So I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I don't think it's a stretch to assume most people pulling onto Dabner Drive, Donegal Drive and Edgewater Street off of Loudoun County Parkway are driving to and from home.

Unicorp National Developments Inc. is building a new shopping center called The Shops at Centreville's Gateway at Route 28/29 intersection in Centreville. A 14,550 square-foot Walgreen's Pharmacy and a 5,700 square-foot Bank of America will replace an adult video store, ethnic grocery and psychic reader. Sitework is expected to start this month.

You hit the nail on the proverbial head. To even a casual observer it appears that the amenities that have been targeted to be cut are the ones that will save the least amount of money but will affect the largest number of people. For instance, they save $40K by removing portable toilets from 80 parks (affecting an estimated 174K people). Why not have coin operated toilets? Why not eliminate

Doesn't the fact that residents of this area have not been afraid to leave their houses unlocked and leave their garage doors open speak volumes as to how badly ill-informed you are about how "ghetto-like" this area is? West Centreville is a much nicer area than east Centreville - only a non-resident would not realize that.

No. This was not in London Towne... There is Stone Road and another development between LT and where this happened. This is across from the new Centerlee Business Park.

Zidel333 - you have painted the worst possible picture of what is happening to Centreville (but I would argue that things are not as bad as you have indicated). I have lived here since 1989 and there have been a lot of changes in Centreville starting about 1999. -- rapid influx of Korean and Hispanic immigrants who are about as segregated from each other and the rest of us Centrevillians as cou

Fairfax County police are looking for the person who improperly touched an 11-year-old Centreville girl at the Centreville Square Shopping Center. The incident occurred last Sunday, July 27, about 3:30 p.m., while she was shopping with friends. Police say an unknown man walked by them in the parking lot, grabbed the girl’s buttocks and walked away. He’s described as Hispanic, in his 30s, about

My commute takes me through South Riding on Loudoun County Parkway. Since I choose to commute through a community I do not even live in I try to respect the speed limit as there are usually a lot of bikers, joggers, walkers about. I try to keep it no more than low 50's in the 45 mph area... anyway; every single day there a handful of drivers who seem to think this is a drag strip - 65 mph is c
