I had to eat a few things and then watch a few zombies on the cinemas and then was listening to Everything Off-Beat on Chicago's WLUW, former home of the Funko Hub. Everything Off-Beat plays the best in new ska and reggaes from across the gloves, coming at you, Sundays at 10pm 9pm central

Fleetwood Mac had some good songs...

I don't "like" artists... That's stupid... that makes it sound like you like every second of every song...

I like songs.... more specifically... I like pieces of songs... at certain points in my life...

That song is nice... It was especially nice earlier tonight...

lemme put it this way:

I hate all "white rock" music.

white people "rocking out"..........makes me wanna puke.

late sixties, seventies, eighties and beyond is nothing but dirty, hippy, new wavey, alt, hipster, retro, bullshit, no rhythm, no soul, no beat, boring, bland WHITE GUY "rock" music. That's it to me. THat's all I see when I look at any kind of rock past early rock n' roll and rockabilly and all that.

I don't think you've actually ever listened to that music, Miz...

I think those bands symbolize something for you... I think you dislike the bands because of some preconceived notion you have about them or their genre... not because of their music... I think if you sat down and listened to music... and didn't ask yourself what band or what genre you were listening to.... you might actually find some new songs you like...

This is what I believe...

Miz... what is the "newest" song you liked? When was the last time you appreciated a new artist's work without first reading up on them?

that's true, I hate all that music and a large part is the "stink" around it. It's the music I've always heard people talk about all my life, the music I've always already heard all my life, so naturally I'm NOT INTERESTED in it WHATSOEVER. I like to find new and different things to me, things that I HAVEN'T heard or heard of or had crammed down my throat all my life. That's part of it. Also, I HONESTLY do not enjoy most 70's rock music, or really most rock music besides a very small bit of punk and of course early rock and roll.

the newest song I liked without knowing what it was? I'm not sure which is newest, but I found a really cool hip-hop/country/bluegrass artist named Rench, and his band Battlestar, which is country-rap. It works, for real. I stumbled on Simon Chardiet and his band Simon and The Bar-Sinisters....a "rock" band---there you go----I'm not really totally closed minded, I just have strong preferences. But the Bar-Sinisters play a cool surf-rockabilly kind of rock and roll music that's very independent and very catchy. I like Antibalas, a great afro-beat band from New York. Picked up Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings without knowing much about them. Also recently got into Solomon Burke. Fantastic. I like this cool circus music/klezmer/americana sort of band called Circus Contraption. They're an actually functioning travelling three ring circus AND a band.

...I'm all out of stuff...

every contemporary ska and or reggae band worth listening to is white. Just like jazz, the music has been passed on to a different group of people who appreciate it. I do like the music, it just so happens most all of it was created by black people. Now that whiteys play it better, I like that now too.

How do you find the richest person in mexico?

Why do mexicans have re-fried beans?

Have you ever heard of a mexican doing anything right the first time?

Why don’t Mexicans teach driver’s Education and Sex Education on the same day?

Because they don’t want to wear out the donkey.

What’s the difference between a white and a mexican?

A shower.

Why dont they have the olympics in Mexico?

Because anyone who can run jump or swim is already accross the border.

having an open mind to the universe and all that mess is great, it really is, but there's also something to be said for KNOWING WHAT YOU LIKE AND KNOWING A LOT ABOUT IT. And furthermore, for KNOWING WHAT YOU DON'T LIKE, WHAT YOU HATE, AND HATING THE EVER LIVING SHIT OUT OF IT.

I call that taking a stand. I call that convinction in the things you feel strongly about.

I have a handful of things that I fucking hate.... unfortunately, those things seem to be everywhere... I try to find things to like... I am actively looking for things to like... because I'm so sick and tired of hating all the time...

Yeah... it's always good... don't get in a rut...

Plus, just because you hate something, doesn't mean you should avoid it completely... I think you need to expose yourself to things you hate... You just said it yourself... It's ok to hate things... Why don't you punish yourself and listen to something you hate every once in a while?

Eat a few different things that you hate....

Watch a few different things that you hate...

Read a few different things that you hate...

What's wrong with that?

I like new order amongst a lot of other things for the same reason you like your ska and jazz. I'm very open when it comes music, there isn't much I hate. I'm gonna check out that WLUW, sounds cool.

I dunnnooo about Primus though...

I just bought a Niggers With Attitude CD because I realized I kinda like that older gangster rap back when it was actually about some shit......I don't think I ever HATED that stuff though. It just wasn't my thing. I'm open.....I just don't know if I'm open to the Mac. I think Stevie Nix is a discusting pig. She makes me want to throw up in my penis.

dude, there's a new album out by reggae legend Little Roy......it's all reggae and even some ska covers of Nirvana songs. It's awesomo, bro, seriously. I'm not even kidding. Have an open mind, harryo. It's on the I-Tunes right now. Just download Little Roy's version of "Lithium". See if you like it. I think it's really damn good, and I don't even care for Nirvana.

I find that music is a tool to compliment, enhance, change and or set a mood. There are many tools in the toolbox. Some you just prefer over others.

well, my tool is ska and reggae. I have a Jamaican tool.

harry, is there something wrong with just HAVING SO MUCH LOVE for one particular sound above all others? Why must we all enjoy and judge everything equally? I have a thing that I absolutely LOVE. It's one of the very few things in life that brings me JOY. What's wrong with that? I love other things too........it's just that those things are my mistressess......I'm married to the Jamaican sound. That's my bitch. It gives me pleasure. It gives me a lot of pleasure.

Always the last to sleep. Doomed to watch the sunrise everyday alone.

People say sunrises look beautiful, well I hate them.

It stares right back at me, mocking me.

Another day wasted, a day that hasn't even started yet.
