Or when he belittled Buzz for pointing out basic relationships between elevation and horizon distance.

But don't be too hard on Buzz for being a pussy. He can't weigh but a buck-fiddy, and if he pissed off LFF enough, LFF might lunge at Buzz, blow out his knee, and squash him like a seal pup under a wallowing, waddling bull.

Yeah, for whatever reason, that kid still wears the mittens.

Sometimes, when kids are very young (the first five-six months of life) their nails get to the point where they can scratch themselves but they're still too young to have them clipped safely, thus the mittens.

Mike's kid looks a tad too old to have them on anymore, but what do I know? I'm not a neglectful, arrogant, drunkard, selfish person like Mike O'Meara is.

His wife must love that and I am sure his kids are real proud of him.

Who wouldn't love a father who doesn't work or support the family getting drunk and spending hours upon hours online with complete strangers that he thinks are his friends.

That man is a winner!

Here you go Robb, a fresh listing of job openings at your wife's company as of nine o'clock this morning. Why don't you be a man and get a job there and start supporting your family. You and your wife can even carpool to save money. If your wife can hold down a 9 to 5 in retail, there is no reason you can't.

There are some problems with Robb taking one of those Jones' jobs. First, he is too incompetent to assistant manage anything, including his own life. Second, professional people with some sense of fashion shop there. Do you really think someone like that would buy clothes from Robb? Finally, Robb would eventually be fired. Odds are that would cost Cary her job, too.

Other jobs Robb can't do...

- Cashier (I doubt he can count change and you know he would try to be a fucking comedian while the line grows)
- Garbage man (he is physically incapable)
- Shelf stocker (you know he would put the wrong stuff in the wrong place and generally not get anything done)

Fact is, outside of flipping burgers or being a really bad janitor, Robb isn't qualified to do anything.

What was that faux-German place they went to in Vegas? Hofbrau Haus? The guy there they mocked? Robb could do that job. If there was a bowtie that would fit in with the uniform, Robb would be happy. Wonder if health code would permit him to wear his beloved Birkenstocks. Maybe with socks, which I am sure he does.

Whatever Carla's issues are, she seems to be an attentive mother. I don't think Mike Jr has mittens on for his nails. My guess is LFF insists he wears mittens when he holds him because babies have a tendency to grab things with their fingers, like mustaches, goatees and creased earlobes.

I doubt flipping burgers would be a good job for Robbbbb. It is a hot and difficult job. Long hours standing, pressure, bad conditions, constant working. No, that would not do.

I think Mike and Robbbb would be good at clown work. Like Shakes the clown. Kid shows, birthday parties and special events where they dress up outside a new strip mall business with balloons and big shoes and carnations that squirt water. Stuff like that. They could also do it really drunk like Shakes did. Say dirty things to the moms etc. Pee in the flower garden. Just need some LIFE SAVERS to cover the breath, a flask and you're good to go. $15/hr.

Mike would definitely enjoy this kind of work. It would allow him access to many young women to satisfy his pedophilic tendencies . He might even meet wife #4, although he would have to wait a few years until she turned 18 to marry her...

Rob is a pathetic excuse for a husband, father, and man. He admits he can't support a family on his 1 hour a day job and what does he do? Play radio show in his basement instead of getting a regular job. This wouldn't normally piss me off as much, but Rob has a tendancy to make fun or put down people with real jobs. I remember when he made a smarky comment on a listener who wrote in, wrote in to say good things about the show, and Spewak just puts down the guy's job. What an ass.

The Failcast is basically a hobby. If they really loved doing it, they could figure a way to do it while working a full-time job. Heck, if they really have "hours of prep," there's this thing called "part-time" jobs.

No. The reason they are passionate about the Failcast is that it is an excuse to sit on their asses and pretend they are working. For that I blame Carla and Cary for enabling this behavior and not putting a foot up their husbands' fat asses.

I am sick of both Mike and Rob pretending to be poor and screwing over their listeners.

The fact is that both Mike and Rob made a lot of money at WJFK and Rob was making mid six figures when he took over for Don. Cary Spewak is pulling in six figures in upper management at her retail job.

Rob's bought his "little townhouse" March 2009 for over $330,000.

If neither of them want to work because they feel they have enough money, fine, but stop lying to the listeners and acting like if they don't send in money they won't be able to feed their families.

Stop pretending to be poor.

(Rob's almost half a million dollar house)

How dare we make fun of Rob when he truly sets high goals for himself, such as being the MC of middle-school talent shows. Can you imagine being the parent of one of Rob's kid's classmates? Every time there's a talent show at the school, you have to put up with insufferable Rob and his schtick, because he's the guy throwing his hand up in the air like a crazed 1st-grader when the teacher/principal/PTA mom sends out the letter asking if anyone will volunteer to host the event. When you're a parent going to these shows, it should be a nice little event in which you see your kid and his/her classmates do some cute song-and-dance routines. You suffer through the other kids' routines waiting for your own kid, everyone takes their video, and then you go home. Can you imagine dealing with Rob being the MC for these dopey school shows? He probably has a boner the entire time. "I GET TO WEAR MY TUX AND USE MY SOPHISTICATED DJ EQUIPMENT THAT USUALLY SITS IN MY BASEMENT!" You'd have to suffer through all those bad puns and that jive DJ patter when all you want to do is see the kids perform and go home. Rob sees these shows as potential career builders. I'd love to have a nickel for every time a parent sitting in that auditorium says--upon Rob's appearance on the stage--"oh god, this guy? again? what a fucking clown."

An experienced manager at Target might break six figures. Someone managing a boutique like Jones is going to pull $50k, at best. Unless you are a senior manager in corporate, you will never see "mid six figures" in retail. As for the townhome, Robb already demonstrated a capacity to live beyond his means in McLean. I don't doubt he is over leveraged again in Leesburg.

I don't believe Mike was making mid-six figures after Don left. I think Robb might have received a modest pay increase with the change, but the decision to put Robb on mic was LFF's, not the powers-that-be at JFK. There's a certain mindset for people who have never worked in radio that being on-air requires the station to pay some sort of premium. I guarantee you there are people on JFK (overnights, weekends and fill-in) who are on-mic and getting paid less than $20-an-hour.

Sounds like Wobblegoo is in a 12 step program.

There is no way in hell Robbb ever made more than 60,000 at JFK. Those radio stations will pay on-air people almost minimum.

The townhouse? That is a sardine box. Are you kidding me? It's a kennel.

Management at the local Target or equivalent? About $45,000 - $55,000

Mike's salary after Don left and CBS already knew they were going to pull the plug? About $125,000.

Yes, they ARE poor.

Still though? I've seen several children wearing them...just not that old...Did he inherit the eczema from Mike? Thanks for the shitty genes Dad...

I wish you losers would stop with the cracks about Robb's home life. Don't stir up trouble in a marriage. Semms to me that he and his wife are raising lovely and decent kids. Some commenting on and critizing their finances. This is a terrible economy and like many of us, they're doing the best they can.

I think FDB basically said that's where the kid got it from. Hopefully skin tags skip a generation. I wonder how many pediatricians LFF has gone Full Mike on.

Early on, they said Blob(b) was the only one making more on the Failcast than he ever did at JFK, so I think that indicates where his salary maxed out in corporate radio. I think in the "introduce yourself" portion of the "Cake and Cookie" show, he implies he is going strong in a 20+ year streak of being a radio professional in the DC market. Pathetic isn't really a strong enough word, but at least he knows how to set the bar low.

This is an obviously false statement. Blob(b) Spewank is working a few hours a day. If the family was doing the "best they can", he would be picking up shifts somewhere else as well. He has commented multiple times about how amazing he is as a grocery checker, maybe he could do some nights or weekends at a Safeway or Giant. Instead, he sits alone in his basement, drinks, gets fat and plays on the internet. If that's his best work, he truly is in trouble.

Throughout my marriage, my wife has told me "I wish you could work less." I have a feeling Cary has never uttered those words to Robb.

Robb pulled down 42K the last time he was promoted to producer on the D&M show...His salary was cut to mid 20s when Don left...

You don't get approved for a $400k home loan on $42k or $20k take home pay. He also bought a new car at that time.

Let's face it, he was making fast and easy money and a lot of it.

First, by Robb's own admission Cary is the breadwinner and odds are she isn't breaking $50k. Second, the townhome isn't $400k, it's $300k and odds are, given the state of real estate a few years back, it was $200k when they moved in. Finally, do we know for sure they own it? Second, if they do, is it under Cary's name alone? Did her parents co-sign? There are all kinds if ways people can get into a house.

I, for one, think it's cool that Robb does these talent shows. Imagine if you listened to D&M growing up or commuting, never delved into the TMOS radio/internet morass, and one of the show characters mc'd your kid's talent show.

It's a lot more interesting than if the Vice Principal or jv basketball coach did it.

These guys consider themselves to be celebrities. They make a living (sort of) by taking cheap shots at other celebrities. Examples:

Vignettes making fun of Wayne Newton's financial difficulties
Making fun of Alec Baldwin fighting with his daughter
David Hasselhoff's drunken cheeseburger video recorded by his daughter.
The Kardashian family mess.
Don and Mike making fun of Max Baer/Jethro for cashing in on Beverly Hillbillies
D&M making fun of Leah Remini's webcast
Don G announcing Janeane Garofalo's earnings on various projects
Tony Bennett's alleged herpes
Bing Crosby beating his kids.
Danny Thomas and Raymond Burr and their alleged sexual proclivities

They even make fun of non-celebrities, like the "brave" woman attacked by the monkey. And they're not above embarrassing their own kids, spouses, etc for the show. Being a teenager these days is hard enough; would you want your dad discussing all your experiences on a podcast?

What goes around comes around.

I wish they all would leave their kids out of their podcasts. I didn't like Don G bragging up Bart, and I could care less about the current krewe's kids. King Michael gets a pass so long as they just talk about the challenges of taking care of a baby in today's world. But don't tell me how precious/beautiful he is. Parents loving their kids is just boring.

One of Robb's proudest moments is when his daughter found some racially insensitive music for the show. He might be the best father of the bunch, but he could still use some fine tuning. Personally, I think Pony Boy shows the best parenting skills, based on his discussions about his sugar gliders.

I could certainly do without another talent show recap...Hitting the uke once per verse isn't a talent...It is as sad as a grown man wearing a TUX to emcee it because he is in "show business"...

Can't tell you the difference of going to a talent show where the emcee just introduces the kids and one where the emcee goes on and on. This stuff is torture and the only reason parents are there is to see their kids and suffer through the rest of the program until they can leave and get the kid an ice cream cone. Nobody wants to hear a jackass try to be funny. It must be like hearing nails on a chalk board when Robb opens his mouth.

Thanks for posting!!! Listening to that reminded me that Marc kissd Mike's ass as much, if not more than Robb. Also Buzz really made that show tolerable.

The fact that he shows up wearing a Tux because he is in "show business" is sadder than his wife having to support the entire family while he plays make believe on the ground floor of his Town house...

Exactly. As a parent, you go to a school variety show to see your kid and you deal with having to hear the other kids. That's the deal that you've come to expect and live with. You do NOT go to hear a wannabe DJ in a tux, making the show about him ("hey everybody, look at me, I used to be on the radio!"). And you know Rob makes it all about him...just the fact that he would wear a tux is all you need to know. He reminds me of the jackoffs in the announcers' booths that I suffered with when my kids played HS soccer and lacrosse. I loathed going to some schools just because I knew they had an idiot Dad doing full-on play-by-play (complete with cheering for the home side) when all he was supposed to be doing from the booth was announcing substitutions, goals scored, etc. Some guys, however, would just yap through the whole fucking game. If Rob's kids somehow are good enough to play HS sports (and let's face it, the genes are against those poor kids), you can be damn sure that Rob will be salivating at the idea of grabbing the mic at their games, even if it means having to bone up on whatever sport he'd be announcing. Hey, it's showbiz!

At best, he was 3rd Mic on a failed radio show...I love the fact that he says he has been in radio for 20+ years more than the Tux and Cary having to support everybody working retail...

1. doing short sale on 1903 Victorian
2. does fewer shows
3. constantly travels
4. constantly buys $5 PPV's
5. goes new car shopping

WTF O'Meara get a clue; lazy fat piece of shit

Maybe Mike still has credit cards with credit limits from the old days. Except now he just runs up the balance with travel, gambling and other frivolous spending. Carla better start making more money or else Junior is going to be in rags.

I love how Robb plays The Beatles "Julia" for his daughter. Yes, I know that's his kid's name. But anyone who knows anything about Lennon knows he had an Oedipus complex when it came to his mom, Julia. The song is full of insestuous sexual innuendo. It's kind of fucked up Robb would dedicate that song to his own kid.

Is that really Katie? Judging from her voice I thought she was 15 and thin. That woman looks 38 and heavyset.

Junior already looks to be in rags--some sort of shitty Harley headband, some sort of shitty tattoo tshirt, and some sort of ragtag finger condoms! Good Luck, Junior!

Worse yet, LFF wearing Failcast merchandise in that pic; I guess if he can't sell it, he might as well get some use out of it.
