And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:1-3)
It gets worse... He's not only a jealous god, but he'll stalk your family for generations if he's jilted.
"You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me," (Exodus 20:5)

I not an atheist. I just have so many doubts. I was brought up in a Church that has failed so many. Molesting kids is not right. Hiding it is so bad. How come so many Catholics with young boys still believe in the church I can't fathom. The Catholic Church holds out on to so much BS.
They hate gays. They love little boys
They hate abortion but they do not support kids with special needs in their Catholic schools.

Like so many, you confuse the Church (or dogma or doctrine) with God. Find a new Church that doesn't try and redefine the Bible or the Word or come between you and God.

If god created all of his children to be like him he also created killers, men who rape women and men who rape boys. Wow! What a great god! I should worship him. No!
I don't believe in any of that crap.
To each their own. Right?
I guess the final answer will come when we die.
Till then I guess you should stay locked and loaded.
Reminds me of the people who survive tornados.
They say "God saved my life"!
But their neighbor got crushed and impaled.
So, God didn't like the neighbor?
Seems pretty arrogant of someone to consider God chose them to live, while others suffer agonizing deaths.
May I suggest that every occurance is random, and the concept of God as we imagine it to be is a fantasy?

Mobile home trailer parks are full of pedos and ex-cons. Ever notice tornados head straight for mobile home parks.
Even the Three Little Pigs realized that the house made of straw was more susceptible to wind than brick. The only "mobility" in mobile homes comes when they are picked up by tornadoes.
And yeah, mythological beings have very little to do with weather conditions. Although the Japanese had a good reason to revere the Kamikaze (up until the end of WWII that is).

We have the ability, so why not? You are arrogant enough to kill the spider who likes to watch you shower. What makes a human more special? Why can't the spider just enjoy his free show?

But God is presented to us as infallible, all knowing ,all seeing, and as a loving ruler of the universe.
As humans we are expected to be murderous, lying sacks of shit.
So even if there is a God, apparently he's as bad as us. Maybe worse.
Besides, if there was no abortion, who is going to care for all the unwanted babies? You?

You heard the stories of all of the acts of goodness and heroism; that was God working through people. Read The Hiding Place if you want to learn about God being there in the Holocaust. He gives us free will. We are all born with a sinful nature, but when we draw close to Him, we lead a more purposeful and purer life. I pray that all who read this will come to know the Lord. We are a blessed nation, who God has protected, but if we continue to turn our backs to Him, like the Israelites did, He will let the Assryians (Middle East) have at us. May you see God's face when you depart from serving Him in this short life.

Yes, God is presented as infallible, all knowing, and all seeing, but HE also is presented to have allowed judgement/punishment/wahtever you want to call it to happen to people. Sometimes even if they have done nothing wrong. Ever hear of the story of Job?
I merely pointed out what I see as hypocritical for somebody to say God is arrogant to chose life, when humans are just as arrogant when they decide to chose life or end it in the womb. I wasn't trying to say whether I agree with abortion or not, just pointing out the hypocrisy,,,,,,,

Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come and see!" I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

If you were to pick up the bible and read it you would understand :)
