Actually, it might apply under the definition if the EZPass was set to improperly indicate that the vehicle meets HOV requirements when it does not. But that wasn't the case in question.

All of 66 inside the Beltway is HOV-3 outbound M-F from 300 PM to 700 PM. $11.55 from Rosslyn to 495 on Thu. No thanks.

Once again you answer what wasn't asked. You were not "banned" or subject to fines for using the inside the Beltway 66 HOV-3 lanes with the two of you in your vehicle with an EZPass. You'd simply pay the toll.

In fact, the opposite is the case. The biggest change is that you now ARE permitted to use the lanes and pay the toll if under the HOV where previously you were not permitted to do so and may have been subject to applicable fines.

So, yes, you Google fucked yourself again.

Well, we made it home on I-66 just fine after last night’s 4:05 game, and for the low, low toll of $0.00 — the same as it would have cost the two of us after any 1:05 game prior to the widely missed events of this past Dec 5. On the down side, the Nats were anemic again in being rather easily dispatched by the Braves, and worse yet, my knee was not at all happy about doing a second game in 50+ hours. We’ll be back to the park Monday at 7:05 against the Rays (used to be the Devil Rays, but Xtians complained), so that will be the next test for the knee. In the meantime, we have today’s 1:35 Braves finale on TV with LHP Mackenzie Gore (24) making his inaugural regular season start against LHP Jared Shuster (24) who’s also never done this before. Should be interesting at the least.

Real President Joe will meanwhile have even more tornado damage to help out with this week, and he will likely be keeping an eye also on whatever ridiculous circus shenanigans the so far just once-indicted Fat Boy can pull off in NYC in coming days. I imagine Lindsey Graham will be outraged or something. No need to be gentle meanwhile. Tough on crime is definitely the way to go here.

In other news, LF Corey Dickerson (almost 34) will get an MRI today for a calf strain. He has a history with that injury, so might miss a spell. And former Nats #1 prospect LHP Robbie Ray (31.5) suffered a flexor strain working for SEA and will now be off to the 15-day IL.

Already on the list of really sick cities, FCC has also not seen its population rebound from pandemic lows the way other area jurisdictions have. No wonder really, as the actual question might be over how nearly 15K folks could have become trapped there to begin with.

LOL! If you were aware that you could use E-ZPass on 66 inside the beltway during rush hours for Non-HOV vehicles, you wouldn't have droned on about fines.

Those of us who have the luxury of living inside the beltway have kept abreast of all happenings for years and adjusted accordingly. Apparently, that notion and $11 are too much for you to handle.

Really bad fuckup for you. And, once again, you find yourself in a position from which you can't recover.

See how they run! You fucked up totally on HOV-2/3. It was four months ago. You were still in the dark. $11.55 on I-66 is meanwhile to be compared to a cost of $0.00 for the same trip on right-next-door Route 29. Want to post your idiot-list of reasons to shell out that cash again, fool? It’s like paying a Master Mechanic to do your oil changes, another foolish habit of yours. And what I’ve actually been doing for five years is hammering West County wussies for moving out there so they could ‘afford more house’, then whining when their cost for a Greenway/66 commute into DC went to $18. The idea that I was not aware of such tolls is as dumb as your hollow RAMW claims.

Like the option to use tolls on 66 inside the beltway starting in 2017, it was well advertised. In fact, the switch to HOV3 in 2022 was announced in 2017.

You missed the announcement about the option to use tolls inside the beltway.

People have been making the poor decision to move outside the beltway for those reasons for decades. You included.

Is supported by all your whining about fines. Fines are nonexistent for those who have E-ZPass. You claimed you had it. So, why even mention fines?

No, not like that at all. I watched them putting up the gantries to support collection of those tolls. They came as no surprise to me at all. You however put HOV-2 where it never should have been. Big mistake.

Fines for HOV violations are very different from your RAMW data in that they actually exist. So (in some people, at least) does the sense not to pay $11.55 for a trip that can be done as easily for $0.00. With a handy real chicken stop available along the way.

Still not paying any $11.55 to drive on 66 from Rosslyn to 495 when the same is available for $0.00 right next door. Also not paying master mechanics to do oil changes. I leave that sort of stuff to the stupid people. Finished off the last of the chicken during the Nats game, btw. Fine effort from Mackenzie Gore et al. today.

And $11.55, which in the end is the problem. It’s so much more than $0.00, which (again) is what the same trip under the same conditions would have cost prior to the Dec 5 HOV changes that you missed, and what the same trip would have cost on next door Route 29.

Did you mean ‘easily’? And yes it can. Route 29, Route 50, the GW Parkway. But 66 to Route 7 has been our regular route for a good while now.

Not sure how that would make any sense at all. The wife would like to sleep in longer than she can and still make it to a 1:05 game anyway.

Well, the clowns and clods seem uncertain here. Whether it is better to pay tolls or NOT to pay tolls: that is the question. As an economist, I have an opinion, but some here may rather oddly not share that particular view. Still, it would seem quite clear what the founders of the tolls intended, and $11.55 to go from Rosslyn to 495 should serve to make their case abundantly clear.

Meanwhile and at 39 degrees, it was just a bit nippy outside when I first got up this morning. Blue skies and lots of sunshine with southerly winds that were happily back to just the single digits. Looking forward to a fine day out this way, with perhaps a few clouds around mid day, but mostly sunny and pleasant with a high of 71. Should still be in the 60s for tonight's doings at Nats Park, but no more than a light jacket should be called for. There is more concern for how the knee will react to a third time around, but we'll just play it as it lies. That’s a golf term for those who are unfamiliar.

Real President Joe may have gotten a chuckle from Our Little Margie’s false-flag wipeout on 60 Minutes. She is so far out of her league. Much like Our Little Linus. And the stage is set for more comedic moments this week as Manhattan has its turn at a DJT arraignment. Somewhat sadly, they’ll try to be nice about it.

In other news, the Nats’ bullpen did a fine job in following up on a strong 5.1 inning start by Mackenzie Gore and locking down a 4-1 victory over ATL. All our runs came in the first against Jared Shuster who was tough after that shaky first frame that featured two bases-loaded walks. Coming into town today will be the undefeated (3-0) Tampa Bay Rays. They’ll have righty Drew Rasmussen (27) on the hill. He’s been a decent back of the rotation arm for them. We’ll go with RHP Trevor Williams (30), signed this past off-season to fill a similar role. He was most recently with the Mets, but spent five years in PIT before that. The hope is that he can be a veteran presence on the staff in DC while not being terrible. We’ll see.

All hopes for FCC’s not being terrible were of course dashed a long time ago, leading the wife and myself to get out of Dodge. First McLean, and then the Sweet Spot. Talk about moving on up! Fifty years on, and the Little City is still little and still just a no-vision, directionless dump, while we have gone on to become wealthy retirees enjoying all the best that life has to offer. Yay, us!

Personal experience and map services indicate differently. Particularly during rush hours.

Well, you're stupid. If $11 a few times a year presents a problem for you, it could be s sign that other adjustments to your life might be in order.

Both seem to present problems for him in his current situation.

Fyi- - Vienna Rexall Drug Center in Vienna offers a good selection of, off-the-shelf equipment, to assist with getting around. They can assist with ordering anything and nice people. Amazon.com is also your friend for user reviews and fast shipment.

Both tolls and fines exist with respect to HOV. It is of course best to avoid each of them whenever possible, even though some here are apparently just plain too dumb to realize that. Our own situation has now been resolved simply by swapping all of our remaining 1:05 games for others with later start times. This is not to say that we might not choose to swap one or more back again should they somehow become desirable. Otherwise, barring Waze warnings, we will now be using I-66 out of Rosslyn after every game without ever needlessly and foolishly shelling out $11.55 or some such for the privilege.

Organizing your leisure activities around 66 toll schedules must be pretty depressing, particularly when you are trying to pass yourself off as wealthy. That's what? About $50/year that he finds to be such a problem.

Sure they do. But, just like those magic spade trucks, fines are N/A in this case.

The Rexall was better when the lunch counter was still around, but we still do use it from time to time. They’ve been a reliable source for distilled water of late. Well stocked already though with canes, crutches, and walkers thanks to our excellent health coverage. No need for more of any of those.

Humiliating would be fretting about $11 tolls.

Our plan includes 41 games, the majority being on Tue-Thu-Sat. 1:05 starts are all too common on Sat and also when Thu is a getaway day for the visitors.

The larger problem of course is with paying at all for what was free until the HOV changes of Dec 5 (that you missed) and what is still free right next door. Your two idiot lists of supposed bonus benefits from travel on I-66 are just a hoot. So ridiculous.

And how many of those left? 3 or 4?

For most, it's not much of a problem. Guess the COLA doesn't stretch that far.

Do you feel like you're paying twice? Just like you paid twice for the Falls Church water system. It hurt that bad, eh?

> (that you missed)

Knew about in 2017 when it was announced and tolls became an option (which you missed).

But clearly not as convenient or efficient for you.

For some, the tolls don't present a problem. The less than $50 clearly weighed heavily on you.

Yeah, here we are comfortably tucked into our reserved in-stadium parking spot. Time to fill out lineups before we head down to the Red Porch for some food. Little bit of rush hour delay downtown but nothing serious. And of course none of our ticket moves is going to be based on wealth considerations. The entire baseball enterprise doesn’t make a dent in that.

Well, another day, another limp sort of loss for the Nats, this time 6-2 to the still undefeated Rays. And of course just more horrible humiliation for those so seriously handicapped by their own grinding levels of ignorance, envy, and ever so brutal butthurt. These clowns simply can’t compete on any level at all. Meanwhile, game time last night was 2:25, which is like getting thrown out of the park after the seventh inning. Bozo Bobby is simply ruining the game with his incessant meddling. Baseball is best played to the beat of a summer’s gently babbling brook, not that of some raging, rushing river. Let the backlash begin! No problems on the roads headed home, though there was a bit of roadwork on I-66 to be alert through. The toll for that was $0.00, which happens to be the maximum amount we are willing to pay, given the competition. And I’m glad to say that the knee was and is not much worse for wear after its experiences on Monday. It’s sore, but I’m up and around just fine this morning. And having swapped out the Wednesday 1:05 game against TB, we’re off now until 4:05 on April 15 against CLE.

Real President Joe meanwhile helps welcome Finland into NATO while also shaking his head over the continuing bad behavior being displayed by his worse than just disgraced predecessor. The Fat Boy is of course being forced out of Florida and into a Manhattan courtroom to face some music today, and these may be just the opening strains of a major opus. Expect FOX News and the rest of the tone deaf to object. Losers.

In other news, Anthony Rendon’s suspension has been reduced to four games, and one time Nat (and Nat nemesis) RHP Hunter Strickland (34) has signed a minor league deal with CIN. Otherwise, the Nats and Rays will square off again today at 7:05 with new fifth starter RHP Chad Kuhl (30) set to go against LHP Josh Fleming (26). Neither of them is very good, so we’ll see what transpires.

No such suspense of course when it comes to dismal doings in the derelict dump of Falls Church City. Their status as a shopping and dining desert remains clear, and their supposedly being within walking distance of Westover is hardly much of a feather in the cap either. Best bet as always is simply to steer clear of the Teeny Tiny City altogether.

It was well advertised. In fact, the switch to HOV3 in 2022 was announced in 2017. How you've gon 5 years without knowing about the toll options inside 66 is the real story here.

As is certainly more than well known by now, Linus has no real recourse here but his typical lame resort to serial lying and purposeful misrepresentation. His history here is of course both long and disastrous, involving such calamities as scallop season, water taxis, the Water Wars, equity lines, NWS, CMYK, 1986, and various shades of HTML. Brockmont, Brine, Moore Avenue, and the whole notion of awnings and majestic views. North-south, lunch-dinner, copyright, Cafe Mozart, and Wash Ave. Westover, GUTS routes, and SES. Alicia, RAMW data, HOV 2/3 changes, and I-66 toll garbage. All just worthless slop that has been fabricated here over time by the clueless clown of FCC, a poster ever marked by it all as just a desperate babbling low-grade and useless shit-slinging loser who doesn’t know what a Sexy Fish is, in fact never jogs through Great Forest, and can’t recall where all the townhouses are. That’s not good.
