Generally speaking from memory (may not be 100% accurate): In VA it is legal to open carry a pistol w/o a permit. That is a pistol holstered view able from all sides, as long as that person is 21 and allowed to own a firearm. Private property can restrict then if they please. They cannot be taken to airports or jails or courthouses or schools or places of worship without good reason (with a very

Brown recluse is way worse than a black widow toxicity wise. That being said I have also seen black widows around my house in the Reston area.

What a bunch of whiners. Fun fact: You can call in and complain about car xyz with plate xyz all day long. Dispatch may even put a lookout on that make / model. But unless a sworn law enforcement officer witnesses such action with their own eyes it doesn't mean jack shit. Now a suspected DUI would be a different story and would be given more precedence I'm sure.

I see state police by nearly every northbound transponder spot during the evening rush. They are obivously looking for HOV violators.

Circle Ks are already coming in for some Exxon stations in Reston. Agree we need a wafflehouse. Biscuits and gray w/ a sweet tea for less than five bucks is pure awesome.

You will get nowhere near the speed from a satellite that you will from cable for internet. Satellite for internet should only be a last resort if you can't get anything else. FIOS is some of the most advanced and fastest internet you can get in the country so go for that if available. I've had it for over 2 years and never gone down once and does not slow down during peak usage like cox did, plu

Not sure but check out state and local government, and construction jobs. If you're willing to work a lot become a skilled construction worker and you can do pretty good, plenty of work with all the roads and metro expansion around here. Maybe look at working for fedex or ups in the warehouses as well.

Sallie Mae Bank Money market if you want it liquid and secure with decent interest. I do not work for them or am affiliated with them but is the best deal I can find. It is FDIC insured, and you get a checkbook for it. The interest rate is better than most CDs and they have no fees or BS to deal with. I have had them for a while for my cash emergency fund. http://banking.salliemae.com With cur

I live in the Reston area and am thinking of going Direct TV for the sports packages (NFL sunday ticket and hopefully pac12 network soon). Anyone have reviews? Does the service cut out in wind/rain/snow? How often does that happen? I currently have FIOS for tv. I will keep fios for internet if I do make the switch. Thanks!

Interesting, it was never suspended or revoked so I guess he's OK. Would be pretty funny if he got another one in VA and they suspended his VA driving privileges with a DC license and tags since he works in VA.

So I think this story is BS but wanted to ask. I have a coworker who has gotten a lot of tickets in VA and his licnese wa one ticket away from suspension. Anyway he recently moved to DC and got a DC license. He said that he now has a "clean" license with no points/risk of suspension on it. Is that true? I know his insurance will still be god awful cause all his VA tickets will come up on record.

Glad I don't live in Loudoun after reading this. Also can anyone shed light on why the airport authority wants to pay more to have union when VA is a right to work state?? http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/loudoun-county-in-hot-seat-on-approving-metros-silver-line-decision/2012/03/23/gIQAVjIeYS_story.html Loudoun County in hot seat on approving Metro’s Silver Line decision By

So have looked for this and see conflicting info. Does anyone know if the silver line will connect directly to the orange line tracks or will it simply dump everyone off at a falls church stop and everyone will then get on the orange line trains? Thanks.

+10000 No shit DON'T DO THIS STUFF. You are smoking god knows what chemicals with zero testing/quality control/regulation. Pot is a plant at least and has been smoked by millions for a very long time. If you smoke clean pot (grown hydro and not smuggled over in a damn gas tank). You're fine. Spice on the other hand is bad news any way you look at it. Trust me on this one. Lockie Wrote: ------

So I itimeze my taxes, and I know state license plate and registration fees are deductible but does this also hold true for our "personal property tax" aka the country stickers or lack there of for Fairfax?? I know it's paid to the county and not the state. How about the yearly inspection? Is that deductible? Thank you.

So can we define median here a bit? What If there is a foot median between the two roads (not elevated or anything). Second from reading the code it looks like passing a bus with its YELLOW lights flashing is just as bad as passing with the RED lights flassing is that correct??
