A 45-year-old man was killed in Fairfax City on Sunday, Oct. 28, after being hit by a vehicle driven by a Centreville resident.
Fernando Pardo, 45, of
no fixed address, was fatally injured when he was struck while walking at about 7 p.m. in the 9500 block of Lee Highway, just north of Fairfax Circle.
Pardo, who was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Fairfax City Police said.
Pardo was struck by a 2005 Honda operated by Chong-Hwan Son, 27, of the 6100 block of Muster Court in Centreville. Police said neither speed nor alcohol appeared to have been a factor in the accident. No charges have been placed as of this time.
