And not just incompetence, arrogance as well. LFF is completely sure he is right, even after being proven incapable of the smallest technological task time and time again. He actually thinks he knows better than the other three people in that room.

If a problem exists on other devices, then the problem is not with the device.

LFF is a big, dumb load.

Why I love Mike:

He was referred to the Apple Store in Tyson's Corner as the "seat of entitlement" in the world.

He then state he is going to march in there without an appointment and demand they fix or replace his laptop.

These Apple saga episodes are genuinely - though ironically - entertaining. I laughed and enjoyed it. Unlike other Mike hypocrisy, I didn't get angry at him or even at the underling caving in.

I'm tired of fast forwarding through the opener though. Every other podcast that requires FFing has been deleted from my iTunes, but I'm 18 (!) years deep with Mike. Please, Mr. O'Meara, give us your best foot forward.

Mike took credit for starting the Dane Cook hate today. "I really ran point on the Dane Cook hate thing". That's right Mike. It's all about you.

Also, one of the interns seems to be done. The non-pony boy one. Oscar explained it as a large work-load in school, but I guarantee there were other issues as well, ie working for free for a fat piece of shit that yells at you when he breaks his own stuff and a snarky, spineless, stab you in the back at the first opportunity formerly fat/formally skinny douche.

The birthday segment has always sucked and its worse now that Robb is running it. To really punctuate the awfulness of the segment, Robb writes "now Robb start the show, you hump" for Mike to read at the end of the birthday page. Every, fucking, time. I don't know if this is laziness (Robb can't be bothered to write a new way out of the segment) or if its Robb thinking how damn funny it is and how everyone is going to want to hear it again and again. I'm leaning toward the latter.

Re: The Mike O'Meara Show

So I have been running a small survey to see if we on this board are out to lunch with our complaining and negativity towards the cast and show.

I had 18 friends and co-workers involved. 9 listen more then 3 times a week to podcasts, 4 listen to talk radio mostly and the rest mostly music.

I asked them all to listen to the show for two weeks and tell me what they thought.

Results==

11 stopped listening between 1-4 days and were turned off by Mikes asshole attitude and the lack of humor and entertainment.

3 stopped after a week, no entertainment value and found the sound effects and laughing overwelmimg as well as Mike and his father of the year attitude.

The rest suffered through the two weeks but would not recommend or ever listen again.

No-one will continue listening and no-one would reccommend itto others.

There you go MORE network hard core research you guys are to lazy to do. The bill is in the mail.

So I guess we on this board are on the money when it comes to our complaints and our way to help fix it.

I TRIED HARDER MIKE, NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!!!!

They've said on the show that over half of the VIP morons haven't opened the email with their pre-buy code. That means that half of the people that give them money probably deleted the email before they even opened it. That's not a good sign. I really think the show is in for a rude awakening when their subscriptions in the new year drop significantly.

On today's show, Mike professed that he's in the money because his daughter has now decided to major in psychology with a minor in business (as opposed to majoring in psychology with a minor in theater).

I guess he's oblivious to the fact that psychology is one of, if not the worst majors, in terms of both job prospects and starting salaries.

This is indicative of the sheltered life Mike has lived. Why should he know? Granted, he's talented, but he's extremely lucky in his career.

I'm sure 4 years from now we'll hear excuses about how his intelligent educated daughter can't find a job.

Mikes daughter is screwed. She's going to graduate with thousands in debt and get a job that pays less than some fast food places. And the work sucks. Take a look at the people who work bachelor degree psych jobs. They're all very young because after working crap jobs for peanuts people either go to grad school or shoot off to a completely new career path. I feel bad for. She's probably all excited and everyone will be when she graduates with honors. Then reality will hit when the student loans are due and she'll be making $11 an hour. I really hope she changes her mind.

I actually shop there, and the owner/manager's a nice guy. But no personality that I've ever noticed. I'm sure he's not a ball of fire on the failcast.

Like I think I wrote here another time, there's a brand-spanking new microbrewery in Manassas with real good beer -- Bad Wolf. I would bet anything that (a) they don't know they're there; and (b) they wouldn't bother to call them to get them on the failcast.

LFF literally, hand to god, had food in his mouth 75% of the show today. And that's just from listening. Oscar was trying to keep the sausage tray from him, but he kept demanding to have it passed back. That, plus several glasses of wine is a nice little Weight Not Friday. Gabe Strine should animate this show, with a running counter at the bottom for how many glasses of wine and slices of salami FDB consumes uncontrollably.

High quality bonus show this week. They read an advertisement for lube. FDB wants to put women in vibrating panties up on stage at the live show. More bad lists, including top 10 places men want to touched:

Saw Buzzito on that Mark Seagraves tv show recently buzz was fairly articulate. Something never heard on dons and mikes show or on the LFF "i can't do anything else so this is what I do" show. Buzz didn't really say anything outlandish but rather skillfully spoke to both sides of an issue when mark seagraves softballed him a question.
Still buzz is boring despite his days of swinging long long ago

Will LFF bring back CRAP for the state theatre show
will angie goff come to the show or maybe she's grown up just a little
who's going to do all the heavy lifting in organizing the show now that ronick is gone?
$25 for that shit I was curious once but not twice. besides giving tom gavin a ride home to his rather nice apartment in expensive tysons corner is enough for my lifetime

If Mike can't run a clean business and can't give people what they paid for, he needs to refund the money.

It is stealing.

Mike wouldn't like it if he paid for something and it was never delivered or produced.

I know that Mike might have to miss an afternoon or two of golf or a couple nights out drinking with Jimmy to produce what he promised, but he promised it and he needs to make good on his promise or refund the money to listeners.

Send an email to Paypal and the Attorney General about your complaint. They will take the issue up with Mike.

More tech nonsense from Fat Drunk Baby. There's no way to tell if someone's opened an email unless the sender and recipient are on a closed system like Lotus Notes.

FDB said "look in your spam!"

a. that's exactly where such mail belongs, and
b. how about making your mail not look like spam?
c. maybe this is the time to shoot Chronick some of those big FDB consulting dollars.

Fat Drunk Baby is oblivious to the fact that if you're actually a good father, you don't SAY you're a good father. And Fat Rob, do you ever take that cock out of your mouth to breathe? "The best!" ???

And now a funeral is showbiz? Athletes, firefighters, soldiers, cops, and deejays. All the same.

Mike gives himself snaps for getting through a funeral.

The lesson is don't piss off your kids? Yeah, wouldn't want your daughter handing it out to both the baseball AND soccer team first month of college.

And Fat Rob, I believe Mr. Rod Stewart knows where the fucking song should start. Less cock, more breathing.

Mike didn't like it when he bought that tanning bed and it was never shipped to him. He even went to court to try and get his money back. He also has no problem taking people's money and not sending what they bought. Hypocrite.

If this Fraudcast® was animated by someone with Gabe Strine's skill....a person who also hated these idiots......I would definitely tune in. It would be REAL comedy gold. It would be an internet sensation.

As for Buzz, he's got to be the most boring dope head/swinger in history. So feminine and PC. I used to like his little comments and laugh on the show, but he is too much of a puss to stand up to Fat Ass. That always bothered me. Buzz had some potential. Little balls for such a lady's man. Tight-shirted douchebaggery.

I still think that baby looks like him. Has anyone looked into this? I don't listen anymore.

Not to be a dick, but you are wrong. Gmail and Constant Contact can track opens if you include receipt requests. In fact, most newsletter systems report out on percentage of opens.

I contactd PayPal already too.
When talking to the AG office on Monday I will also mention the illegal contest they ran with the Jack Cassity shirts.
To think I have been a D&M fan since the 90's and it comes to this.

Gabe Strine's skill? The guy ripped off South Park designs and plugged them into an off-the-shelf animation package and laid it over existing audio. His "animation" consists of an occasional shoulder shrug. I don't know why anyone would pay for this crap in the first place, to be honest.

So Mike actually expected a bunch of 18 year olds to fall all over themselves for the chance to meet him? Even though he hasn't been on the air for damn near half their lives?

That's almost as delusional as the Blobb thinking he's in the business of show.

But I must admit the Wayne Newton bit was actually funny for a change in spite of the canned laughter. But that was about it for the week.

Coming up. Podcasts You May Not Need

Oscar apparently fixed Mike's Facebook page for him, but he tells Mike that the Facebook fiasco wasn't his fault. He says Facebook "boned you good." But he never says how exactly that happens. How does Facebook suddenly screw up your page without you doing anything to it?

He does mention that Mike doesn't really need to use a "cleaner" on a Mac because Macs aren't as susceptible to viruses as a PC (something 95% of the population already knows).

He also tells Mike that if he wants to clean or protect his computer, he needs to buy some software for that (like Norton, for instance) instead of just downloading a "cleaner" from a pop-up ad!!!

Yes, Mike downloaded some sort of computer "cleaner" from an actual pop-up ad. Who the hell does that?

In the meantime, the podcast reached a whole new level of boring nothingness this week. I think having a baby in the house has sucked the last little bit of energy that Mike had right out of him.

It's become downright insulting that Mike expects to make a living from something so lacking in thought and effort. And he even expects people to buy tickets to come and see him.

The week wrapped up with a truly boring visit from the Oakton wine shop guy, which was just a chance for Mike to eat and drink uncontrollably and do it for free.

Mike was talking about Carla and the baby on the show and said that he really wished he could go back to when he was 30 and do things different. He was implying that he would have started his life with Carla instead of his second wife. Too bad he couldn't legally marry his wife back then, for when Mike was 30, his future wife was only 8 years old.

So when Mike looked like this his wife would have looked like this.

Outside of Bars, where does he go? His Country Club? That was a nice surprise wasn't it? To find out that Fat Lazy Entitled Baby, the man who cries poor once a show, the man who openly begs for $, the man who shared an Amazon wish list so his lemmings could shower his child with gifts...has been paying CC dues all along...The FLEB that couldn't kick down some $ for RJ has been paying membership dues all along...Wow...What a greedy bastard...Think he was using show funds for that as well?

Perhaps someone who's received such a VIP mailing would post it with the headers?

...don't forget to mention the fact that they're fraudulently advertising the special two week Hulu Plus deal is "exclusively for TMOS listeners," whereas even a quick Google search reveals that it's an incredibly common offer, especially among podcasts.

If I owned a store, and I attempted to lure customers by advertising that they could only get a product at my store, when that product was obviously available elsewhere from similar stores (i.e., other podcasts), I'd be accused of false advertising.

(What's stupid is that he doesn't have to use the "ONLY, EXCLUSIVELY for TMOS listeners!" language in the promos...but he stubbornly keeps on using it.)

Like most of Red Sox Nation, Mike is a fucking poser who has a very shallow understanding of the team's history. If someone told Mike, "Yeah, it would have been great to see Ted Williams in his heyday, tipping his hat to the crowd after a home run." Mike would be, "That would be great," oblivious to how wrong that statement is.

As for the Maine Moxie thing, I assume LFF went to Maine for a few family vacations as a kid. Spending a couple of weeks in a state when you were a kid doesn't make you a fucking expert on it, despite his claims to the contrary. The guy probably doesn't know lobster is a big deal in Maine, either.

I am a successful Weigh Not customer who has lost over 100 lbs. I had to buy all new clothes and even went off some meds. The bedroom has been much more exciting and I feel like a whole new person. It's been about 5 months since I hit my ideal weight and thanks to the Weight Not program teaching me how to eat for life I've only gained back 123 lbs. This program really works and I can't say enough about it. If you've struggled with your weight and have given up hope, do yourself a favor and call Weight Not today. You won't regret it. One other thing, does anyone have a good recipe for tater tot casserole?

While it's interesting to note that every radio endorser I'm aware of has gained the weight back (the most recent BOAD demonstrates this with multiple examples), I'm sure the problem for each is the same underlying issue that caused the situation in the first place.

To wit, Chad was doing some pretty serious food planning (he started a pork podcast!) after he got weightnot svelte. This was obviously the case for Robb.

It's a testament to his self-centered assholeness. He loves New England so much that he never partook in any of the local culture, became a BoSox fan only when it was a trendy thing to do and is a Caps fan despite the fact the Bruins are a traditional NHL power.

The guy is a fucking poser. I guarantee when he lived in CT he ran around in a Yankees hat because the Red Sox were losers. He loves New England so much that he went to A fucking U when he could have gone to Boston College, Boston University, U-Mass, U-Conn, Providence, etc.

The truth is LFF had no love for New England when he lived there and couldn't wait the fuck to get out of there when he could. There's nothing wrong with that. Just don't pretend to love a place you obviously hated growing up because Good Will Hunting, Tom Brady and two World Series made it popular.

Here's the real deal:

Mike O'Meara is a sadsack of a man. He's had a kid at far too old an age and continues to live a lifestyle of a person thirty years younger despite it.

He had a good career with Don Geronimo and nation syndication bolstered not only his wallet, but his ego--something that would eventually become the noose around his neck. After Don left, that ego dragged him through a year of solo radio then into the heap that is Internet Podcasting. On his first day, he announced that he wasn't anything like those around him, that he was a 'professional broadcaster', when in reality he was a club jock who got extremely lucky.

Don Geronimo knew, and knows, radio. He knows how to use every tool provided to him and Mike O'Meara was (and is) just that: a tool. Don knew how to regulate, use, control and make the most out of not only Mike, but Robbbbbbb and everybody else on the show. Don Geronimo is truly a radio guy and since Mike was there for the ride, as a usable tool, he thinks that he is too.

Mike O'Meara isn't half as good as he thinks he is. He is the bottom rung of a ladder much taller then he could ever imagine and sooner or later all the shit he's been slinging will catch up with him.

Enjoy it while it lasts, Mike. Everybody who listens, everybody who's followed you and everybody who's seen you, talked to you, they can all see the cracks starting to form.

To be fair, Bridgeport was (is?) a shithole, so U-Conn's out, he would have wrecked his knee decades earlier, Providence? He wasn't getting into any Ivy League schools, so scratch Brown, also scratch U-Mass, BU and BC.

In those days AU was just as much a safety school as UMd was, and you could apply to Md in August and start in the fall semester. So Fat Drunk Baby had to prep TWO FUCKING YEARS to get into a safety school. Kind of puts that almighty diploma into perspective, don't it?

"...before the they go on sale to the general public". Is anyone surprised that nobody proof-read the email? I normally wouldn't harp on a simple error like that, but these people literally (!) cannot do anything without fucking it up. Even a simple email has errors in it. A simple email that they sent out to anyone who bought anything from them, not just VIP members. So much failure in this group.

Mike is something of an expert on spelling and grammar, no way he messed it up....or proofed it.

Because LFF is an expert on intellectual property law.

It's a lame way to let the VIP members think they are getting extra stuff for their $$$$ and it won't cost O'Meara anything. It's a win - win for everyone!

Well we will all know how well ticket sales went on the weekend soon!

I doubt they sold 30 over the weekend.

I don't know if TMOS would admit advanced ticket sales sucked.

Not being from the area, I don't know how big the venue is or how many tickets they'd have to sell before being considered "sold out". They will probably claim "almost sold out" status until they take the stage to a half empty theater the night of the show.

Apparently, (and I hate to admit this), they DID sell out the State last time. The standard configuration of the State is around 800 people (1/2 standing - 1/2 seated); I don't know if they used the standard configuration. I also heard (from people who went) that the show was brutal, so let's see if the ongoing spiral of the failcast affects their ability to find 800 local suckers.

Did they do a live show today?

With the shootings at the Naval Yards I didn't know if Mike would put on his super DJ suit and headed down to rescue people. He knows what they are going through, he blew out a knee fighting in a bar once!

I assume the whole show(if live) was all about the shootings?

As you know, fat deejays have a special bond with Hell's Angels, cops, firemen, the military, hockey players, first responders, cardiac surgeons, concert pianists, and salsa dancers. I have no doubt that LFF will be able to explain why he, above all others in the metro area, has been specially affected emotionally by this tragedy. Any luck, two whole episodes, with Rob(b) chiming in with, "That's so true."
