Accident at Backlick Road and Fullerton, 6 PM on Weds.----claims-3-lives
Has anyone found out the names of the victims? Backlick Rd was still closed in both directions at 11 PM last night. Two men and a woman were killed. The Toyota truck drove across the median into oncoming traffic.
The two occupants of the pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was driving the Jeep Cherokee and was pronounced dead at the hospital

I heard one of the victims was decapitated. Probably the one the mention in the article that "was beyond help" of CPR.

That is very sad. The Lorton Patch has several pictures of the scene after the people were removed.
I feel for the EMTs & others that were on the scene. To see such carnage due to someone not paying full attention to their driving.

Apparently Wright got it wrong, it wasn't the woman in the Jeep who was taken to the hospital.

At approximately 6 p.m., Fairfax County 911 recived a call reporting a head-on collision on Backlick Rd near Fairfax County Parkway.
One person was reported ejected. Crews found mulitple cars involved.
They confirmed one person ejected and another trapped in the Jeep. Both were deceased.
Another was trapped in the upside down pickup. Crews removed this victim, and he was transported to Fairfax Trama in cardiac arrest.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.

I ran to the Jeep, which was the closest vehicle to me, and I see a *lady lying in the passenger-side rear seat*, and *her hands were resting on the passenger-side front seat*…."
I don't know if I could ever recover from seeing such a gruesome scene firsthand.
However, it is heartwarming to know that there are quick-acting, Good Samaritans in the world like this autobody employee.

my heart goes out to mr & mrs cetto as well as jamies wife and children the loss is tragic with prayers, friends,time & love and help from the lord they will get through this also to the other families who lost loved one prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of loss and sorrow
why do people have to look for all the bad-or wrong in people who is to say that it wasnt something wrong w/truck mechanics or something .... wrecks aren't always due to drugs alcohol speed or wreckless driving and no the driver of the toyota was a american and a friend of the family, a husband a son a father and a friend

Triple Fatal Crash in Newington Area
West Springfield District Station – Three people died after a three-vehicle crash near Backlick Road and Fullerton Road on Wednesday, August 10 around 6 p.m.
An investigation determined a man driving a 1993 Toyota pickup truck was headed southbound on Backlick Road; he had one passenger in his vehicle. For unknown reasons, the Toyota crossed over the median and struck a 1999 Jeep Cherokee head-on, then side-swiped a 1996 Oldsmobile sedan. The pickup truck flipped and came to rest on its roof in the northbound lanes.
The driver of the Toyota, James A. Cetto II, 39, of 4656 Evansdale Road in Dale City, was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead. Cetto’s passenger, a 41-year-old man, was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
Katherine F. Miller, 52, of 7207 Evanston Road in Springfield, suffered significant head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Oldsmobile, a 47-year-old man, did not require medical attention.
The drivers of the Oldsmobile and the Jeep were wearing seatbelts; the occupants in the Toyota were not. The name of the third victim will be released pending next of kin notification. Crash Reconstruction detectives continue to investigate to determine if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.

My money is on the carelessness and neglect of the driver.

What is wrong with you people!!! And who in the hell are you to judge? Me deepest condolences go out to all of the families and friends. I knew Jamie years back and while he had his demons that he has been fighting for years he was a good hearted person. Regardless of my opinion of him, have you no heart or compassion for his wife and three sons, not to mention his parents and sister. Jamie may have made a terrible decision the other day, we do not know yet - but must you blast him - his loved ones do not need to see or hear the awful comments being made. I guess you really don't have to care because the consequences simply aren't that great. Think about that the next time you get a photo ticket, or busted for 10mph over, or an expired license plate.

Seriously, this guy had complete disregard for the law and everyone else on the road. He was given plenty of chances and look at the DWIs and how many times he was cited for not wearing a seat belt. Thank goodness he didn't decide to wear a seat belt for the first time last week b/c then he probably would have survived and get to kill some more people in the future. Just because he died, doesn't mean that he was not a complete dick who didn't give a shit if he jeopardized the lives of everyone around him. Sorry for his family but this guy had it coming.

If the above driving record is actually that of the James Cetto that caused this terrible crash just look at how many times he was found "Guilty In Absentia". This is obviously a guy that had a complete disregard for the law, he didnt even give a shit to show up in court to face his multiple charges. First, I would like to say all of you people bashing Jamie need help. You need to keep your rude opinions to yourselves and not post them where his three children, wife, mother, father and sister can read them. You are no better than him if you have no feelings for his wife,children and family. I personally feel horrible for everyone involved. This was a horrific accident. Bashing him is only hurting his loved ones not him and they are dealing with enough pain. My heart goes out to each family that lost a love one in this terrible accident.

First of all if you read the news and the ages on the court records you bring up, you will see that the pages of records posted were that of 2 people Jamie(R.I.P) and his young son. God is the only true judge, and Jamie was a wonderful husband, father and friend. As for the choices we make and the consequences, all of you who are saying the terrible things about him and making rude comments about other victims....what can you really say about yourselves?? My prayers and wishes are with Jamie's family, his wife, sons, parents and all of his friends. It is hard enough to accept this loss, take into consideration the feelings of the family and friends who will have to accept the outcome of the crash investigation. R.I.P Jamie- Rock on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His son is a bigger piece of shit than his father was.
Assault on a Police Officer, dumbed down to A&B - simple. Possession, sentenced to probation, violated that. Malicious wounding. Drinking underage ($592 fine, ouch!) unpaid. Numerous drunk in public charges.
And, like father like son, a guilty in absentia verdict for driving on a suspended OL. Remains unpaid.
Kid graduated High School a year ago.
