what.......the hell......ever happened to Saturday morning cartoons? Last time I was up before 1pm on a Saturday, there were no cartoons on....just farm reports, Joel Osteen, news, and infomercials. I realize kids of today have it different....they can watch cartoons anytime, anyplace. There's Cartoon Network. Youtube. But what happened to the great childhood passage of Saturday morning cartoons? It is missed.
Kids don't have to work to find porn anymore, or cartoons. When I was a kid, an old Playboy was like solid gold. You'd build a fort out in the woods just to stash it in....you'd build an entire secret society around it....a clubhouse, based entirely on the idea of an old issue of Playboy....if you were lucky, Hustler. Nothing's special anymore. Kids can get whatever they want, whenever. It's all just a click away. I don't like this. I remember watching that terrible movie with Michael Caine, Blame it on Rio, over and over again on VHS with my friends (way back when I had some), just for that scene where they're on the topless beach and you see some titties...it was something special. An experience. Kids today have completely lost that. They get all the porn and cartoons they want, and they don't have to work for it.
