some things do not need to be technologically advanced, for example toilets. now, its cool and all not having to press buttons after you shit. but lets say the urinal next to this toilet is broken so you are forced to pee in this toilet. the sensors dont pick up someone standing there. how are you supposed to flush, practically? i for one do not want to have to pull my pants all the way down, sit, and pee. thats degrading. i have encountered this toilet several times and what i have been doing is tricking the sensor to think someone is sitting by placing my hand there for 10seconds or so, then remove it. i think that is stupid.

had a few couples over to drink some wine, have some good conversations. Talked about 9/11 quite a bit, the state of the country. i looked around the living room where we were gathered. All of us, mid to late 30s. Making good salaries, I'd estimate the low around 90 and the highest close to 200. Advanced degrees. Some with kids. I remarked with the economy and all how it is, how lucky each of us were with our careers to not be affected and live the life we do.

I drove two of my buddies to Wegmans in my new S550. Got some more booze, some dessert. Thought more about 9/11. Then I thought for a second about Misery, and what a pathetic loser he is. I busted my ass to get what I have. He blames others and lives the life of emptiness.
