I think that is a gigantic leap of an assumption. Based on a short mention a week or two ago, Don did away with the yearly subscription just out of simplicity. You put in your credit card and get billed monthly, no more options. They had the fuck-up with RELM so Don gave all yearlys the rest of the year free even though RELM took the money. That year is up, so now everyone should be paying him again. I got the impression that Don was only simplifying the process. Don can be lazy here and there, but not in any way that really affects his show. Same can't be said for the TMOS crew.

I just renewed, and was surprised to see this. However, he sort've adressed it on the 2/11 podcast, when he talked about podcast economics (and questioned the free/affiliate model). Don got screwed last year by RELM, as they kept all of the upfront fees (including mine). So instead of taking a chance on anything like that again, he just has the month-to-month.

I'd say it's riskier for him to not take the large cash infusion at once.

Following the dog park story, another great tale by Blob(b). Today, he "cheated death" because the fire alarm went off at the studio. That's the story. Took 15 minutes to tell. Usually LFF just rambles on about some crap, it seems like they're trying to force everyone to bring something to the table. Blob(b)'s life is so incredibly uninteresting that he typically doesn't contribute for weeks at a time, this is not an upgrade.

If I were him I wouldn't give the Krew a fucking thing. It's his page, he started it, he's the admin. They have ZERO rights to it, they have no right to demand access to anything. Tell Oscar to pound sand. If they don't like it, they can start their own fan page. Oscar wants in so he can squash any form of negative comments. Also, did Oscar actually contact SDM privately and ask/talk to him? Because if they just started posting about how they wanted in like that, then that's completely unprofessional. But I'd expect nothing less from them. LFF will never realize that he can't just bully his way through life.

Exactly. Oscar, precisely how is a closed fan page affecting your downloads, subs, etc.? Do you really believe any remotely negative comment or question causes these die-hard, don't-change-a-thing-about-TMOS superfans to stop listening, downloading and subscribing?
