I remember as a child going to Krogers in Pittsburgh. But they got rid of them as well in the 80's. Now they only have Giant Eagle which use to be Kroger's competition. But I prefer Wegmans over Giant/Safeway or Krogers any day.

Being sick is no fun. Having bronchitis back in September only to get it again thanks to my niece who was sick before Christmas only to have it again. And to this day still not feeling well. On top of everything else only to end up with bell palsy. And I am not 100% recovered from that as well. But its better than it was before.

Lake Fairfax, but its more if you have children. But get there when they open either at 9 or 10am. Once full it may take a while to get in. You can always go to Bush Gradens, Water Park USA if its still called that. I think there is one called Grey Wolf Lodge, But I am sure if you googled water parks in Northern Virgina, or just Virginia water parks, you might find a list of them.

Reston Town Center has some shops and places you can dine. May want to check out Leesburg either off of rte 15 or rte 7. May want to try Gainesville. Brambleton near Ashburn.
