Dead to rights...

You are under no (legal) obligation to report a crime that is being planned. However, if it became known that the suspect said something like, "I'm going to rob a bank tomorrow," and you
jokingly replied, "Pick up a couple thousand for me!" some might argue that you conspired with the criminal. That could open you to
some culpability.
So, a co conspirator or liar and fabricator? Or accessory before the fact?
Accessory Before The Fact
Definition
http://definitions.uslegal.com/a/accessory-before-the-fact/
A person who aids, abets, or
encourages another to commit a crime but who is not present at the scene. An accessory before the fact, like an accomplice, may be held criminally liable to the same extent as the principal. Many jurisdictions refer to an accessory before the fact as an accomplice.
