Let's look at the last time Fairfax County Department of Public Works had to resolve a highway maintenance situation. Everyone remembers the hay truck fire on 66 westbound during rush hour this past summer. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fairfaxcounty/5915478035/in/set-72157627147021762/ Fairfax County Many people including myself believe the county took an inordinate amount of time to reopen the

Move to an apartment where the heat is free or provided centrally by the landlord. Just be sure to check the lease to make sure they aren't going to scam you with some fee at the end of the heating season for high energy costs. Now of course if it is centrally provided then you run the risk that it will either be cold as shit if the landlord is jewish or hot as shit if your neighbors complain th

In Richmond, anything that is not bolted down will be stolen in 24 hours or less. The Richmond Times-Dispatch says that the truck was stolen near the Virginia Center Commons mall, which is literally adjacent to State Police Division Headquarters. State Police on the job.

Any idiot could have predicted this. Lanes are narrow, they have solid lines dividing them so it is a surprise when someone changes lanes because others don't expect it. The acceleration lanes are too short and end in jersey barriers so people have to cut over fast. The orange signs that have replaced the green exit signs are confusing and much too small to be read easily. And of course GPS's w

The gas tax is unfair because any fucker who drives a Prius or other fuel-efficient car pays less tax then someone who drives a Ford Excursion, even if they use the road the same amount. Tolls are much better. As long as they put in EZ Pass express lanes then all will be well.
