awd is safer but it doesnt matter what type of Drivetrain your car has when you hit a patch of ice, thats where driver experience comes into play You should check out the other cars subaru has to offer cause they are all awd and they have some nice legacy's /forresters. also the 2.5rs is non turbo and a good bargain
