I also use DoggCatcher. It's nice, I can set it to not autodownload TMOS, so I don't have to download the 5MB Bonus Show tease or the Tony Perkins show unless I want to. Trying to push a podcast-specific app is so fucking terrible. To not have generic authentication on an rss feed/mp3 download is insane. I use the LG HBS730. Bluetooth stereo and handles all phone functions. Also is able to use voice commands right from the headset. I can walk halfway across the house away from the phone and it doesn't lose the signal. I'll do an hour in the gym then run and the battery has never gone dead on me. Really great stuff. Of course it does help if your phone is A2DP optimized. I use a Nexus 5 that has Bluetooth v4.0.

Yeah, Downcast for IOS is great. I had tried the native IOS podcast app, but downcast is much more streamlined. There is absolutely no need to download native apps for specific podcasts. Are there banner ads or anything in the TMOS app? That's the only reason I can think of as to why they would be pushing it so hard. I wonder how much money Oscar and Tomo charge MORE Broadcasting to create these apps. We'll all just have to listen harder/shop harder on Amazon to help pay for them! I finally get it!!!

I listen on an iPhone using the Podcasts app, typically listening in the car. I agree that I usually have to max out the volume on both the phone and the car to hear it well.

I think the big push for the TMOS app is to encourage people to buy the bonus package since it is now easier to get the bonus shows that way. That and the fact that their Amazon link is right on it. Not going to download it, don't need to waste the space on my phone.

This is exactly why I check in here a couple times a day and use the show as weekend filler for the most part. Peekza accused of multiple personalities on this thread, if he actually is, he has more talent than TMOS and BOAD combined in his left leg. I've always had the volume problem too, trying to listen in the car. So I went Bluetooth route, added bonus, no one knows you're listening to something else when they're talking to you.
