Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Career here. Been in FFX Co for 10 yrs. Seen what was once a proud department turn into a shit show where political correctness has priority over safety.
The standard used to be pass the test, CPAT, physical, etc. and maybe you have a chance. Now it is if you have a slit and are a chink, spic, nigger or some other minority you are admitted AND fastracked to LT. Fucking joke.
To top it off, we now have a slew of DBag medics from PWC jumping ship and coming here! Just what we need, more incompetence.
I agree with what has been written, volunteers here in FFX Co are a joke. The only time I see them are when they show up for open house, celebrate FFX and fourth of july. Worthless.
Unfortunately, our ranks are just as bad. Major incident after major incident is filled with incompetence. Incompetent unit officers, BCs and FFs. I'm glad we don't go on roofs and try to avoid going in houses to put out fires now; i dont trust the dbags i run with to know what the fuck they are doing let alone trust some other station.
I just hope I can make it to retirement and then I am fucking out of this shit hole department. The people here are so cocky. They think putting out a fire is some special talent. Guess what? Its not.
By the way, I am participating the games. Come watch me!
When are they playing "shoot the unarmed suspect" and "fuck a volunteer in the station"? Is it before or after "fuck all the members of your VFD and Fire station"?

Do those firemen, policemen who wrecked their bikes racing today get workman'so comp or something? Are they on their own since it wasn't on the job, but they were representing their departments?
Good call Stir Fry....Lets get back to the subject at hand...What's the latest on our girl Kayla? Or has she moved on and some other aspiring badge bunny taken her place? In a department with over 2000 career and volunteer members, there has to be some sex based conspiracy going on.

22 has no shortage of sex conspiracies, from the chief down.

The divorce rate for career staff assigned to volunteer stations is huge. The juice ain't worth the squeeze.

Who would dig back through this whole thread to find that post? Kayla, is that you?!
Exactly. Why do. A vote of no confidence, that would only expose what we already know. Chief officers who can't lead and have an "anything goes" attitude towards what happens in the field. Guns in the station, sure. Drunk on duty? Go to the Tuesday night AA meeting at the Massey Bldg. Banging a volunteer? Try to keep it quiet so it doesn't disturb the rest of your shift who may get jealous. Then again, the volunteer will just bounce around on their own from station to station to see their favorite paramedics anyway.
At the Vienna fire station, #02, the volunteers and career staff work in close, friendly cooperation with both the Fairfax and Vienna Police Departments.
To FF RON (professional firefighter license plate); if you ever tailgate me again I will fucking break check your ass and smash your fucking skull in. That is all.

Thanks for the heads up. Same goes for the dipshit in the MERGENCY car.
Like most unions, they really only help the lame and lazy that should have been fired. Looking at some of the current employees, they are doing a pretty good job.

Tick...a bloated insect that attaches itself to a person trying to do his job.
firefighting is not a job- its a hobby, like stamp collecting or building model airplanes. sometimes its kinda an adrenelin rush but most of the time youre sitting around washing the units and waiting for someone to have a heart attack or crash their car.

That sums it up. Lots of sitting around for maybe 3 calls of which 1 you actually do something every 24 hours shift of which you work 10 a month.
