Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Thankfully just the open was about the shootings. The next 20 minutes were LFF's typical sports nonsense. 30 minutes in and not a shred of entertainment. In the remaining time before the end of the show, a.k.a. The news segment, there were a few interesting tidbits. LFF's Sunday Weight Not lunch: shepherd's pie and sweet tea at Whole Foods. Because meat pie covered in mashed potatoes is a great way to slim down. And Kappy apparently shelled out some serious cash for LFF to take his child bride out to dinner. He said "1% Restaurant" at least a dozen times. Pheasant, caviar, sea bass and copious amounts of wine are also A-OK on the Weight Not Plan. The main thing he focused on from the dinner was his sheer jealousy of anyone who can afford to eat there. He singled out some guy who was there with his family. Calling him a "doughy hump" and saying he wanted to pour his wine on the guy. He never really explained what the guy did that was so horrendous. Real healthy. Then he goes over at the end of dinner and tells the guy how well behaved his daughter was. What the fuck, who does that? Grade-A creepy grandpa.

Mike has an irrational hatred within him. It grosses me out. To the extent that I could take my family out to a nice restaurant, better believe I busted my ass to pay for it.
Country club membership having, Maine vacation home summering, Florida vacation home wintering, dozens of luxury imports owning, Harley riding, trophy wife marrying, private school attending, son of an insurance executive hypocrite. His class warfare stuff really burns me.
It is apparently lost on him that his meal cost the same as the "entitled" person at the next table.
Quick side note on Mike making it about himself: I think we've heard enough stories that it has become clear that Mike has to make a scene of lauding people for having a quiet kid, or some other regular thing, on his way out of restaurants. No wonder he expected plaudits from strangers at his kid's graduation dinner.

He simply has to make other people's children "All about Him", how else would he do it?
Mike doesn't get how difficult law school is. They don't just hand out those degrees - or those big-time DC law firm jobs. 12+ hour days, brother. You don't get to be a good attorney's goofball sidekick and make millions. Fuck him.

That's the old joke about the guy who shovels the elephant crap in the circus parade. One of the spectators asks him if it's a tough job -- he responds that it's awful, between the stink, the flies, and the heat. So why not quit? "What, and leave show business?"
The failcast is Rob(b)'s thin, thin, thinning, thread connecting him to his fantasy life of not being an assistant assistant manager at some insurance company. Either that, or a blue or orange vest.

I love that he thinks being an intern is a career...CK started as Robb's underling, now he has a legitimate career in radio...If Robb hadn't been such a dick, Robb could still be working at JFK...His career consisted of being tied to a tree and shouting racist remarks of mic...Tom Gavin could have had his career...

True, but at least DeAngelo draws an actual paycheck...Mike just begs for $ and then steals it from his co-workers...
"The good news is you have a magnificent estate. The bad news is you're slightly over-extended."
Followed by AHAHAHAH!
That's where I turned it off. I've started listening to the first 5 minutes of each show just to hear the horribly unfunny punch line. It's mind blowingly bad. Like to the extent that I question humanity's future if this is the level of intelligence of people out there. How could anyone find that funny? It's like going to an open mic night but at least the crowd lets horribly unfunny people die on stage, they don't fake laugh and applaud the hack on stage. I hope the state theatre collapses during the live show. Humanity's intelligence will raise at least 5 percentage points.

The fact that he thinks it's a career is funnier than anything he has ever uttered on or off mic

"It's called Lets Call Saul?" - Robb

Oscar thinks Glover Park is "right in the heart of the city." Oscar and Fat Drunk Baby both thought the Navy Yard was on Massachusetts Avenue. Pathetic.
Now I'm waiting to hear how FDB makes it all about him. His father (aka "Bad Sperm") was in the navy, you know.
Now Fuckwaddle is talking about his restaurant experience. Dick.
Another disappointing but not surprising show.

I don't believe for a minute that they're ahead of pace on selling tickets for the State Theater show. Sounds like spin when they immediately beg people to buy faster.

Can now name The Jerry Game (old D&M bit from the MDS telethon) The FDB or LFF Game? This last one is very Lewis-like..

Jesus. Okay, for you "tech gurus" who think you understand how Mail Chimp works.
The email contains code for an image. The image lives on the Mail Chimp server. When a user opens the email, it pings the server to pull up the image. Hence, the email is now open.

If you received the VIP email, mark it as SPAM in your email program! MailChimp has a very low threshold for spam reports and it will make Mike's life hell!!
Haven't seen anyone here mention that Joe Ardinger joined the RELM network. Joe has been talking shit about omeara for years on Facebook. Omeara made a few snide comments about Joe, but ignored him for the most part. This cannot be more of a sign of the massive rift between buzz/Marc and omeara. One of the first things they do is hire a guy that talks shit about mike every week. Too bad absolutely everybody involved are massive pussies and nobody will talk about it.
I love the Facebook post. LFF knows more about the pain of the Navy Yard shooting than the two asshat fans on lockdown at the facility. Just tells you how fucking stupid these listeners are that they are listening to that fat fuck bloviate about the situation like he is the one on lockdown and they are the ones sitting at home listening. Dumbshits.
Mike is a shit head for many, many reasons as stated here in various and hilarious ways. So when Buzz and Marc left, I felt the need to support them in their new ventures. I like the Buzzcast for the most part and listen to it daily. I gotta say, however, that I just can't hang with the M&L show. Maybe if I were Jewish, perhaps if I went to camp with them, or were somehow otherwise personally involved with them I would get the humor. But I'm not and I don't. They seem to be nice guys but they seem to only be funny to their friends and family. The bonus shows are no better than the regular shows. I hope they do well because it would be a big "fuck you" to O'Meara but I don't see them growing unless they shake things up. They might save themselves with an all out feud with TMOS. Of course Buzz, being the non-confrontational pussy he continues to be (sorry Buzz but the truth hurts) would not participate so they would have to do it on their own. I'm not sure what RJ would contribute even though O'Meara has probably shit on him more than the others. They have made mention that Rob was a real asshole to them early on but have not elaborated. Say or think what you want about Marc but you have to concede he has some balls. He and Lowell were being berated (by Don Geronimo) as teenage interns over not wanting to shave their heads and while Lowell was cowering and saying nothing Marc stood up to Geronimo and called him a "loser". When Buzz heard the story naturally he disagreed with the way Marc reacted but that took guts. Geronimo was a powerful ahole in those days and not many adults (ie Buzz) could trade with him. Anyway M&L, people would like to support you but your current show has run it's course. We've met all the wacky friends, heard all the camp stories, herad all the inside lingo, and now you gotta up your game. It would be a huge shot in the arm for both shows actually. Sometimes it seems like you do the show simply for your friends and family and if that's the case that's fine. But Marc, you are going to have to get a real job because you aren't going to make any money doing it that way. You are simply not going to attract any new listeners with the same tired formula. Come on, I'm rooting for ya!
I went over to the RELM website, bc I hadn't heard the Ardinger news. They are adding more shows. The RELM network is exactly what MORE should and could have been.
Adding Joe makes it a lot of Son and/or ex-pats though.
So, which came first, Dick Quesey, or Stinky's? This picture was taken within the last week in Bar Harbor, right around the corner from O'Meara's family home in Maine.

If anyone needs any proof that Mike is more of a podcaster than a broadcaster, this news should be it:

It's because LFF is stupid, despite his AU degree. Move to a smaller market in Florida. Jack Diamond did it. Kirk did it. Fuck, LFF even has a house down there! How much of a stupid, lazy hump do you have to be not to read the writing on the wall? Are they afraid Carla can't find another receptionist job? Are they concerned Robb might actually have to work at a real job (garbage man?) to provide for his family?

Yup. Jack Diamond, who (while a pompous blowhard) was a broadcasting professional who showed up every goddamned day and would attend the opening of an envelope to promote his show. HE has to retreat to Florida to get a real gig. Compare and contrast to LFF, who can't be bothered to walk down the stairs in his own house . . .
I don't mind complimenting the show when it does hav entertaining moments. That said, yesterday's show migh have been the worst one yet. 10 minutes making the navy yard incident all about himself. Twenty minutes of Redskins talk where Robb pretended to have watched. He openly admitted that he listened to his juke box while his wife and kids watched last Monday night! Zero chance he saw one minute of that game. Plus Mike's analysis was about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Then 20 minutes on his dinner out at the 1% restaurant (which he must have mentioned a dozen times) where he talked shit about an overweight man there with his family (pot, kettle, etc.) Then news and vault. Holy hell what a suckfest

What an asshat. I bet he thought nobody would ever know...
I certainly don't disagree with the general sentiment of Mike's post about the shooting, but I find the way he writes about things like this infuriating.
I can only imagine how pleased with himself that he was after writing that post. Based on the "letters" to his kids and other items that he reads on the podcast, it's clear he fancies himself quite a writer.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
His sentences are poorly phrased and full of punctuation errors. The general tone of the post in question is so pompous and overdone that it completely overshadows the message.
His writing reminds me of a middle school student using words and phrases he's overheard during conversations between adults.
Mike, you are not a great write; in fact, you are not even a good one.
Perhaps you should stick to outdated impressions, bitching and eating.

Is he still threatening to write a book? Let's imagine for ONE SECOND that he has the discipline to sit down for (at least) a couple of hours a day to write something. On a computer that he can barely operate. How long (not long) before it turns into him dictating to Rob(b) . . . and how long before they're just giggling over YouTube videos. Over/under on maximum pages actually written EVER, now or in the future: 20.
Well, we all know Buzz will take this opportunity to talk about guns and how bad they are ahow he is a nice guy, etc, etc. He will ignore certain facts and form news to his liking.
Mike was outraged, SHOCKED someone though his posting was about guns, because, you know, Mike never goes off about guns. Were we to believe Mike would not talk about guns after this incident?
DwokkaDwokka Wrote:

> Is he still threatening to write a book?
Well, IIRC, that was to be ghost written by some dude they dragged on the poopcast to promote the concept, hasn't been mentioned since AFAIK.
Standard LFF process to be expected - too lazy to return writers emails, won't pick up phone calls, will eventually pick a fight and scrub the whole project after writer realizes there is little demand for a book titled "Entitled ass who shit on everything that was handed to him."
+1 on Mondays diarrhea-cast, FF'd it to the label in 30 seconds, went back just to verify that, like Friday's abortion, it was almost all promotional content with a little "Me theater" for extra worthlessness.
The "book" will recount the fall of O'Meara and will be published as an honest look into his failure as a brodacaster, father and human being. This of course all a result of Mike's inability to actually assist with the "book".

So did Mike start the show railing against guns, or people who said he would rail against guns? How did this attack on his hometown make him feel, was he upset because he used to spend a lot of time in SE?

So, he's accepted that he'll never get laid again? It's a time-saver, anyway. Probably a cash-saver, too. He won't spend money on women who will, inevitably, laugh at him.

Small victory. When LFF was discussing how much he disliked his anniversary dinner experience (Thanks, Kappy!), Robb commented that his displeasure was "literally,.... no, not literally,...." hanging over his head during the dinner.
Hi Robb! Thanks for reading the forum. Only took 200+ pages to correct your misuse of the word. Baby steps.

This drives me up the damn wall. Robb will take pains to set up a story, laying out all the basic info beforehand, and Mike will make sounds of acknowledgement like he's following along....but then when Robb finally gets to the meat of the story, Mike needs everything repeated or confirmed.
Is it deafness? Attention deficit disorder? Does anyone associated with the show know how fucking irritating it is for Robb to have to go through everything *again* because Mike didn't pick up on it the first time? If Mike can't be bothered to pay attention to his own show, why should anyone else?
"If Mike can't be bothered to pay attention to his own show, why should anyone else?"
He won't pay attention to it and he won't listen to it. Tells me a lot about how he feels about the show. He doesn't want to be doing it, he is annoyed to be having to do it and he thinks it a big bowl of fine the way it is.

Pass the pie. And the low-carb ice cream, which he hates, but will still shovel down his gullet.
I'm not sure if its because I rarely listen to more than 5 minutes in a row of the show anymore, but it seems like Oscar has curtailed the horrible laugh. Seems like he's slowed down as soon as people here started seriously railing him for his annoying laugh.
Of all the people on the show, I would guarantee that Oscar would be the only one likely to check this site. He's a moron, but he's the only one on the show with even the slightest business acumen. I'm sure he realizes that this site could actually be somewhat valuable to a show. Negative feedback is usually more helpful than the lemmings who love everything you do. You'll never improve the product if you filter out any negative comments and only allow positive.
This is now the only site where people can voice their displeasure. If you do it on their website, the comment isn't posted, if you do it on their Facebook, you're blocked and deleted. This is the only venue left for negative comments.
Listen, it's time for some serious discussion here. You people all hate Mike. Fine. Live your life. Why spend so much time bringing Mike and the rest of the crew down? I get that you don't think what we do is funny, but there are plenty of people out there who do. The podcast is downloaded all over the world. The State Theatre is more than half sold-out already for the upcoming show. There are more premium members of the website than you know. (Talk all you want about subscriber numbers, but the fact is, none of you have access to those numbers.)
Why make yourself miserable? Why not make yourself happy? Stop listening. It's not hard. Go listen to your precious Adam Corolla or Sean Hannity or whoever you do like.
You don't really know if Mike gains weight or loses weight, you don't really know if Robb likes football or not. You don't know if Mike and Robb and Buzz are friends or not. You don't know how Oscar really treats his woman. This is a show. If you're gullible enough to believe that everything said on the show is real true life, you're dumber than you act. It's a show. There are bits and there is plenty of embellishment. The people who do the show seem to enjoy it. The people who subscribe to the bonus content seem to enjoy it, too. So why don't you people just step off and leave them the hell alone?

Nope, you're wrong...We DO know that Mike isn't losing weight, and in fact is gaining back what he lost...AGAIN...We can see it in his fat face...

If you recall, prior LFF apologists told us that every post here makes LFF money.
So this fan is just generating income for the failcast . . . how, we don't know.

Today's show opens with some hump writing about how he felt bad 20 years ago but Mike O'Meara got him through the PTSD and now he's ... wait for it... a cop. Wonnnnnnderful.
While this letter was being read the intro tune from the newly-downloaded Don Geronimo show came on in my earphone. THAT was wonderful.
FDB feels he needs to spell out that USAF stands for US Air Force probably because someone had to spell it out for him (his father invented the navy and he didn't know that LtJG stands for Lieutenant Junior Grade).
Then another hump claims that he shot and killed a guy with his handgun from 75 yards away. Sure. It totally happened that way.
Fat Drunk Baby reminds all that he has a lot of friends in law enforcement.
