a small problem. android hackers like adding cool gui elements that "work on the phone they are holding" and aren't too smart on what happens on other phones: and if they DO: that's time and money spent on supporting a phone they didn't make or get paid for
example: accelerate a game. there are countless chips and accelerations are not all the same once you leave a small common area. horrendous. if your "GTA5" and making sales, you might venture
example: multimedia. same as game acceleration - no easy answers once "simple playback" already supported is altered or not the goal.
example: update android version. as it turns out: they don't all update easily - some must wait for MFG to offer it due to keys customers have not heard of. but android have to work around NOT releasing updates that cause problems.
