there won't be a slow lane added: you'll be force to upgrade as usual with big tech rules (there are no rules)

GET OUT OF THE WAY!!

Apple. This would bring some resiliency to both companies’ supply chains, as neither would need to depend solely on advanced 3nm and 4nm chips being made in Taiwan

it would mean continually making "phone cracks" and throwing away more phones and big tech could still supply "the required upgrades" which they intently caused

not a problem

Android 13 launched just a few weeks ago

HOWEVER ...

Android 14 has already publically relesed it is ABANDONING CHIP (and ship)

They don't like EXYNOS (continually deride it), but are attacking their own kind.

IF YOUR SNAPDRAGON doesn't have ASIC support for "chosen features", you can't upgrade.

the upgrade? this year, in practically no time at all - fairly recent cell phones will but cut off*

despite the intently missing feature is purely optional to use

Windows 11 Is Causing Issues for AMD Ryzen 9 CPUs, Nvidia GPUs October 27, 2022 at 8:25 am

It’s not a good time to be a Windows 11 user with a new AMD high-end processor or Nvidia GPU.

(NOTE MICROSOFT 'BOUGHT' NVIDIA and offshored it, however the whole thing was stolen from Silicon Graphics - who sued and won)

it'd be illegal for microsoft to make an os favoring a video card it owns shares in*

however truth? microsoft doesn't do shit but take chinese binary uploads these days.

it's likely AMD that is behind and why nVIDIA isn't - is not due to Microsoft it's because they're asian. a pretty good explination if i must say so!

Is 3 nm the limit?

No. Science labs (trying to remember name) in California years ago produced 1nm chips.

but not for high production. but 1nm - very plausible

The typical "flagship" Android cell phone (samsung) uses:

Qualcomm SM8550-AC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)

just a year ago: 5nm

just 2 yr ago: 7nm

MEANWHILE, on the PC side ...

7 nm Intel, 5 nm AMD

(at 10 nm the Intel was faster than the 5nm amd, btw)

Intel® Core™ i9-13900T Processor, 24-core
36M Cache, up to 5.30 GHz

Intel® UHD Graphics 770 (putting some older nVidia to shame! they said it could never happen in an integrated graphic solution !!)

AMD is building the Ryzen 5 7600X on a 5 nm production process using 6,570 million transistors. (due to design, it isn't as fast as the Intel - nor is it 5nm everywhere)

Single threaded software performance on different architectures

(Intel hasn't been single core since i386 DX. stackoverflow is just as bad a liar as wikipedia - except always misinforming about technology)

that's TWO FALLICIES in one stackoverflow sentence. which "stackoverflow" calls so legitimate you are IP BANNED FOR LIFE if you cross their post. they call this "information from established persons" (euro assholes information attacking you)

24 for them, none for you

auto theft built into everything ...

cell phones: no data plan for you - 2 data plans simulateously for them (dual sim)

progress can also be: planning that some have it all, and others have 0

not saying it isn't worth it ... but ...

Intel NUC 13 Extreme RNUC13RNGI7 Barebone Kit $1,700 does NOT include memory, SDD. you have to go buy that separately. that put's same price as Mac Mini or more.

(apparently they are not competing with dell or HP)

(intel "kits" are notoriously expensive, especially advanced ones, but not reference boards asians steal from obsidiously. though NUC has not in the past been an expensive kit but just a low cost choice of small pc)

PROBLEM: mini-pc? MAXIMAL PROBLEMS getting linux video support working. and tablet screens don't just connect "that easy" unless you buy pricey inter-hardware

PC tablet has been a "want" by community. infact: samsung runs android 12. But also "Dex" (like X windows network transparency except compatible with non-X devices).

Android 12 "has a unix" that can be, through google play, extended to be "like linux".

Samsung Galaxy TAB 4 (4 not 8!!!). Samsung worked with Canonical to get Ubuntu 16.04 LTS running in Linux on DeX, which will be the only officially supported distro during the beta. that may have been "intently shut off".

Apple also has shut down access to their unix terminal for tablets also. dell runs Win10 - which actually is "more open" comparably.

Google's x86 chrome for PC "does it's best to prevent any familiar unix access" except through google play. (easy to crack btw, done it!)

The problem here with mini pc ... is that cell phones are already powerful enough to power a TV to be a PC.

(junk firestick argument aside, they are not sufficient)

but mini pc ... well. if you want a full linux win10. you might still run one. it's more likely you'd want to hack an existing "highly multimedia supporting tablet" to crack open adb and let you "run unix ubuntu whatever". BUT THAT'S ALLOT OF WORK

the answer here is: the market has intently shut out the consumer from well known goals

neither tablet nor mini-pc will satisfy the quite expected goal easily

BREAKING NEWS: Best Buy Walmart attempting to topple Dell, HP

http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/3994517.html

So this shows something interesting.

Not only is Dell playing dead in retail (Bush Jr. gov contracts is why) ...

production is super low - lower than ever

the new "chrome books" are slower and have HALF THE MEMORY of HP netbooks from 10 years ago

how could those be "about the only choice in Best Buy"

EASY: CHINESE CORRUPTION, and that the production of this new tech BIG TECH is making claims on is in SUPER LOW PRODUCTION. it "exists" buy you can't touch it.
