I read a story and I saw a KCJJ Ustream video with Jerry Mathers a while back. Mathers was overweight and he had diabetes. The doctor gave him the same speech that LFF received. You need a lifestyle change and you need to lose wight, or you will die.
Mathers was pro active from that point on. He didn't make any excuses and he followed a strict diet. He didn't blame almonds, mayonnaise, genetics, peach cobbler, etc. He is still alive today.
